Such a talented pair with the ability to make brilliant music in any genre. The 'Revenge' album that 'Missionary Man' leads off is also closed with one of my personal favourite's 'I Remember You' - a subtle, sad and classy song that rarely gets a look-in by reactors. Give it a go...please.
Fantastic songs from a fantastic band. I look forward to much more - I was a fan from the get-go, and their album “Be Yourself Tonight” was my first music purchase with my own money (from delivering newspapers) aged 14 ❤
You cannot go wrong with the Eurythmics. My favorite album of theirs is probably "Savage". So innovative and experimental. Should you want to dip your toe into that pool, I suggest starting with the opener "Beethoven" and the title track "Savage".
Not to disappoint you 🤗but the backing vocals, at least the higher pitched bluesy scat riffing, was sung by Joniece Jamison on "Missionary Man". If you watch the official music video for the song you can see her and get a better idea of who sang what, although it isn't completely clear. I had heard "Missionary Man" a fair bit back in the day but I've never heard "Lifted" before and I really loved it! 👌 It reminded me of the style of some songs from Annie's 2007 solo album "Songs of Mass Destruction" which I really enjoy and one of these days a song or two from it will likely end up in one of my requests! 🥰
Silly me...I knew Joniece did backing vocals before I recorded the reaction. Will have to listen again to hear the difference in her voice. Glad you also loved Lifted. Back to dinner... 😋
Trying to wake up, and out of coffee? Listen to Missionary Man. I NEVER get tired of it. The music video is a trippy hoot. The lyrics, along with what our host mentioned, are also a criticism of organized religion Lifted: Annie Lennox singing is enough to recommend the song. A well-crafted potboiler ballad
Annie and Dave- a power duo that seem to always create powerful musical magic in every song... Thanks for watching! 🥰
Try their early classic “Love is a Stranger.” Dark, seductive synth pop at its very best 😊
“I Need A Man” is another good one.
Oh. Ive loved these songs for decades... Another amazing song by Annie Lenox is
Into the West
I love the diversity on your channel ❤
First….was just going to hit the hay! Love Annie’s voice !
Hey! Thought you already "hayed" long ago 😁 Sleep well bud 🥇

Recommendation:
Band: "It's a Beautiful Day", Song: 'Wasted Union Blues' 1969
Very worth exploring the first album of this San Francisco band.
