Man, I was 90 when this came out !
Now I am 115 and this record sounds still solid!
I'll have what your having.
@thomas moore after wiping away the tears from laughing at your comment, I can now write 'thankyou for that'....cheers mate!!
WHITE lives matters !
Haha whoa yeah Rufus-style ...m'kay!?
Haha feel dem vibes
Chris Kontos' drumming is what made BME a classic. There's a certain tightness to his playing that Dave McClain just didn't have.
chris has groove, mcclain just doesn't have dynamics
Brings back memories, the 90s... Such a great album!
yes.
Burn my eyes nice
Berkeley Square!
Burn my Eyes Is one of the best metal album ever for me 🤘
That ending... A Kontos on fire!
I can see what you did there!
Still soo heavy, especially when you consider this album came out in 1994(!) ... such a mindblowing debut.
Some of the heaviest albums came out in the 80s and 90s. They had the technology back then too. You make it sound like 1994 was 50 years ago... Still Burn My Eyes is one of my favorite metal albums of the 90s though.
@@butchvito burn my eyes and the best The More Things Change imo Machine Head opus magnum album.
@Brian P I agree, I don't necessarily mean the technology but the whole musical landscape of the time. Heavy metal slowly dying, grunge taking over and then before Nu Metal could even become a thing *bam* BME drops. It was just such a statement...
@@metfan4l Death Metal was at it's peak at that time and 2nd wave Black Metal was showing up so not really...
metfan4l Nah dawg fuck the debut the burning red and supercharger are the only good MH albums. Nü Machine Head 4 lyfe bronnie
Kontos again ... he is unreal
elfome culiao he’s still got it, and maybe even better than he was in 94
I agree!!!!
Amazing drummer
And Logan Mader is the essence of the sound that was missing except for the "blackening" at machine head .... I hope it's not just for a simple moment but that they'll put the world of metal kneeling and we get out bombs ....
@@The_JustJoshing nah but he's still amazing
I am not a huge MH fan, but I have to admit - Robb is one of a very few metal vocalists, whose voice hasn't diminish since a band's origin. Plus, this record, after 25 years, is still a killer.
Their magnus opus, in my opinion.
❤️❤️❤️
You know i AM a huge fan, since their origin and i honestly never thought about that...
30 years this year!! Still sounds better than many newer 'heavy' bands nowadays
One of the best and underrated Machine Head songs. Always loved this one! 🤘
Wouldn’t say it’s underrated, from my experience talking to people about burn my eyes it’s usually one of the first few songs brought up. It is a great song though
Every generation saying:
Music was beter in my times.
Me growing up in early 90's: Hold my beer.
Well, the underground was (Death, early Morbid Angel, Sepultura till 93, Symphony X, Blind Guardian, early Nevermore, Obituary, Cannibal Corpse etc), but then there was Nu Metal becoming the mainstream of metal. Then again, every decade have had its good and bad side of popular metal (80s had Glam before Thrash, 90s had Nu Metal after Groove metal, 00s had Metalcore etc)
90' gave us Chris Kontos, Mike Portnoy and Nikolas Barker, of course there was Vinnie Paul, Igor Cavalera and a ton other fantastic drummers but these three were easily my favs!
I like how during Logan’s solo the camera keeps cutting to the rest of the band, but during Robb’s solo it stays on him the whole time
I lost count of how many times I got high as a teenager and listened to this album in my bedroom , a masterpiece!
Awesome album
I know right
Thanks for the idea. I just recently tried listening to it like that because of this comment. Burn my eyes and the great southern trendkill are my favorite albums to listen to in that state
Duuude, None But My Own is a solid and slow burner of a monster. Those circle pits spin out of control once the solo and conclusion escalates.
This album was really ahead of its time
THE NOSTALGIA JUST FUCKING FLOWS ,HELL YEAH!!!
I saw MH in Cardiff 1997, I was right at the front with my mate, I was 12. Soon as the guys came on we got smashed to the back of the mosh pit! Still loved it and love this sound 25 yrs later!
Kontos is absolutely killing it during the very last section of the song. So fast, so tight and so HEAVY!
3/4 of original Machine Head and 4/5 of Vio-Lence back in action! Machine Head falling apart was the greatest thing ever!
1994,19 years old, volume to the max in the headphones and a broken neck...lol. If there was a time machine i would dive right into it...
Ditto, might have just turned 20. Got my first experience of Machine Head at the gig. Was talkin' with Logan outside the gig earlier on, didn't know who he was! Robb was hanging out randomly with folks also. By then I'd been a massive Slayer fan for about 3 years or so, my first experience of having my face ripped off by them swiftly followed!! ... seated venue, massive pile of seats at the side of the stage by the end of the gig! .... I'm for going back! 😀
@@crazydavec3861 haha good times...man that year was so special for me. It was the year that i also saw my all time favorite band,Pantera, here in Portugal in the old Dramático de Cascais, which doesn´t exist anymore. It was the only concert of their entire career here in Portugal and i was there. Believe me when i say that i would love to go back in time.
@@nunorocha8822 Oh yeah, that year another band I didn't yet know of came to town. I was essentially marched off by my friends to buy a ticket... Paradise Lost (Icon) supporting Sepultura (Chaos AD), holy shit, that was a gig! Our big venue was the London LA2, which is also no longer with us! Great times!
@@crazydavec3861 Paradise Lost and Sepultura together in that era??? It was fucking amazing. Those are 2 other bands that i really love. Specially Sepultura. Sad day for Metal when the Cavalera boys left the band. But those were the days indeed. Truly good times Dave.
@@nunorocha8822 Yeah, there's a Paradise Lost album "Live at the BBC", the second half of which is Live, 4th December 1993, Liverpool Royal Court. It's pretty much the whole set from that gig. I was thinking, fuck me, Sepultura made a big mistake having these guys as support, awesome show and they're not gonna be able to top it... lights flashed, refuse/resist and the whole place went crazy for a couple of hours! :)
BEST debut album in metal history until this day in March 2022 !! and I've been listening to this masterpiece since the 90's ... God bless Metal
🤘🤘🤘🤘 this is my favorite band because of this album 🔥🔥💯👍been a fan for many years
@@gregorydimaggio4470 Machine Head are so good especially live - been a fan since late 90‘s. Cheers
@@headbangerscorner1114 yes they are seen them in 2013 at the hard rock casino in Biloxi Mississippi 🤘🤘🔥 and have been a fan as well since the 90s 🤘🤘🎸
Man, I gotta comment again!
I know I’m about 2 years late with discovering this, but these videos of the original lineup are
F U C K I N G
G O L D !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Finding this is like waking up
on Christmas morning, and coming down them steps, knowing that you’re in for something really
Cool, something that you thought you would never see again, like these 4 guys all in the same room together,
fuckin’ gittin’ it!!!!!!!
Absolutely phenomenal band!!
The riffs on those first two albums were what I call effective simplicity. Head Bang worthy shit!
Kontos is a monster drummer, one of the best.
absolutely! didnt get to see the band for the first time till a couple yrs after he had left, so these new videos are the first time seeing him play live - and im totally awestruck
Machine Head is one of the loudest bands I have ever heard. If not the loudest, they are tied with Gojira. Simple put, sensational with electrical energy. Go to a show!!!
Can we have THIS machine head back please!!! Fuking brutal! And what a song🤯
Insane how tight they play 🤘🏻🤓🤘🏻
Logan looking in the best shape ever🔥🔥
Listening in 1994 - wow, it'so heavy! Very, very fucking good!
Listening in 2022 - wow, it'so heavy! Very, very fucking good!
Just best band in the world!
:D
"Burn my eyes" is one of the important and influencial metal albums! Crushing live studio performance!!!
My favorite MH intro, so heavy and the harmonics really pierces your skin
Chills...
Burn My Eyes and Demanufacture are my favorite 90s albums
Kontos the real Machine (Head) !!!
One of my favourite bands then at 17.... still one of my foavourites today at 42👌
Hell yes dude!!!!
Kontos was always my favorite MH drummer!
Kontos, he has a style that we're going for, there's no substitute. I don't know what Rob is thinking.
Watched them once during BME Tour@1997@Manchester UK...🤘🤘..MH the best...
Goosebumps! You guys were ahead of your time. Sounds more wicked now! And that voice!
Same here dude, same here!
Trendsetters. Ground breaking album
Oh my god...my favourite band ...chris is a genius...volume to the max in my taxi
Logan has got such calm energy about him. It´s such a contrast to see him playing this kind of music.
KONTOS!!!! KILLING IT!!
Holy f******* that was insanely explosive. Let's give credit where credit is due....Rob. he's has his ups and downs but he made this happen, I tip my cap to you Rob. The boys are back !!
Hell yeah!!! And that f*cking brutal sound of the 5150 is absolutely killer!
Thanks for play this fantastic old songs. It’s amazing to see you 3 again playing together! I miss Adam so much, but also Jared is a very talented musician. Respect for this important band!
FUCKING METAL MASTERPIECE!!!!!!
MY........HEART......BLEEDS......FOR.....NONE ....BUT ......MY .....OWN🤘🏻🤘🏻
These guys are seriously one of my guitar playing influences....the very first time I heard Davidian....I said "That's fuuuuuuuuuuuuckin metal"!
because they tune is rage
Davidian is the best way to introduce someone to Machine Head. At least I'm part of those who still remember the first time I listened to it, even if it was in the 90's. The power of that song is insane
Blast from the past! One of the best albums of the 90's - Burn my eyes!
Rob gives so much energy in every movement he make. This is how METAL NEEDS TO BE FELT.
Badass song guys, I love how brutal some of the riffs sound. Can't wait for more live versions of past songs 🔥🔥
Hands down the 90s was the best decade for metal.
Very great song big👍 from marseille France. Y love machine head since 20 years merci pour tout bravo
this is my theme music.... when I'm out proving "Age and Treachery overcomes Youth and Skill"
**EDIT** I just want to add that these guys are like a realllllly good bottle of wine. Holy SHIT they have gotten better with age. just something about this recording... Listening to it on my studio's monitors, Christ on a Crutch it's good at about 96Db right in the sweet spot. \m/ õçõ \m/
MH still improving a MASTERPIECE...yeah
Killer song, killer production! Can't wait to hear the re-recorded Burn My Eyes album.
Can't freaking wait to see them live, performing Burn my Eyes in its entirety.
Listening this song with the original line up made my teenage buttons pop up again!
Time traveling machines exist, and it's music!
I can’t stop listening to this.
This studio series is outstanding! Burn My Eyes is my favourite metal album hands down. I was 12 when they hooked me back in '95. They have aged very well.
Kontos crushes‼️ 🤘🏼
MY MIND WAS JUST BLOWN!...That was amazing!
Thank you SOOOO MUCH!!!! I can't wait to buy this remastered album!
Shroomstep Not remastered. Re-recorded!
Nice to hear a natural snare sound instead of the same overused sample we hear nowadays.
If you're hearing sampled snare, you're listening to the wrong music. I was actually going to say that this snare sounds a bit thin.
yet snare so sharp it'll slice you...
@@realSethMeyers - Well, before I conclude if the music I'm listening to is "wrong" I have to listen to it, haven't I? That's how I know who's using sampled snares (or snare replacements, as some call it). But let me assure you that sampled drums is one of the main reasons I won't listen to some bands again.
@@Module79L Doesn't Cannibal Corpse use drum samples?
Love the Merciful Fate shirt!
Absolutely explosive! Just like at the old times 🤘🤘
This song hammers the nails without a hammer
Killer song, killer sound and bring memories from my childhood. Can't beat this.
this is so fucking heavy, the first is still the best M.H. album, great to see the original members back!
So good!. Wow.
Yes yes absolutely!
Big up to Jared for laying down that thick thick thick low end. November can't come round quick enough!!
i'm speechless. Perfect!
Fucking brilliant....Chris Kontos especially.
Should be the permanent lineup. This is beyond incredible
Incredible
Nothing better than a Peavey 5150 and a tube screamer for some brutal metal tone.
Méga son pour un méga titre !!
Gracias :)
Sounds awesome!
PERFECT
Awesome!! Thank you for doing this. I needed some original Machinehead in my life!!
Love the Bass tone!!!
AMAZING SOUND!
My face just melted...I have no regrets.
FIERCE AND HEAVY. THIS IS WHAT MACHINE HEAD SHOULD BE. PLEASE ROB !! RETURN TO THIS SOUND THAT CAUGHT US YEARS AGO. KONTOS IS A MONSTER
Amazing, amazing performance!
AWESOME..........JUST AWESOME!
The quality sounds instrumental and video is amazing. I love it. Thanks 😃
Flawless!! Machine fukin head all time favorites. Heavy heavy song hell yea!!!
Speechless 🤘
I love this album so much. It’s timeless.
This lineup has to do a new record together and just go back to the roots of what made this band kick ass
EXCELENTE...SALUDOS DESDE CALI, COLOMBIA!
mega epic!
Yesss!
Kontos is a legend 🤘🤘🤘
thank you so much!!!!!!!
One of their best...and still sounds great!!!
Good to see Logan with them once again!!!!
Wow,just wow.
This sounds most better than it did the first time around
