I been saying, we're living in the worst Cyberpunk timeline. So I need some UBI, UHC, and some caps on corporate greed. OR I need someone to come out with fully working cyber arms like yesterday. We also need a lot more neon. Cause right now we've got all the bad without any of the cool stuff that's in Cyberpunk.
Sorry I missed history class where there was at least three corporate wars, and the US going through an economic collapse in the 1990’s. In the CyberPunk timeline the government (and the US citizens) had a LOT less control over corporations in the 20th century, let alone the 21th! In fact the US government ceased to exist at the turn of the 21th century. The separation point between our timelines is in the later 1800’s (no safe guards against monopolies, worker mistreatment, unions accepted etc).

I just finally bought it a few months ago and finally beat it (I don't get much time to play games these days). That was such a great game. Great voice acting, great graphics, great story, good music (better with mods), and so forth. Looking forward to Orion in 50 or 70 years when Half Life 2 comes out.
RDR2 and Cyberpunk 2077 are two games where I'd boot up late at night, just to sit back relax and just roam around in the world and just soak everything in. The atmosphere and immersion is just unmatched. Midgar in FFVII Remake too, I can't remember which chapter, it was when Cloud snuck out of Aerith's house in the middle of the night. I'd just spend my time just listening to the music, the sound of the wind and sometimes the sound of steel grinding against each other while looking up at the bottom of the plate. The Midgar slums at night is somehow calming to me.
O my goodness! That’s brilliant! I actually never thought of just turning on the game just to soak up it’s atmosphere. I listen to soundtracks while painting but never thought to have the actual game on. Thanks for this great insight!
My favorite thing is using mods to make it rainy at night, put on the in-game radio and just drive around Night City. It just hits different at like 3 AM.
The reason this game is so good, imho, is because it's a "product" constructed and created by all of us, we were playing the pen and paper Cyberpunk 2020 and D&D long before advanced computer games came along, this game is simply a product of lore and culture that we have been nurturing for decades and decades:) Happy to have found your channel, new sub:) All the best bro:)
I never fast travel in cyberpunk. I like to disable the minimap in the corner from the hud as well. That way I have to open the map, guess more or less where I need to go, which bridges to cross, etc. Then I close the map, look at the buildings and try to guess the direction from memory. We get lost a lot. The city is very big with lots of incorrect turns we can take. But it is so satisfying when we start to get to know it. We start paying attention to the restaurants and parks, etc. Feels very good.
It's wild. The most controversial game ended up being in my top 10...before the Phantom Liberty update. And after? My favorite game & franchise of all time. 🙏🏿

It's a dark reflection of our reality. It's true too. The only thing I can say is vastly different, is there are more people in the Cyberpunk Universe that actually actively fight Corpos, but that's just part of the dark element to the universe right? But like, cops being nothing more than Corporate Thugs is 100% true right now.

I too am obsessed with visuals in games. I built a rig that could easily accommodate a 4090 GPU for the sole purpose to display Cyberpunk the way it was meant to be viewed. I am so happy the developers did not fall short of their vision to appease the broader market without the hardware to display the future. And this game, like the title reads, is a window into the future. Corporations already rule the world. Just a matter of time before they're open about it. We are also in the birthing stages of all the technology we see in Cyberpunk.

I sincerely hope this is the future because I’m tired of having poor vision, needing to wear glasses, dealing with liver issues, and being overweight. I wouldn’t mind having almost everything artificial and keeping just the essentials-like the brain-to remain human, after all. We could eliminate so much suffering. With this, there would be far fewer diseases. We could live much longer in good health and accomplish more than a normal human could.
Lol, no, you don't get it. You'd still have poor vision, a bad liver, weight issues (worsened by even lower quality food) and a meat body. But a rich guy could fix all of those problems if he had them! You really don't want this.
I really enjoyed your take on Cyberpunk. I haven't finished it and it was on it's way to being back burnered but I think you have made me want to play it again. I just wish it had good reflections without ray tracing on as it make my frames tank. I will fiddle with it again such that it is frame rate enjoyable again with as much eye candy as I can get. I also think with a game like this is where a console shines versus my laptop with a rtx2060.
That's because you are free from the mundanity and real consequences when you play a game. If you actually had to wake up in that world everyday, you wouldn't be too happy.
@Mal_Freeman0451 no i absolutely meant what i said. I hate this world and almost everything in it. Dont try and tell me how i think and feel or should. For you maybe it was just a game, for me it was a window into a world i desperately want to be apart of.

I went through a similar experience where in my first Ps4 playthrough, (before 2.0 but after significant bug fixes) I was more into the story and what was happening, but i saw the crazy worldbuilding because I read all the shards littered around everywhere. My second playthrough on Ps5 I really put myself in the position of V and played as if it was my life, which really makes the game more fun. I love the wackyness and the crazy amount of hard hitting topics the game touches on, similar to the Witcher games but it's closer to our time which makes it hit harder. I think CDPR has learned alot from the reception of the state the game was in @ launch but unfortunately they're a company like all the rest, and the goal is to make money. If they think releasing a half baked game in prime holiday sales time is the best money move, that's what they'll do. Because the fans didn't rush the game out, it was really the investors, shareholders. It's very ironic to me that the ultimate flaw of this game is caused by the beast it's criticizing. It just isn't complete to the extent it could've been. "Capitalist greed prevents anti-corpo masterpiece from being anti-corpo masterpiece" - I can almost hear johnny saying it now. Hopefully you understand what I mean, this game is probably my favorite ever made, but it falls just short of its true potential. Anyways, awesome video man, I could say more but I've already written an essay here, I just don't see many people geek out about the small detes like me.
Great analysis, only other negative I would add is instead of a montage we could’ve had more story missions at the beginning building up to the first heist and our relationship with Jackie. Other than that only other complaints are minor things like not being able to change your vehicle colors for most cars and bikes & no new game plus other than that this my favorite game I’ve ever played it had me fully immersed in the story and the city & phantom liberty DLC just took it to another level. I’m glad I waited till this year to play the 2.1 patch so I could experience what the developers intended and I hate the fact the launch was so awful for this game that ppl who would’ve given it a chance haven’t or gave up on it. Can’t wait for sequel 🙏
@@NoonyJW The Jackie montage was so lame. He is actually one of my favorite characters in the whole game. I wanted to experience our time in the streets instead of watching flashes of it. I always wanted them to patch in that “time skip” as a playable segment. They shouldn’t have treated the homie that way. It’s sad really. Love your take!
driving in cyberpunk is so good, from a simulation/arcade racing standpoint. cars with high hp oversteer from the rear like irl, weight transfer feels natural and realistic too, brakes lock if you push them too far, feels like a merge between forza horizon and midnight club, i wish you could do more races triugh night city, is hella fun
Mike Pondsmith created this vast world, starting way back in the 80's with cyberpunk 2013. One of the books even has the stats for Johnny, Rogue and Alt. A later book for the 2020 RPG even has the stats for Adam Smasher. For the PC game, as I understand, they also hired city designers to help plot out the layout. For IRL, well corps are greedy already, we really just need to have some cybernetics and lots neon.
It’s good because it’s not “the jetsons future” nore is it “the everyone’s dead” future It’s just literally where America is most likely to head as a society
All they had to do was delay the release the first time they should have known it wasn't ready...but now it's one of the best games I ever played in my top 10 and I'm on series s playing on quality mode no issues at.
I haven't even watched the video and I'm already agreeing with everything he said about cyberpunk being our future or something close to something like it
I had a great 1st experience on Stadia. Decided to pick it up again last week to experience the updates and the expansion. In my opinion, this has been the best game for immersion, choice and consequences.
Disappearing Prophet Garys' sidekick is not a bug. One of the conspiracy theories that he says is about how people are being controlled with the Kiroshi eye implants, and this was an example of how they can just erase someone from your vision.
i had the exact same bug with the races, and you know what i thought? i thought "no cover, spray em with led" and so i did, and so i had 1 less oponent
21:17 is a baked in "bug". It's supposed to happen which is kind of funny in the context of whats going on. I have a feeling it was a "happy accident" because everyone knows about it and they never removed it but it ties into the conspiracy so well its so weird lol
also seems like console has far more bugs these days than on PC. I revisited this game and put hundreds of hours into it stumbling into very few bugs on PC so yeah if you can play it on PC, play it on PC lol
Currently on my first play through and I’m having a blast! Driving was definitely tough at first, especially with NPCS lunging into the road if you go anywhere near the sidewalk 😂
Best part of the Cyberpunk universe is that all the mega corps are at least upfront about how evil they are and how mu h they control: Allfoods: Controls the food Biotechnica: Bio Tech(drugs) Militech: Military Tech Arasaka: Japanese conglomerate Petrochem: Fuel Where in our reality we got GE making A-10 miniguns and washer/dryers in the same factory 🤣
Night City looks a lot like Rio de Janeiro, my city. criminal barricades everywhere, extreme poverty side by side with extreme wealth, dirt everywhere, guns everywhere especially in the poor areas, small and big crime everywhere. I spend a couple of hours in Night City every night. Just like walking around my city without the risks...
Night City does feel like it could be in our lifetime, but something that pushed me over the edge for seeing how it could come to fruition was when I watched Mr. Robot. Without describing too much the series does follow the cyberpunk trends. It doesn't have chrome or massive AI like Cyberpunk, but it follows enough where if those events were to actually happen we would end up closer to the vision of 2077. And I think that's what I find scary. It's hard to think what the world will be like in a century, but if you take it at 10 year chunks and look back through history you can see the trajectory.
Ayyyeee Jahbu! I used to watch you years ago, back when Breath of the Wild came out. I always enjoyed your vibe and sense of humor. Glad to see you doing this again!
First time viewer. Beautiful art on the left. The commentary made me realize that its fully possible to have a Cyberpunk style city coexist within a Borderlands style planet. Especially with both games having a wasteland and multiple mega corporations.
Damn so I wasn’t the only person who’s been saying this since the game came out. Corporations have an uncanny amount of power and society is growing more desensitized to violence and the important things going around them. Everything is driven by MONEY and POWER, even our governments! And with the rapid growth of technology and talk of nanochips and the like 👀 Cyberpunk isn’t too far off from the future I feel we’re in for.
I played cyberpunk 2077 for the first time last month and finished it after 120 hrs. Played it with all the updates and Phantom liberty DLC and it was so damn good
I just started playing this for the first time. I got it and all the DLC for like $40. I am loving it and this reminds me why I don't buy games pre or on release. I refuse to pay to beta test games. Hopefully, STALKER 2 will be ready in a year or two.
@@omegadroidzero Honestly that’s the best move. You will definitely save yourself from “launch day” misery. I tend to fall prey to the allure of “day one” purchases lol.
I just want single player games in general to have replayable activities, where you can just jump in and do something specific you want. Racing is only part of a specific side mission, as well as the street fighting. They end when you do the last ones. There's also the taxi driving thing. It would be cool to have the NCPD calls to have a quick mission or have recycleable missions from the fixers. This is something I want to be looked into by games like Warframe and Helldivers 2, activities you can just do to be busy.
I just wish that when our society becomes an actual cyberpunk dystopia, there'd be a lot of cool neon lights like in Night City, so we can all suffer but at least in a cool way.
Subbed. Good stuff, man. Love the artist's perspective. Especially with a philosophical bent. Keep up the good work. You're going places! Have you ever thought about textiles? Textiles are the future! 😂
CDPR actually just released an update yesterday that added cool new features, including more customization of some cars and more Photo mode features :D
Great video! I'm doing a nre playthrough now and it's such a fascinating world to play in. Dark AF but I think that grit a part of the world. Life is cheap, tech is king. But the city is amazing and I can't get sick of exploring it.
Bonus points for saying relic in the cyberpunk video. It's amazing the new fixes and phantom liberty is amazing. I wish v didn't talk so they could do fallout style dialogue
Playing dress up is absolutely one of my favorite aspects of cpunk2077. My V would have a street punk look, a cowgirl look, a corpo look, a slutty/clubbing look, and a ‘Bladerunner’ look (I’d dress her up as Deckard, Rachel, or Pris)
so gald i just ran into your channel when i just baught the game on sale n i have to say m loving the game and your content. You have South african name but you got an american vibe to you just as confusing as the smart weapons
1st. Great video! You're authentic and your production is top shelf. Followed for more. 2nd. Cp2077 is as good as a game gets. It's one of those watershed moments (like RDR2) where all these facets of gaming culminated in a piece of work. Like the industry had been pushing toward something and it achieved it. Albeit a messy venture at the beginning, playing CP2077 in 2024 is an amazing experience. Theres aspects id love to see improvements on ofcourse... melee is eh, and I'd love better NPC interaction for example. But hey, all stepping stones. Great job again, best of luck.
@@dragoonseye76 My bad man. I think I could have explained this better. So the game is solid but still has the occasional visual bug. It’s truly an amazing experience.
I do enjoy this game, one of my favorites of the decade. It was rough, it still doesn't have as much interaction as I expected/hoped like in GTA for example. They did add much of it and I can't complain when the best city in video gaming is right there. Liked the video, your edit are 🔥
I agree that cyberpunk 2077 just isnt given enough of a chance, especially by black gamers. Ive always luved the game and i think its incredibly ahead of its time. The collective design of the game is impressive indeed. Amazing. I cant wait 4 the next installment. U get a subscription from me bro.

I've beaten it 14 times, so I'm good. It's alright.
better than life IRL 🥲
It was beautiful
Choppy at first lol.
My UI in Cyberpunk 2077 is pink, purple and blue, just sayin', you can change the UI color, if you're playing on computer. Love your takes choom.
Thank you so much for pointing this out. I played it on the PS5. I hope I didn’t miss that UI setting after playing the game for so long lol.
It’s good because it’s not “the jetsons future” nore is it “the everyone’s dead” future
It’s just literally where America is most likely to head as a society
All they had to do was delay the release the first time they should have known it wasn't ready...but now it's one of the best games I ever played in my top 10 and I'm on series s playing on quality mode no issues at.
So happy I came across your channel! Love the style and visuals in your presentation
I haven't even watched the video and I'm already agreeing with everything he said about cyberpunk being our future or something close to something like it
I actually love your style of reviewing. For once we get a review which isnt a 2 hour video essay. Nvr change 👍
@@liiltantrum Aw man. I really appreciate that. Thanks a ton!
Funny. I saw the thumbnail and title, clicked in for the video essay. Realized I wasn't getting one 3 minutes in and bounced
Came here for cyberpunk...got hooked to the drawing...
@@ericw2442 Aw man. I am so conflicted having it there. I thought it would be a distraction. Thanks for the vote of confidence!
@@JahbuWhole editing is epic, objektively...
Keep em coming my guy!
God bless!
i had the exact same bug with the races, and you know what i thought? i thought "no cover, spray em with led" and so i did, and so i had 1 less oponent
@@scottybiscottis LOL! Good luck my G. NPCS are the worse drivers lol. Glad your having fun!
why are you driving in the road instead of the sidewalk where most people drive?
Wow I totally thought this was a channel with at least 100K subs. Your production is phenomenal. Instant subbed
Aw man. Thank you for this amazing comment. I have more on the way.
Best part of the Cyberpunk universe is that all the mega corps are at least upfront about how evil they are and how mu h they control:
Allfoods: Controls the food
Biotechnica: Bio Tech(drugs)
Militech: Military Tech
Arasaka: Japanese conglomerate
Petrochem: Fuel
Where in our reality we got GE making A-10 miniguns and washer/dryers in the same factory 🤣
I don’t think creator of the cyberpunk universe Mike Pondsmith was lying when he said this is undoubtedly the dark future.
i love your personality and your exuberance! just subscribed☺️👍
we need more of these, production is good as hell
As an owner of Mansa, glad to see you online brotha!
Yo! Thank you for supporting my work. It is truly an honor. One Love!
Just discovered your channel, love your style!
The black and white filter is a cool visual style and rather unique.
Ayyyeee Jahbu! I used to watch you years ago, back when Breath of the Wild came out. I always enjoyed your vibe and sense of humor. Glad to see you doing this again!
Aw man! Thanks for finding me again. It’s been too long. We gonna have a lot of good time on this channel. Welcome back ma bredren!
First time viewer. Beautiful art on the left. The commentary made me realize that its fully possible to have a Cyberpunk style city coexist within a Borderlands style planet. Especially with both games having a wasteland and multiple mega corporations.
I just want to say, I love your Layout! Cyberpunk is a video game that just become an extension of myself
Love the hair man!
Played it with all the updates and Phantom liberty DLC and it was so damn good
We’re not in 2077 yet, I don’t see no mercenaries, borderline chromed up people, Cyborgs, or open carrying of guns……but message wise, yeah!!!
Never mind I see the title
Perfect editing, informative review. There is still an interesting gimmick between serious assessment and fun. Liked and subscribed.
22:14 LMFAO MERMAID MAN AND BARNACLE BOY AT IT AGAIN 💀
It's a dark reflection of our current world. And the story, it's delicious melancholy. For me it's the vehicles bro, oh my god they are sexy.
This is something I want to be looked into by games like Warframe and Helldivers 2, activities you can just do to be busy.
youre second playthrough homie looked like a madman! very cool haha I loved the game myself aswell! nice video!
I may not be around a couple hundred years from now, but I feel as though I’ve experienced the next best thing
I just wish that when our society becomes an actual cyberpunk dystopia, there'd be a lot of cool neon lights like in Night City, so we can all suffer but at least in a cool way.
super cool background!
Subbed. Good stuff, man. Love the artist's perspective. Especially with a philosophical bent. Keep up the good work. You're going places! Have you ever thought about textiles? Textiles are the future! 😂
So glad I waited for all the updates and phantom liberty came out before playing this game. It has been one of my favorite games ever.

@@SGredblitz Yo! That’s amazing. They added Balatro cards just because. CDPR for the win!

I wish v didn't talk so they could do fallout style dialogue
bro you're right on point with the analysis here. look what happens in 2025 in cyberpunk RED
It's crazy cuz I've had more crashes with cyberpunk recently then I did with it at start.
The whole time I was playing 2077 I felt like I was seeing the most likely future for our species. Minus some of the cool tech shit.
I play in the psvr headset with the attached headphones.... definitely my favorite rpg of all time

Been saying this ever since the game dropped. People don't hear me tho.
Time to party like it’s 2023
I had next to zero issues in my 500+ hours. The occasional crash but nothing like you are describing
