Hi Ethan! That alarm on the door is actually that. It is to let someone know that the door has been opened. Must be a very elderly person lived there. I have these same alarms because of my autistic daughter. Have a great evening!🧡🏘🏡
I think you're right. I'm guessing the person was living with family or a caretaker. I like seeing older people be able to stay at home as long as they can.
Yes love those 60’s houses especially the split level houses. Such peaceful space I hate to see replaced by industrial blight. I love to imagine what is was like in its day. I’m sure when it was built those owners could never have imagined it being torn down for ugly warehouses. I bet the basement was cool. Love those chandeliers. Cool orange carpets. As always I would love to restore this keeping with its original aesthetic. It’s a shame to lose another of this period’s homes. Thanks for sharing this one Ethan!! Take care be well and stay safe!
Thanks For letting me be beside you on this Beautiful Retro split level home. Hate seeing a once lovely basement drowning HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY TO YOU ETHAN.I know im early jus got to say it before your day arives. Love ya Buddy take care be healthy for the next adventure .CYA
Hi Ethan This a cool house. I have to tell you I never seen the water level in any abandoned house that high in a flooded basement. Man that was high. I think these people were religious. There were a lot of rosary beads around and that last supper plaque was real neat. These people who lived here liked the house as is was. They never changed anything. All those televisions you found sure were old. $19,000.000 is a lot of money to pay for that land. They must want to put up lots of warehouses on that huge property. At least after the house is gone you will have the proof that a nice house proudly stood there and can live on in your archives. Thank you Ethan for showing us around this lovely home with all its charm. Keep well and stay safe.👍🆒 5 star content⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. There were some creepy chairs in this house.🪑
Thank you, Ethan! You always bring the best explorations. But who or what are these 'corporations' buying all these properties? And what are the supposed warehouses for?
A wonderful large, well built retro! The brick and stone and materials are great! Nothing screams retro like orange carpet and purple tile, totally love it!! A beautiful home and the land itself as well! Total shame it will be wiped away and covered up 😐 It is an important and meaningful thing that you do, documenting these fantastic properties, and it is so awesome to know that the former owners do see and share their appreciation and sentiments with you! 😎🤟✌️
This is really a neat old house. Lots of space, very comfortable and fairly well maintained. The orange sculptured carpet was awesome - Super 60s! Thanks for sharing it with us, Ethan!
Hey Ethan, thank you for another fab explore 👍...so many acres of land 😮,how do you keep it under control ...i have trouble with my small garden ...love the house, nice big living room ,shame bout the basement...stay safe well and happy 💋
This is like the unofficial 'hockey house'! 🙂 When you stepped inside i noticed the red lamp right away, and you went everywhere but over to it (i kept willing you to walk to it because i wanted a better view! 😄). I thought the 'marble' on the kitchen counter and that dinette set were cool. Also, wanted to point out that i'm a fan of the different ceiling patterns they make with/into the plaster so i'm grateful that you always show them! One more thing--I've never seen an intercom on the outside of a house, and not even in a sheltered area. I wonder how well that thing worked? 🤔
Hey Ethan, that was fun. I didn’t care for their choices of colors throughout, but it was decorated in the 60’s😁. Loved the light fixtures. That hanging light in that first bedroom you went in can be pulled down/pushed up. The first house we bought was built in 56 & it had the exact same light in our dinette. We actually liked that you could pull it down-like for doing a puzzle etc. But it definitely wasn’t something we kept. That orange carpet was so ugly. Oh the cross was a rosary. It is used for praying the Our Father /Hail Mary’s. The statue is The Last Supper(Jesus & the Disciples before Jesus was crucified) Too bad the basement was flooded. I bet it was another wow! Take care Ethan
Another great find! Wish we could find someway to either save the houses or wish there was a way to save some of the items used in making and decorating the house. Such a shame. I"m glad you are doing well. Look forward to your next adventure!
17:30 That old letter is written on special Air Mail paper. A single sheet designed to be super light so it's less expensive to send overseas. The language is italian. I'm guessing a letter from a family member back in Italy.
I love the orange carpet and some of those chandeliers need to be salvaged. That kitchen is a tight squeeze. Too bad the basement was sooo flooded. Wow! You can tell it has been abandoned much longer than next door (if that’s the house that was so well maintained that you showed recently).
I love the floor plan here, it's spacious. The brick would have kept the house cool in the summer I would think and the property (if it could be fixed up) is really nice.
Love your videos! I can just imagine what it would have been like when new 🙂 Would you ever consider going back to places where houses have been demolished, to see what's been built there now? and how different it is? 🥰
My house was built in 1910 (it was an old farmhouse) and eventually my Great Grandma bought the house and I assume she had renovated it because I remember having 60's and 70's carpeting (and yes in the bathroom too) with the old GE Textolite starburst counter tops and yellow metal cabinets in the kitchen. Lots of wood paneling....and I mean lots. (We have done a lot of work to this house since the year 2000) I am 4th Generation to live in this house which is cool. Anyway, I love seeing the 60's 70's houses because it reminds me of my grandparents, and they had some of the same features in this house back in the day.
I always wonder if someone who lived in or knew the people from a house you did saw your video. I think that’s pretty cool to see a comment saying I lived in that house.
Good morning Ethan 🤗. I believe this house was well lived in and 10 to 1 chances this individual, the last person that was living here had probably died and intern the children sold the house and everything that was in it. They dispersed out amongst themselves in my opinion. I know one thing back in the day elegance was a priority to show prosperity so it’s just something to think about when you do go into these homes like this. To help us to have appreciation for the time that it was built anyways, thank you for sharing you take care and be safe🫶🏻❤️🤠
The attic entry being hidden in the closet used to be pretty popular back in the day. Now builders put them in the ceilings of the hallways or garages where they’re very visible. Neat house - too bad it’s going to be torn down.
So funny listening to kids talk about dates like 2003 like it was so long ago. 😂👍🏻... Appreciate your youth while you've got it. It all creeps up faster than you think.
Since my family have bought trailers from Canada and drives here for hunting we have over 40 thousand lady bugs and every year we get so many new ones.
I have been following you for a while now enjoy your videos. I prefer the large mansions but like them all and like the mirrors hey guys what’s up ha ha ha I live in Stafford, Virginia and we still have plastic bags just saying.😊
I got a kick out of the NuTone intercom and music system. In 1990 I bought an early 70s house, International style architecture, that had that same system 😂 The hanging plaque on the kitchen wall, Ioannes XXIII, is Pope John the twenty-third. Ioannes is the Latin form of John. There were at least a couple rosaries and crucifixes. The owners were Catholic.
So many people need permanent homes. The laws need to change so families have priorities over corporations. Plenty available commercial property available.
I mean like they weren’t forced to sell technically. They were given the option. If I was offered over 10 times what my property is worth I’d probably sell it, and I think anybody with a little bit of common sense would too. Just sad to see why they’re buying them.
Love all your videos but not fond of some of the language that flips out I’m sure. We watched at least four a day. We really love them appreciate your doing these. Really hate they are demolished
Did anyone catch the orbs when he was looking at the receipt under the Corona bottle? Not trying to be a weirdo, at all, just there was a large orange one at the end of the receipt part.
its crazy this house is older then sylvester stalones abandoned 79 house and this one is older.considring its been some time since anyone been there its in decent shape still

Cool house Ethan. The orange carpet would sure wake you up in the morning. Thank you for the explore. Blessings and what safe. ❤❤
It’s too bad we couldn’t see the basement because I bet it was a party place. I love these split level houses. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Ethan. i saw an orb around 20:20 It flew up around your arm. The place is nice, to bad the basement was flooded.

I love watching your channel and seeing the difference between Canada and U.S. properties and houses
Nice house Ethan. Love the light fixtures. Neat. Bummer the basement was flooded. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

That Expos jersey is super dope. Starter made the best stuff back in the day.

Ethan does it again. My Aunt and Uncle lived in a split level, it was amazing. keep up the great adventures 😊❤

From Virginia enjoyed it very much 🤩
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very nice house! Cool video Ethan! 🤘❤️👍
Thank you
There's something about a flooded basement that bothers me, just like an empty pool. cool house though and I love the lights in the house.
it creeps the hell outta me when it’s deep water and it’s dark down there. something about it is just terrifying to me lol
@ethanminnie same here, and I worry about you dropping your phone in it.
I love the floor plan here, it's spacious. The brick would have kept the house cool in the summer I would think and the property (if it could be fixed up) is really nice.
Nice house 🏠🏡

Thanks for a great video😊
This house are not damaged to be built in in 1960 the basement was flooded but another thing that this wasn’t too bad

Another great vlog Ethan ❤

Hi Ethan!❤
Sweet old house, kind of small, but meet at the same time
I've never seen a basement flooded up that high, it seems like it's almost up to ground level
I wonder if that thing on the door. Was an alarm, because the person might wonder off.
House is my age, m a bit rough and seen better days also😂
Love those red lamps.
The attic entry being hidden in the closet used to be pretty popular back in the day. Now builders put them in the ceilings of the hallways or garages where they’re very visible. Neat house - too bad it’s going to be torn down.
The table and tiles, retro Cool
Again a nice video man keep em coming

So funny listening to kids talk about dates like 2003 like it was so long ago. 😂👍🏻... Appreciate your youth while you've got it. It all creeps up faster than you think.

Hello Ethan, the picture on the wall is Pope Jean XXIII. Thanks for that great video!
He was Pope around 1960. Probably original!
@@loosilu Yes, indeed!
Loved the house
Hey Ethan , the house where you took your pic of you in that groovy chair, the Salvage Kings took all that out of the house and sold it
Hi Ethan Cathy Nashville Tennessee 🙂
❣️❣️ Really over 6,000 views and only 800 likes??? Come on he deserves more likes !!! He works hard to bring us these great videos ❣️❣️
Hi 👋 from the uk ❤
The lady bugs are typical when you live on a farm or you have a lot of acreage. We have a lot of them certain times of the year and it’s crazy.
The last supper 🙏🏾💞
This house does look 👀 creepy Ethan 😳
That's an alarm that goes off, too let someone know that the door was opened... I had on, it's very loud like a siren. 😮
I got a kick out of the NuTone intercom and music system. In 1990 I bought an early 70s house, International style architecture, that had that same system 😂 The hanging plaque on the kitchen wall, Ioannes XXIII, is Pope John the twenty-third. Nice find , was it just me or did i not notice a shower or bathtub anywhere 🤔 😅
That car key I’m pretty sure goes to a Chevy trailblazer
Great House! Show us another toilet PLEASE! You are way better at hiding addresses than you are showing Open Toilets! 😢❤
It's not like he's videoing straight into the toilet. Sometimes it just can't be helped. 😊
So many people need permanent homes. The laws need to change so families have priorities over corporations. Plenty available commercial property available.

It says in the title it’s a priests house ( catholic) , he was probably retired and very elderly. So interesting.
Sorry Ethan but I have to correct you. What you're referring to as a scuptive ceiling is accually a medallion.
I had a TV like that 😂❤, I'm Old 😂
Love all your videos but not fond of some of the language that flips out I’m sure. We watched at least four a day. We really love them appreciate your doing these. Really hate they are demolished

Hi Ethan
Hey Ethan
Those ladybugs are probably that beetle that invaded u.s. a few years ago. I think africa if memory serves
Is this hockey history or house exploring lol
They left Jesus behind. 😂
Cool 😀
Whats up Ethan?
🖤🖤🖤🖤
Seems like their were Catholic, those are rosery beads 🙏🏾
opps, sorry *Ethan
Hi Ethan I do like watching your videos but lately you seem to be going through fast and spinning around in them.
Looks like Pope John Paul
It's Pope John 23rd.
