rampleOS 1.40 is out ! 🚀
This new firmware includes bug fixes, better performances and add new features:
- CV inputs volt/octave (play samples as chromatic notes)
- midi keyboard split + polyphony, turns your Rample in a polyphonic 4-voice synth!
- improved Freeze effect
- new vu-meters
We will detail all the CC modulation in a next video 😚

I totally just rampled.
This is great! I currently have a Pyramid and am considering buying a Rample (I'm already deep into the world of Eurorack). I already have a 1-shot sample player, so am mostly interested in using Rample for loops. I want to make sure I understand what is happening here from 0:27-0:40. It looks something is telling Rample which sample and slice to play in real time. I assume this is the Pyramid via MIDI CC. This is exactly what I want to do, so I'm hoping someone can confirm before I pull the trigger on buying the Rample. Thanks!
from what i understand its using the layer function, so one channel has multiple samples that it can change between, and there are a few difrent modes (manual, random, cyclic, r cyclic, velocity), so with manual mode u can use the cv in (and probably cc with midi) to change between the samples, pretty sure thats what happening here. check the manual for a clearer explanation hah.
So..would it be able to slice up any sample into say into 16 slices, or a perhaps a custom amount and stores that into memory?
I know the firmware is up to v1.50 now, but I’m curious if this also enabled polyphony via the 4 CV inputs as well (rather than just via midi)? Thx!
awesome, but i have an issue. i load my own kit, and despite all files are correct size nothing ever triggers on gate 3... any ideas ? thanks
