This isn't really a bug. The game has a mechanic where crushing a high with duck input will instantly you into a special crouching state (you may hear it be called crouch assist or crouch level 1.5). You can tell you are in the state when your character doesn't crouching walk forward while holding down + forward. What moves are accessible in this state are character specific (i.e. king fc df2 used to not be available in this state until they changed it in patch 1.05). The crouch assist also messes with movement stances (such as the mishima crouch dash) if the stance isn't available from full crouch. This is also why you can duck a high and instantly do a while standing move after crushing a high even if you had only hit down for 1f.
Yeah fairs, I wasn’t entirely sure what to call it. I’ve known about this mechanic for a long time but no one really discussed it so I couldn’t find any terms for it other than what was seemingly a bug, but regardless I still think it should be acknowledged more because of how useful it is especially with how almost no one at beginner intermediate or even some higher level players do not know about it, thanks for the clarification
@cinder_io I do agree that it should be more known. There are some under explored option selects that use the mechanic like Heihachi's os between electric and fc df2.
I dont remember who but this one cool person who made some tekken 7 content who i cant find searching for them made a video about it and called it "phantom ducking" and explained it quite in depth *I found it Friendly Koala "Strategy research : phantom crouch frames (option select)" is the video im referring to, its 20 minutes but its a good watch this person is very informative Tho they havent made videos in like 6-8 months not sure how long
Jin's FF 3 forces you to crouch when you block it. This has been in since T1. This happens when you block heavy downward strikes. While you're in that block stagger if you mash you're going to get a while rising attack as if you're getting up from a crouch. Also your ability to sidestep and backdash is limited because you in a forced crotch state
@@dmariots this is not true, jins ff3 does not force crouch, test it yourself or watch the video again you can see there is no force crouch icon and he is left standing. Jins ff3 is not the same as kazuyas or heihachis, you can see my ability to do a df1 after ff3 demonstrates how it doesn’t force crouch
@@cinder_ioim moving and my game is in storage now. How it used to work is df1 comes out if you wait for Lee to recover from the guard stun.hold down 👇🏼 you recover crotched, is why you get diqk jab or low kick when you mash. This is always been an option when dealing with axe kicks moves to recover crotched or standing.
@ listen man, you completely misinterpreted what I showcased in the video, and you for some reason think ff3 forces crouch, when it does not, you are mentioning something irrelevant to what occurs in the situation I showcase, please rewatch my video if you struggled to understand
Informative as hell thank you

Jins main weakness:Everyone knows your matchup
You can option select about everything Jin does. People just like to complain about everything.
Doesn’t change the fact that he’s completely overturned and braindead to play with no significant weaknesses
^Jin main crying.
@jr-2nd what do you mean?
@@jr-2nd which jin main hurt u
@@jr-2ndis he wrong tho? Or are you just name calling?
u can also option select his zen transitions after block with df 1 aswell.
Here's another one if you're playing Lee vs Jin: d2 will beat both Jin's 123 and 124 string
Really cool tech, didnt know this

@Twin-Server76 well no I'll just be wrong. Which it is a possibility for years how I dealt with that string is to diqk jab, low kick or parry/ counter
