Y've indeed missed the best crossover vocal group ever. FORESTELLA are considered "kings of harmonies". They cover top songs of all genres in different styles, adding their own flavors, making each song their own, always respecting the original. They just turned "Bad Romance" upside down with their new version, which is going viral. Each voice is unique on its own, but when they create these incredible harmonies together, stunning! Technically highly qualified, they are able to produce (always live!) the most incredible sounds. 4 singers can sound like 40. Don't miss out on this musical delight and continue to react.

This is Forestella, a crossover group from Korea. They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; an audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world!
Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Hijo de la Luna, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. Shape of You in English, Spanish and African Zulu is fantastic indeed.
You can even see them dancing singing Smooth Criminal as well! And they broke the record of their own with Bad Romance which seems toxic version of their Lazenca Save Us, winning 5 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs.
Forestella is a quartet consisted of Ko WooRim (classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (ex-research chemist, rock vocalist with soprano falsetto voice), Cho MinGyu (classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (musical actor, 159th King of the Masked Singers, emotion convincer good at R&B, Pop). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. They meet almost everyday to practice together. In a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in the year. Recently Bae DooHoon also said they don't meet 1~2 days in a month. I think this explains how their perfection can be executed.

I'm glad you enjoyed their cover of this beautiful song. Forestella is one of my latest discoveries. Each of the members has a great voice, but their harmony when they sing together is outstanding.
Their group name is a mixture of "forest" and the Latin/Italian word "stella", which means star. So Forestella means a forest of stars.
Their names from left to right in this video: Ko Woorim (classically trained bass), Kang Hyungho (countertenor and rock voice, no formal vocal training), Cho Mingyu (classically trained tenor and leader of the group), Bae Doohoon (tenor, musical actor).
I hope to see more reactions to them on your channel. You can't go wrong with any of their performances. Some recommendations: Hijo de la luna, Je suis malade, Spread Silk on my heart, Inner universe, Time in a bottle, Nella Fantasia and of course their own beautiful song "Save our Lives" (the music video is a cinematic masterpiece).

The good thing is they tend to stay in that order for most performances. Makes it much easier for new fans to remember who is whom. And probably has something to do with letting THEM bounce off the right vocal tone which gives them their amazing harmonies (and the huge amount of hours they put in to get them right). They are the very definitiin of "practice makes perfect".

You should check out their version of "Time In A Bottle". It's amazing!!!! Some background. The Bass and the first singer were opera singers. The guy with the high voice had a rock band and the last gut was a musical actor.

I'm even later to the game - I discovered them August 2023. First time reactors are universal when they first hear them, which is very similar to how I reacted. I regret I didn't know who they were when they toured here in the USA early 2023. I'm so grateful they wiggled their way into my algorithm. And how is it that all you folk I subscribe to have been reacting to them for months and are just now showing up for me?!? It will be interesting to see how many more reactions you have of them. While not as bountiful as BTS, they now have almost 6 years of concerts, covers, original songs, and even an OST.

I’m a big fan of forestella. Bass (Ko Woo Rim) and leggiero tenor (Cho Min Gyu) are classically trained as opera singers in the top music college in South Korea :) They’ve been even semifinalists or competitors in well known competetions like Montreal, Touloise. The Tenor-soprano (Kang Hyung Ho) used to be an amateur rock band singer working as a researcher in a chemistry company 😂. The pop vocal singer is Bae Doo Hoon. He’s trained as a musical actor/singer also in a topclass college in South Korea. They said they meet more than 300 days per year for practice& balanced harmony and more. ❤ They always try to make beautiful music being worthy of their name Forestella(Forest+Stella, i.e. star). This year, relaeasing new album, they introduced themselves as emboys of God in the album concept, soul of four elements, earth(bass), fire(tenor-soprano), air(tenor), water (pop vocal) as u guessed :)

About this performance, the part that blows my mind the most is the very end, especially because of the bass' deep low note. It's so low that I was convinced it was simply an instrument until I watched a close fancam of them singing this song at a festival. This team's bass is a basso profundo and it always amazes me to realize how deep he can go.
