I watched your original video on this back In February and spent the next month and a half drilling it into a net out in my workshop . I believe this drill really helped me get consistent and am having one of the best seasons I've had.. Thiis is a great refresher and also serves as a great reminder! Thanks!
Eric, that comment you made about the best shot you’ve felt all day is that punch shot under a tree described me exactly. Great drill and can’t wait to get to the driving range ⛳️
Thx Eric- Very good reminder. I take lessons from Robert. He is the real deal. In this drill, I find that straightening the lead leg helps with the turn.
Thanks! That could certainly be a good feel...depending a bit on where you're coming from with your own swing👍 Here is another video on this topic you may enjoy checking out! ua-cam.com/video/wN3zdLoEihU/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
Thanx definitely see that the knuckles are down through impact. Need to remember to keep the arms straight past impact since I seem to break down after impact week on follow through.
Can't understand why I get this and it's so simple. Then - in a game - I get a head full of thoughts and bingo...one or another of the fundamentals drops off! I now know what I did wrong but the question then remains, "So, why did you?!?
Thats a great question! It would require some more digging and questions from me to you to find out WHY thats happening and provide you with SOLUTIONS for that. Many of our students struggle with the same thing and there are solutions...find good coach to work with in person or come to www.cogornogolf.com and we can solve that if you dont. Watching some of my on course videos where I talk through my pre shot routine MAY be helpful
If you can do it on the range but not on the course the answer is simple. There’s more work to do on the practice range. I normally start a round with great ball striking, it gets progressively worse into the middle of the round. Is it fatigue, distractions, mental lapses, not enough work during practice to make the changes last under pressure and hitting to a target? Probably all of the above. I find if I try to concentrate on one or two swing thoughts, one is always tempo. Not always but more times than not I can get back that ball striking from the beginning of the round.
@@daveythomas4338yeah...too often we hit a couple of buckets of balls over two sessions and don't understand why Eric's drills (or any other instructors) aren't translating to the course. You have deeply entrenched swing habits/flaws and they can only be unseated and replaced by hundreds and hundreds of repetitions of the drill or particular swing mechanic executed correctly.

👊Hope this one serves you well!

Robert is the best! Extending the lead leg definitely will help with the body rotation👍
Great explanation for me. I had it, lost it, and now I know why... I wasn't keeping the sand in the club! Thanks
Hope this helps ya get back on track!
thanks for a great drill, and fun to do also.
You got it Mike! Hope it helps!
Beautiful
Thank you!
Great stuff. Does this apply to drivers?
Thanks Randy! All clubs here!
Great video. So the key is to delay the arm fold as long as possible in a full swing?
Thanks!

Struggling with maintaining knuckles down through impact would this help?
Hey John,
This one definitely would help with your wrist angles, yes! More details here...
