I honestly thought they would build the high speed train from SG to KL.. was hoping to travel to KL... cause booking a plane ticket is a faster to travel but it gets expensive overtime..
i understand locals and Malays may have better knowledge and pick out the faults...but for someone like me in UK im impressed with the MRT plan for SGP. If only our councils and quangos could put something like this together.
Why not a straight line from JB CIQ to Marsiling MRT ,just under 2km ??. The cost of constructions would be much lower and much shorter time of train drive ??
This one have to ask Singapore government. I think they have earmarked the land at Woodlands North for some time for this purpose. I think Marsiling MRT doesnt have a suitably similar large plot for this.
I suggest you enrol for a 4-year Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering to know the difference between above ground and underground constructions, which include construction costs and durations. And I believe you will comment differently after your graduation.

The government had the reason, not because of the cost.
Most likely just because marsiling station don't have enough space for that
Still don't understand why can't make it underground across the strait underneath.
Would be faster and less construction cost.
underground construction always cost more than above ground construction
