We were away on a trip back to Ontario to visit family, then a super quick road trip to Nova Scotia. I had lots of knitting time over the last month, and picked up some beautiful new yarn at The Mariners Daughter in Lunenberg, NS

I finished a pair of tweedy socks that were started on the ferry in BC, worked on while flying and driving in ON, QC, NB and NS and finished on the road back to Ontario. I'm calling them my Coast to Coast socks. Knit with Knitpicks Stroll Tweed

Hey Laura, glad to see you back. Nice that you got to visit Nova Scotia this Summer. Lunenbourg is a fun place to visit. I enjoy the "Mom's buy and sell" shop(if it's still open), lots of antique things. Lunenbourg is great for the calf muscles, lots of hills. We just recieved a text from our friends on Pender Island playing disc golf, good times, good times.🥰Sharon.

I live near Lunenburg! Parking at Mariner's Daughter is challenging this time of year. Next time you visit, there is another yarn shop Mahone Bay (very close to Lunenburg) called Have A Yarn. Film crews have been in Lunenburg too (Locke and Key on Netflix)... 🙂
Ooo we saw that driving through Mahone Bay but it was closed... parking downtown lunenberg looked nuts, but luckily we were camped at the RV park at the top of the hill so we could walk to town🙂
Happy Podiversary! My Pug mix is nearing 11 years old. My favorite yarns are heathered, tweed and marled - they just seem so cozy, almost lived in and warmer somehow. Love your tweed socks, I definitely have to check out the KP stroll tweed yarn!
Yes I completely agree about the heathered and tweed yarns! They just seem to have more depth

I was in Lunenburg years ago! I had no idea they had a yarn shop!! When I get back to Nova Scotia I must visit! Thank you for mentioning it! Cabin boy knits up in northern Ontario does great videos on natural dyeing if you are curious about the process it really well explained. I am so glad you got home to see your families that was probably the best part of your trip😉😍
