You’re so right about the up and down open decks on Azura, it takes a couple of days to get used to.

Ohhh don’t worry, most will provide seasickness tablets (may have to purchase). Recommend booking a cabin in the middle and low down on the ship as you feel less movements 😀

Thank you for this series. I’ve said it before but your experience seems to match mine of Azura. I too was a late booking albeit a month out, and found her such a welcoming and friendly ship - she really exceeded what I think were too low expectations!

Also thanks for the short ad breaks. A few vloggers seem to have started doing 45/60 adverts which get a bit tedious!
We kind of let UA-cam so it’s think but we also take about 50% of the adverts out that UA-cam places to try and get the right balance :)

Ohh can’t say we noticed them, lots of teddy’s and definitely no inflatable boats as we asked for them.

I totally agree with you, Azura feels like a ship not a floating hotel. I like this, not everyone does but all considered I did prefer Azura to Iona. Who was the Captain on your cruise? We had Captain Neil and he did seem to go the extra mile with his bad jokes and welcome drink reception- which I thought was a P&O thing but different Captains do different things. Also the entertainment hosts were really visible and chatty to passengers all the time on Azura, and even the pool attendants were friendly. I wonder why there is such a difference between ships.
Yeah, absolutely right and such a happy ship too, happy friendly staff make for happy passengers. It was capTAIN Neil we had too, a right character!
Did i see Edwin the Glass House Manager in your photo? A lovely man who used to be on Britannia, always walks around and talks to the diners and remembers you if you return
You sure did! Him and the team at The Glass House we’re fantastic
Would Azura be the closest match to Aurora in your opinion?
I.e. - with a promenade deck and a tiered Aft?
We loved Aurora❤ and found the lack of a prom deck on Britannia a bit of a deal breaker ( despite the overall fabulousness of Britannia herself - post re-fit)
Think possibly Arcadia has more of an Aurora vibe, and is a stunning ship. Azura is a nice mix, the popular P&O venues like Sindhu, Epicurean and glasshouse without being too big. It’s also hot multiple entertainment venues. If you likes Britannia but want the deck space and prob Azura would be a good one.

Just to clarify, the retreat has a fee..does the fee incl the oasis pool (the adult only) or does it cost extra or is it even free? Surpised to hear the steam room and sauna are free, thats brillant... anyway..lovely sunday to you both...bye for now! x
They mention the pool is separate as do the hottubes and those are accessible to all.

Hi! The retreat area is changed for, that’s the area high up and has the loungers, refreshments and snacks - the area with the fake plants etc.
The Oasis pool is just below it and this is FREE to everyone, it has a pool and 2 hot tubs that are adult only. Lovely spot. From here you can also access the Sauna and Steam room as these are located in the changing rooms, again free. We really like these are they are included where on ships like Iona or Arvia, the steam rooms and sauna require you to pay. Hope that helps :)

18 we believe, but no one checks to be honest.

Are you allowed to drink booze or sodas in the hot tubs ..?? 🤔🤔
They didn’t seem to mind about it as everyone was doing it. All glassware is plastic at these bars
