Rowntree is a former prop. Do you think he might have been frustrated with the IRFUs policy of not allowing privinces to bring in foreign players? While the policy might have good intentions, it's going to lead to Munster at least not going far in any competition
What's the point of installing a policy just for it to be breached withing months of installing it? The IRFU can't be seen to be a pushover just because munster can't manage player development. Not when 90% of revenue comes from the international team.
@eoinmiller5620 maybe the policy doesn't work for all the provinces? Maybe it's a bit shortsighted because it could lead to decreased revenues because teams other than Leinster won't make it to the later stages of competitions. IMHO, it's not a good idea to depend on 1 province for the international team
@patman142 the policy incentivises the other provinces to develop their own, and not patch over issues with NIQ signings. This reduces the nation leagues dependency on just one province... by adding depth from the other 3. Can't have your cake and eat it too.
@@eoinmiller5620 that's all well and good in the long-term but the reality is that from time to time, whether it is long term injuries or something else, there should not be a blanket ban. This has only come in since Humphries arrived into the role. There should be flexibility here
They say they were talking about this exit for a while. Rowntree has not contradicted that so I'm inclined to believe it. It just seems strange to leave after 6 games. I'm hoping he gets a job with England.
Have you heard about ross Byrne might be going to Montpellier next season ? I think his playing style will suit the big Montpellier pack. And their playing style
Love this lineup of commentators 👏🏼 thanks

Munster got Props signed just can't keep them fit or ready

Bad day for Munster.

Rob Baxter? He'd have my vote.
Already in crises!
His being shafted by munsters bosses who have left him down big time
Have you heard about ross Byrne might be going to Montpellier next season ? I think his playing style will suit the big Montpellier pack. And their playing style
Yes, his playing style of not being able to do anything without a big pack will suit having a big pack.
Good move for him if that's true.
