PIN THIS For all those struggling to keep weapons in the stash and are dismantling em to "get more space" and end up with a mess, Buy "Gunfighter" Backpacks, each one can hold any weapon, saving up a lot of space and not losing any slot, i usually fill em with meds and ammo in order making an effective pseudo "Case", bought 10 of those and saved up a lot of space placing my full tuned weapons
I figured this out yesterday but i did something different than making it a pseudo case. I turn it into mini kits so that I can just grab something and go. Like take any backpack that holds a weapon on the side, put a gun on it and stuff a tactical rig in the backpack, fill it with mags, heals, etc. and you have a kit ready to slap on all you need to do is grab armor and headsets and thats it. Saved me a bunch of room and time.
you can store up to 3 m4s in some bags...2 in the bag and 1 on the gun slot in the bag...i believe they M4s have to have 10.5 or 14.5 barrels to fit inside the actual bag
If you hold "M" you can also open up the big map. With pressing "I" you open your inventory. Pressing "U" opens up your health tap. "J" opens your task tab. You can avoid clicking through UI this way
Solo is great if you act like a menace. Fire and movement. Know when to break contact. Retreat with plans to re-engage. Tons of stuff I've been utilizing has been working great tbh.
The very first tip was just what I needed to get the game, and I've watched a bunch of content for this game already at this point. PvE for a game like this is something I've wanted, I've gotten so burnt out of PvP from all the tens of thousands of hours of CoD, Battlefield, LoL, Dota 2, just got so tiring.
Be advised that the AI either have very inconsistent health pools, or will sometimes ignore damage. Once I put a good 10 rounds of 7.62x39 SP into an AI's chest and they did not die (they weren't wearing armor, by the way), I was then shot by them with an AKM using the same bullet and died in three shots while wearing armor.
Yup it was a great sell for a lot of us who want to do quests to unlock good gear and just go PvP when we have an over abundance of gear and can buy new stuff at lvl 2
Been enjoying PVE mode a lot with a buddy of mine, it's a hell of a lot of fun for what it is, and that is very early access. It absolutely has solid bones and I'm confident it'll progress into a great game. I've played on a 4070 Ti and 4060 laptop GPU and pretty much need to use DLSS/FSR to get over 60fps, however I don't feel like the graphical fidelity suffers in either case, which is amazing.

@@bxqpxd maybe not removed, because some poi are very far away, but for example the starting town next to camp base, u should get there by veichle, since it’s so close, also seeing where the heli is going so that if you are going the same place I can get on it

Another tip for 5.56 weapons. To save inventory space, switch from 30rd mags to 20rd mags. A 30rd mag takes up a 1x2 area in your storage. A 20rd mag takes up a 1x1 area. So, you can get an additional 10 rounds in the same space as a 30rd magazine.
this games really fun especially if youre squadded up...im almost lvl 20...if you just started i'd stay stick it out until like lvl 8 and u start unlock more guns and scops like the ELCAN and fully modded M4s at Gunny...work on GUNNY and handshake first....also it EATS your CPU
Do not forget about the ammo types. The beginning SP ammo is kinda bab but gunny sells M193 ammo for the M4 which is high velocity and full metal jacket penetrates armour better.
Fun fact. Not so much for the RCO (ACOG) optic but the CCO red dot used by the army uses the same mount as the RCO. The idea of seeing the front post is that in case your CCO (which uses a battery ik stupid idea but hey army) dies you are still able to flip up the rear sight and engage normally using the iron sights!
I love how similar most of it is to tarkov, like the controls and weapon modding and everything, but in my opinion is already so much better as a whole. I know they’re slightly different genres and play styles and all that, but after what bsg did this has been scratching my itch quite nicely.
pro tip: in order to heal yourself your medical kit can be in your safelock container or any container, but to heal another player or revive them, your medical supplies have to be in your pockets or tactical rig. they WILL NOT work in your backpack, all the options when you "examine" the other player will be grayed out. Treat blood loss first, as this is the the main reason most players go from "coma" to dead.
something I've done in games that don't let you set keybinds to stuff like your mouse buttons or mouse wheel L/R button (g502) is to create a macro key, in the Logitech ghub you record the key stroke and then delete the 'release' so it only shows at (e.g. z (down arrow)) and nothing else, it will ask you if you want to proceed without finishing the keystroke press "yes" and then you can set it to what ever you want on your mouse. *NOTE* I don't know how to create macros or if macros can be created in other mouse soft wears but I'd assume you can.
I don't see this talked about by anyone but if you remove the mag and the grip you can put guns INSIDE the back pack and not just in the weapon slot but you must remove grip and mag making it a 1x5 to do this for the bigger bag. for the scorp bag you would have to remove the stock as well to make it a 1x4. This is how i started to make more money on loot runs since nothing else is worth money but guns and guns sights.. Oh EDIT and you can remove all parts of the gun in the map you just need to right click on say the grip and click detach and it will come off, you just cant drag it off like you can a sight.
An amazing feature that would be entirely plausible in-world would be if the game turned off your active headset while in base, so as to not have your ears blown out by the helicopters. And then maybe at some point during the transport, either when boarding the copter or while disembarking, it could reactivate the active headset. Or at the very least, add a keybind for it.
I know my solution may be cost prohibitive for some, but I've been using a "PC Panel" for years and it is a life saver for that exact reason. I have the game sound assigned to a knob on the control deck and with one twist I kill all game audio without impacting discord, Spotify, etc. One friend bought one like 3 years ago on a whim, and now everybody I play with has one. It is a huge quality of life improvement, especially for games like Tarkov where I am constantly tweaking the volume.
Forgot to mention task bar. Health is “H” explosives is “G” and forgot the other. You have to put those items in a specific location, for instance not your back pack. It needs a lightning bolt next to the storage container in your inventory
FSR frame generation works wonders with my fairly old 2080, i even can afford to use native AA mode to keep things clear. also keep in mind that this game is very CPU hungry, so if you have an older model like mine 9700, it probably will introduce stutters where you'd be fine otherwise.
@gigabeef 7:25 you say that the gunslinger doesn't have a second weapon slot but you can clearly see that it does when you open the bag. Just thought i would point that out.
You're correct on PVE, you cannot loot PMC bodies. It still despawns on 2nd death. You can also examine/heal other factions. Been doing PvE while I learn the game and not worry about my friendly faction members in the starter zone killing me lol. I love the helos, sounds and the atmosphere they added, but helo sound needs to be turned down if you have a headset.
Best tip I’ve seen so far is to AVOID quest guides and try to figure everything out from in-game. Honestly the content in the game so far is really fun exploring for myself.
I would like a sandbox like how arma 3 is but with advanced graphics and EFT like gameplay. Plus forest like environments, this seems to kinda check mark those boxes lightly. If we get night with night vision and thermals this might be what I’m looking for, lightly.
I have a 2060ti and my game crashed about 10 times out of 8hrs of gameplay until my son played with a dev and he gave me settings that fixed my crashes and it wasn't fsr it was dlss. I played 10hrs so far and haven't crashed once and my game runs great.

I'd try everything on medium first with FSR with frame gen and see how you do. Your system should easily post over 100fps I think, and frame gen should only be a benefit to you! It gets a bit problematic at lower frame rates for input lag but I think yours will be fine. Can increase settings if everything seems OK :)
I signed in yesterday and all my character gear dissapeared that I had on me, including secure container! Had to wipe my character, so be aware of this too!
I've been having a BLAST got a few giurs in after work running solo and bringing keys to swuads in locations. Game runs pretty good in my 12gb 3080 + 13th grn intel
I run FSR with low graphics, game still looks amazing and I get 90-105 fps running ryzen 7 pro 2700x, 1080ti red dragon graphics card, 32gig of ddr4 ram. Game runs real smooth for me
Have a friend that got the game but wants to switch to my faction. How can he do it? He only has done one task but when he goes to wipe character cuase it says he hasn't played enough yet but he says he has 4.5 hours into the game. Any ideas how to switch?
i would really like to use the acog on the carry handle like i usually do in tarkov but the acog is sooooo performance sucking and it kinda feels like it has a lower framerate inside

Using fsr with frame gen will lead to memory leaks and blue screening. Use dlss. The fake frames from frame gen ans blurryness of fsr + crashes aint worth it
It's just sad that I'm forced to play alone due to my friends not wanting to bother with the performance/connection issues and crashes. Which means there's no real way for me to do anything about getting KO'd or killed by NPCs, and often I can't get my stuff back
I'd love to see an update for the ear pro. Have them work so that they have a dB level. Say the earpro has a 75db level, any noises above that level will be reduced to 75db, but a sound that is only 50db remains the same . Similar to how tarkov works but simplified

i would recommend to never use any ak´s in that state of the game. even a full modded ak (no matter which one) cant hit shit at distance, moe is way to high. if it should be like that, m4´s need to be way harder to get but somehow at gunny level 2 u have already access to pretty much end game m4´s which are a lasers with very low ttk (with atleast m855 or m856).
go somewhere with friendlies and loot dead ai. go to midnight sapphire and or forth narith and farm enemies for high tier gear. back yards of large villas have high tier weapon spawns
You can build a silenced AKMN with Artisan pretty easily. ACOG doesn't fit on it, haven't tried the Elcan yet, but it fits an EOTECH Holo. PBS is a cheap silencer compared to the Surefire for the M4 from Gunny level 2. Not a bad mid-level gun for doing town missions.
Try changing servers. The micro rubber banding is usually server related - sometimes it's great but especially at peak times it gets quite bad currently due to overload

FSR seems to crash my game more than DLSS for some strange reason... Also getting better performance with DLSS on a 30 series card... but then again my PC seems to hate UE5 lol
Regular headphones just make ZERO sense in this game. Being able to hear small details is CRUCIAL to not being surprised. Maybe they will be more useful down the road for some other reason. The Active Headphones (Gssh-01) are the only ones I would ever put on when leaving base. They actually make the game a bit louder and sounds like distant gunfire and voices are clearer, from longer range. They have helped. Muffling the sound though; I see nothing but a disadvantage to that.
@@nocturnalnun They might work that way in real life, but not in game, actually. In game, distant gunfire is MUCH more loud. You can pop them on and off and hear the difference, clearly. Like many things in game, it might need some work.

The yellow construction earmuffs the npcs drop greatly reduce noise. However, it also mutes footsteps and makes it harder to hear VOIP comms.

R-Key, flips items around from horizontal to Vertical in your inventory.
What the game needs is more helis and more servers that prioritise empty or half full servers rather than full ones
I played it for the first time last night, and I had a blast gonna stream it for the first time tonight but man it's fun.
You can also tap m and hold m for tac map vs large map
keybind I and M to your thumb mouse buttons if you have them, helps with opening and closing fast

Me personally. I only bring one primary. Any guns i pick up get sold. The mk18 is decent enough to do the job. Page up and down will help as well.

From what I’ve seen this game looks a lot more akin to dayz and rust, with a few escape from tarkov features
Theres a set of Ear Pro that reduces helio noise but doesnt muffle combat noise

tarkov should add the pve/pvp cross progression to keep that skill gap and progression gap more achievable imo

Have a buddy with a performant pc (7800X3D + 4080) and he can barely finish a "round" as his game crashes about every 20-30mins.
It's not just performance, the de sync and ai are very poor at the moment.
Yeah that's fair, hopefully they can get it up to scratch quickly. They seem to be quite fast at developing this thing
The game looks super promising, I always wanted to try Tarkov but everyone who played it always told me it is not worth it - this looks like a nice alternative once performance is improved

Using fsr with frame gen will lead to memory leaks and blue screening. Use dlss. The fake frames from frame gen ans blurryness of fsr + crashes aint worth it

It's just sad that I'm forced to play alone due to my friends not wanting to bother with the performance/connection issues and crashes. Which means there's no real way for me to do anything about getting KO'd or killed by NPCs, and often I can't get my stuff back
FSR doesnt work on my 3070ti I crash every single time. DLSS or TSR do the trick but I get more frames with DLSS
Turn off any fps limiters, was crashing my 7900xtx until I turned it off.
I'd love to see an update for the ear pro. Have them work so that they have a dB level. Say the earpro has a 75db level, any noises above that level will be reduced to 75db, but a sound that is only 50db remains the same . Similar to how tarkov works but simplified
The PVE mode has been so much more enjoyable while the PVP has been really toxic with team killing without consequence.

i would recommend to never use any ak´s in that state of the game. even a full modded ak (no matter which one) cant hit shit at distance, moe is way to high. if it should be like that, m4´s need to be way harder to get but somehow at gunny level 2 u have already access to pretty much end game m4´s which are a lasers with very low ttk (with atleast m855 or m856).
What happens if you run out of gear and only have a knife?
go somewhere with friendlies and loot dead ai. go to midnight sapphire and or forth narith and farm enemies for high tier gear. back yards of large villas have high tier weapon spawns
They should let us reconfigure keybinds, i want my inventory to always be opened instead of the last thing i was looking at when i press tab

You can build a silenced AKMN with Artisan pretty easily. ACOG doesn't fit on it, haven't tried the Elcan yet, but it fits an EOTECH Holo. PBS is a cheap silencer compared to the Surefire for the M4 from Gunny level 2. Not a bad mid-level gun for doing town missions.
I think you can do the ACOG if you use the mount first onto the rail?

Try changing servers. The micro rubber banding is usually server related - sometimes it's great but especially at peak times it gets quite bad currently due to overload

FSR seems to crash my game more than DLSS for some strange reason... Also getting better performance with DLSS on a 30 series card... but then again my PC seems to hate UE5 lol
The frame generation makes fake frames and caused a ton of artifacts and made the game feel terrible even with the extra frames
Or just run the acog on the carry handle as intended then take it off for cqb 😂

make sure u are in 1080p with fsr on. also buy a new cpu, they are cheap af in terms of price/performance
Regular headphones just make ZERO sense in this game. Being able to hear small details is CRUCIAL to not being surprised. Maybe they will be more useful down the road for some other reason.
The Active Headphones (Gssh-01) are the only ones I would ever put on when leaving base. They actually make the game a bit louder and sounds like distant gunfire and voices are clearer, from longer range.
They have helped. Muffling the sound though; I see nothing but a disadvantage to that.
They work in game as they do in real life. Amplifying quiet, distant noises and suppressing loud, close proximity noises.

In game, distant gunfire is MUCH more loud. You can pop them on and off and hear the difference, clearly. Like many things in game, it might need some work.

I have 1070 with i5 9k smth 48gb ram. Getting 30-40 FPS with TSR 70% which is amazing consider my specs are from ages ago
