DIY Budget Chuck Box Camp Kitchen

- I made this DIY chuck box camp kitchen for $0 using a nearly 30 year old tool box, various pieces of wood and kitchen items I've had around the house. I was happy I could get everything I need to cook at camp in the box.
If you have an old box in the garage measure 3 times and give it a try. You'll be surprised how much will fit with some planning and a little luck.

New follower and was so impressed on what you created! You gave me ideas to work on going forward! You are amazing! Thank YOU!
Thank you very much for the kind words and glad I could help!👍
Very clever
Thank you very much!👍
awesome box camp.
Thank you!👍
simple things are the best!
Yes they are!👍
I like the electric skillet. If i ever camp at an electric site i bring all my electric stuff, and if non electric i have my Coleman two burner stove
Thank you. That sounds like a good plan. Thanks for stopping by.👍
What a smart build!! Excellent use of space and resources!
Thank you very much for the compliment!👍
That's so handy, Robert! I love how compact & resourceful this whole setup is! I need to look into that Walmart knock-off solo stove
Thanks D! And the WM stove is pretty cool!👍
Omgoodness, I love your ideas for a “porta - kitchen”. Thank you! Huh, I have all the pieces but didn’t know to put them together, who knew , teehee you did😊
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for checking out my video and the comment!👍
Absolutely amazing!
Thank you very much!👍
What an awesome build!
Thank you! I really appreciate it!👍
Nice.
Thank you!👍
Nice and compact. The magnet attached to the cookie sheet precludes the use of the sheet in any cooking application however.
The cookie sheet is metal and I put the sheet on my bench and the magnet stuck to it. When I put the cookie sheet in place it then stuck to the utensil tray. A happy accident. The magnet is removeable and the cookie sheet is available for anything I may need it for. Thanks for checking out the video and commenting! 👍
@@robertcrowjr I didn't realize it was steel. I normally think of cookie sheets as being made of aluminum so I assumed that the magnet was glued on. 🙂
@@joewoodchuck3824 It's old like me and I was surprised that the magnet stuck to it not thinking about it being magnetic!👍
Thanks for sharing your work that obviously works well for you! Has been decades since I camped and took so many items with me when what you have assembled is all one truly needs! Would be interested in learning about your battery that powers the skillet. And where did you find the metal tray holding your cooking and eating utensils?
I have odds and ends that I could fashion into a similar simple collection of items needed to cook away from utilities.
I believe I got the utensil holder at Home Depo some years back. Amazon has many different sizes and styles that could work. The power station is 1000W AlphaESS 1036Wh Solar Generator from Amazon. It is by far the least expensive for a 1000W I have seen and so far works great. Thank you for checking out the video and commenting and if you put something together I would love to see it.👍
@@robertcrowjr Sincere thanks for your quick and informative reply! Will explore beginning to acquire the components via Amazon!
Hello @robertcrowjr, are you the Rob Crow that would have attended Governor's Honors in summer 1969?
Sorry Bill I am not that Rob Crow. I wish you luck finding your friend with such a great name!👍
