Hi Ben, greetings from the UK. An excellent product which I have used for over 30 years is POLYFILTER marketed by Arcadia. It removes just about any nasties from the water and even when saturated after several weeks it does not release anything back into the aquarium. I use it in my external power filter and change it every 8 weeks. Strangely, although it's been on the market for many years not many people have heard of it. I would only use activated carbon to remove medications on a temporary basis. Thanks so much for your videos I really enjoy them. Sending best wishes : Peter 😀

Polyfilter is a great product. I forget about it. Some fish sellers who ship will put a small square of it in the bag to absorb toxin accumulation during shipment.

I've come across odors in my tank in the past and now I know that carbon will get rid of it thank you for the tip
