- jewelry design love this earring project, simply because you need very few supplies to make them I also love leather and wire together.mYou can use any round bead that you want in whatever size you prefer, the only thing to keep in mind is that the leather cord you are using fits through the bead.
For the earring in the tutorial I used, 2, 10 mm baroque pearls, 8 inches of 1 mm brown leather and 2, 6 mm spacer beads, for the other earrings I used 2,10 mm baroque pearls, 8 inches 1 mm black leather cord, 2, 10 mm silver space round beads and 2 ear wires. Both earrings measure 2 1/2 inches from top to bottom.

These are so simple and pretty! Just to be clear, though - you're gluing the two ends of the leather to each other inside the pearl, right? I've made leather bangles with tube beads, and made the mistake of thinking the leather would affix to the inside of the bead. They fell apart in no time. The ends of the leather with the glue must touch each other if you want the join to last. Thanks, again, for yet another great design idea!
+vidbox44 you're absolutely right that's why I mentioned to push in as far as the leather would go so the two pieces touch. Thanks so much for your input, experience is the master of all teachers so your advice is invaluable 😊

@@DeniseMathew Here in Kansas city we got to 7 below but the last 2 days were 70's, today 40..I'm so ready for spring and when it's cold like that all I can think of is the poor animals forced to be out there..drives me crazy.
Yes, I think the tough part is over. And on a happy note I saw that Texas released all the sea turtles that they had saved, back to the sea, so that’s a positive sign. Spring is just around the corner.

Good tip, I do it with water to prevent that 😊
