Ko Woorim, the bass is actually a basso profundo and as a fully trained opera singer with bachelor and masters degrees just like their highly skilled leader, Cho MinGyu, the 2nd voice and gorgeous leggiero tenor you heard , so the lower notes don’t need much effort because he can easily go much lower. The tenor soprano, Kang Hyungho, the 3rd voice you heard, a chemical engineer with no formal music training but is self-trained with such a versatile voice with a huge range. He is a rock singer since University days with a solo identity for his rock singing as PITTA alongside Forestella commitments. The final voice belongs to a bachelor of music ..musical theatre graduate Bae Doohoon, who is classified as baritone-tenor, but is very versatile vocally. Like you say…a match made in heaven! 😊❤I highly recommend you find out more, because as a vocal coach you will find it infinitely fascinating…they are not your ordinary group or even ordinary individual performers. Their musical tastes are eclectic and not what you would expect. That is the magic of Forestella, the eclectic mix of voices and musical tastes and combined music experience. The first thing to understand is that FORESTELLA refuse to be categorised into one genre….across their discography and videography you will see that they are multi-genre and multi-lingual performers. They have excelled at rock, pop, folk, traditional Korean,K-pop, rockopera, popera, musical theatre, classical, trot, jazz, tango, ballad, etc and have so far sung in French, Italian, English, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Latin, a few lines of Zulu and German . It is because they are adventurous, daring and even experimental at times and can often surprise you with the unexpected. They each have a thirst for exploring their music tastes and producing covers and originals with their stamp on it. I hope this info is helpful to get you started. I’m sure many others here will fill you in, but please keep reacting and asking questions…I’m a year along from first finding them going down the rabbit hole, so I myself am still learning about them in this 7th year of their formation and 6th year since debut. Oh..lastly..Forestella was born in 2017 on a South Korean tv show by JTBC : PHANTOM SINGER 2 which was looking to form crossover quartets from classically qualified entrants from around the world , but also amateurs were encouraged so Kang was able to enter. It’s a survival type show and eventually the 4 ended up together and won the season. There is a UA-cam fan created series FORESTORY which summarises their initial journey but has sufficient content to give you an insight to their start..worthwhile reacting to …as others have done.

I've been a Forestella fan from the very beginning and I'm glad you like them. They are simply phenomenal, extraordinary and very talented and together they sound amazing. It is also worth seeing "Warriors", "Moonlight", "Save Our Lives" and "Angel"

Ko Woorim is my favorite as well but the other guy with the top high voice is my second favorite as well! Somehow that deep tone just has me melting! But their harmonies are one of the best out there. I am not a k-pop fan but these four are something else!!!

Butter voice guy is Ko Woorim. He is easily my favourite voice ever, even his speaking voice is delicious. And yes, when he opens his mouth properly he makes amazing sound as he is a trained opera singer 🤩 Please react to more Forestella

And, Ko WooRim (Basso Profundo) scores again.😂 What is so good about Forestella is that they all get a chance to shine on different performances. Their Bohemian Rhapsody is how Freddie saw it in his head. 😍(I've been a fan of Queen since BEFORE they were famous). Throw a dart at a list of their performances, and you'll get a great one. But for me.. "Je suis malade", c'est magnifique. mais aussi 😭😭😭 Demis Roussos .... havent seen his name in ages.
There is a fascinating performance by Hua Chenyu on Singer 2020. He signed up last minute, flew to studio and appeared just before the show. Quick run-through, and no time to change out of his travel clothes or do make up. Straight on, and 🔥🔥🔥🔥 "Jackdaw Boy". He, and the lighting Engineer deserve kudos for the ad Lib light play. If you React... Watch to end. There are multiple false ends. But a lesson in performing with almost no preparation. No English subs

Hyungho - Rock Countertenor (zero training until he joined the group)
Mingyu - Leader and Classically trained Leggiero Tenor (he and Woorim went to the same school)
Doohoon - Musical Theater Actor, Baritenor
They were competitors on a survival elimination show called "Phantom Singer" whose goal was to create a crossover vocal quartet like II Divo. They compete 1 v. 1, then the survivors move on to duos, then trios... and finally the Quartet. Mingyu won every round and that gave him the chance to recruit the others. They are lightning in a bottle. The show has turned out several great quartets, but none have the widespread appeal of Forestella.
They continue to enter competitions (this is from Immortal Songs where they have won a record breaking 6 consecutive times), put out albums and even toured N. America last year. They intend to keep performing, but they are a man down until 2025 as their Bass, Woorim, completes his Mandatory Military service.
Outstanding live performances to check out, Lazenca, Save Us, Legends Never Die, Hijo de la Luna, Bohemian Rhapsody, Time in a Bottle, Ju Suis Malade, Gondre Mandre (Dead Drunk), Inner Universe, and Despacito. For an extra treat, check out Kang Hyungho's "Phantom of the Opera" audition (he sings both The Phantom and Christine's parts), or Cho Mingyu's "Balada de la Trompeta".

Woorim - deep buttery voice. The youngest. Classically trained. Married Olympic ice skater late 2022. Joined 16 month mandatory military in SK late 2023. Sadly no more new stuff from the group until 2025. He held a solo concert: 2023 Black. Sings classics like Autumn Leaves.
HyungHo - our tenor to soprano. Has a rock band Pitta. Was a chemist who almost gave up having a musical career. He's a bit of a mad genius.
Mingyu - Tenor with the other bit of lovely "twang". Leader of the group. I think you said he was quiet. Yes and no. Shy around new people, a tiger when it comes to music and performances.
DooHoon - you didn't hear a lot of him in this one. Baritone into tenor. Eldest. Musical theater background. Helps them with staging and acting. Married musical theater actress 2023. Currently in SK "Rent"

yes. Rock vocalist pitta is a crazy genius. I'll add some information about that.
He can sing from extremely low to extremely high notes, and his singing style is also diverse and wide, always surprising me. (He sang both male and female parts in ‘Phantom of the Opera’) In addition, he is good at writing lyrics, composing, arranging, and producing, and is in charge of directing vocals and producing in Forestella, showing his genius musical talent. He has now composed an original song for Forestala and will continue to present good songs.
He is also working as a singer-songwriter for the rock band pitta and is steadily growing musically.

Great to see you reacting to Forestella again, it’s been too long. I think you would have much to break down in Champions (Seoul Festa version), Warriors and Legends Never Die. They are much more static in these three and so it’s easier to peg their individual voices. They generally line up in the same order which I suspect many have already listed. Your reactions are informative for which many thanks.

the one with the crisp clean boyish sounding voice is also an opera singer. i would consider him the most technically proficient voice. i think you caught on to that.

Ko Woo-rim, on the far left, is the classically trained basso profundo.
The man next to him, with the really high voice, is Kang Hyung-ho, a natural countertenor, and a songwriter.
The one to his left, Cho Mingyu, is a classically trained leggiero tenor. He sang in opera for 3 or 4 years, and then someone told him that his voice type would never land him lead roles, so he left the operatic world---lucky us!
The man on the far right, Bae Doo-hoon, came out of musical theater, with that beautiful, strong tenor voice.
The basso, Ko Woo-rim, went into the army in late November, 2023, to fulfill his mandatory military service.

Hi!! Forestella is not a boy band. They are a crossover group. As Il Divo or Il Volo... They can sing any kind of musical genre. In a lot of languages. Give them another opportunity, listening another song, to see if you change your opinion.
