I find unfortunate that RCE doesn’t plan ahead and it’s in constant crisis. I assume it’s for views. As an engineer I would expect him to do this type of project.
First video from this creator I have watched- liking it! Mostly stopped watching RCE. His constant adolescent penis and poop jokes might work for twelve year olds, but get old the thirty thousandth time. He has never evolved to any kind of new humor. RCE was great when he was doing quasi serious engineering with Polybridge 2.
@@dividebyzero1000 His biggest sin for me is his lack of evolving in playstyle, his cities don`t present anything new, and he is failling to address old situations like its his first time. Dude still doesn`t understand badtides? Come on. Zeddic builds cities, RCE builds videos.
@@BillyKamp Totally agree. Watching RCE offers nothing for people seriously into any game, and anymore, nothing for people interested in a blend of actual engineering and game mechanics. I cringe watching him play Timberborn- dude never stops making rookie mistakes.
I really love this Channel and the Creator has a nice voice. Soft monotone not annoying at all. Not immature just a practical guy. Making an excellent series. Great job! Been subscribed for a while
Man, you are creating the best Timberborn content out there… and I don’t think it’s even close! I have recently gone through some of your other series and they are all excellent too! Thanks for putting this out and keeping people entertained and accompanied
The main thing I have noticed when it comes to fps is that the roads eat up a lot of processing power, so making more districts and cutting unnecessary roads will help. Also planning construction by having the roads temporarily disconnected help. You can see the frames drop as you click on the paths.
That makes sense. The more paths you have, the longer the pathfinding algorithm has to run, slowing things down. I'd also suggest removing buildings you're not using so that fewer things have to be rendered. Especially the decontamination pods as they consume extract when left on
Zeddic, one thing your videos helped me realize is that I could use metal overhangs to build tunnels through a dam as I build it. It usually takes some supports to get the levees to make the tunnel waterproof, but it increases the efficiency and helps with the distance between things.
The coolest mega project I've seen on timberborn, congrats! Edit: What about raising the outside dirt wall by one, it would solve the height problem in the third floor, easiest way I think.
this reconstruction of the mountain has been so awesome! I'm curiose whats coming on top with the badwater run-offs. And how you will expand the Map next. I would love to see some monumental bridge highways running the more remote areas of the map. amusement park for the real beavers and a kind of research facility area with the new rocket world wonder
37:40 FYI, you can go to the district center to change if new workplaces default to beaver-operated or bot-operated, so you don't have to manually change each one
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year's, That was a lot for one video. You must have put in a few late nights after work. Looks great. I assume you are done posting until next year. So see you and your beavers next year.
Hey, what feature for the Next version are you more Excited about? I‘d love to See the colony be connected with transport-tubes or Junkertown be fully covered under the ground.
I didnt just enjoy watching, every time I watch a video from you i learn something about this game and how to build better and more efficient. The time you put in all of this must be insane plus making a good video out of it. Really great job!
I love your building!! :D reminds me alot of mine, but a few very interesting idea's!! I've been copying this map to better see what you're doing, and I got a good one for ya!!! You know.,.. you CAN build a sealed under water walking corridor through your water storage for the beavers to walk through.. you'll lose a little space in the storage, but a straight line through makes it quick and easy! :D Ooooh the bot town cap is TIGHT! :D
I can feel the cpu temperature through my screen haha. This project result looks absolutely gorgeous! I would sit 20 mins just to watch a tour oc your Steeltide settlement! My vocabulary feels insufficient coz I dunno how to praise what I am seeing right now. Loved when the bridges just clicked and you had a huge network running perfectly fine in a couple of minutes. The connectivity in your city overall as of now is really insane.
This is definitely the hardest I've made this game work! I think after this series is all complete I'll end with at least one walkthrough of the map with the first person mod to explore everything. I have a feeling I'll get lost in it all.
39:20 i see 2 holes in middle. you can use that as water exit (bad or clean) just for view but i just realize that is platform not overhang and i remember you can't place dirt on the top. 😅
if you put the storage in a different floor than the production, it will waste a lot of time moving resources since there isnt much communication between floors
holy moly i just discovert you and you are a gem in the youtube sceen, i dont know why you have only that littel amont of subs but you have mine, i hope you will make it far your kontaent can kompeat too the one of the real civiel engineer, its just insane ^^
Thanks! I'm looking forward to the 3D terrain the most - that's going to unlock a lot of new build options: underground tunnels, mountain fortresses, roof-top terraces, hobbit homes, and more. The tubes also look promising to help scale up 1-district builds.
Thanks! I find the terraces map on hard mode is a little tricky because there is no easy way to make a dam up river. Some tips: - Try to make a bad water diversion system early. Luckily on this map you can make one very cheap with a few levies and manual flood gates around just the water sources, letting you dump the bad water off the cliff. - Be careful of growing your population too quickly. You can keep a small colony alive and slowly progressing your economic base where a larger population might die out. - Each beaver drinks 2.2 units of water per day, so if you multiply your population by 2 and multiply by the expected number of days in a drought you can estimate how much water you would need stockpiled. - Small tanks are kind of garbage - once you can get a medium tank it is as good as 10 small tanks - Early on I found I needed to do some micro-managing to get the most out of my small colony: taking people off of pump duty when water was try or turning off lumber jacks when nothing is available to cut. Now that I'm through the worst of it I can afford to no micro-manage them any more. Good luck!
It looks brilliant. I think sectioning off junker town to be its own district will help with performance given how many roads are in this huge structure Edit: and if so where would you put the district centre, up high or down low?
20:42 just a small detail. you are not planing a stairWELL but a StairWAY. A stairWELL has a 2x3 tiles footprint (or 3x3 if around a pillar) while a StairWAY has 1x[dept+n] tiles footprint.
Hello In next episide please fix water problem and conect other water source and seperate water pumps from main center water tank and other lakes amd dams that conected to it.
TFW you scavange all the metal from an underground city to build an underground city from metal. I feel like there is an easier way to achieve the goal, but at least you're recycling

Hey, I'm not sure if you'd be interested in this, but how about adding a donation link? No judgment-I'd gladly donate a few euros to help you upgrade your hardware.
Thanks for the suggestions! Surprisingly my computer is in OK shape - I think the lag is a combination of a main district with too many paths, Timberborn being single-threaded, and me screen recording at the same time!
Holy God. This is such good work. It's always such a palette cleanser after an RCE or Biffa timberborn video.😂

I frequently break long-distance construction roads between project phases to save fps
It's such a relief to watch Zeddic and Skye Storm watching RCE and Biffa you can actually feel your brain cells dying off🤒
Crazy scope of work Zeddic! Truly impressive...Merry Christmas & Happy holidays to you!
Thanks! Merry Christmas to you too!

Stacked farms, both tree and food will be a major game changer.
I think that vertical ladders might also add options to be able to have beavers move up and down.
3D terrain is going to be big - rooftop farms, caverns, tunnels through mountains, hobbit homes: I can think of a lot of different ways to use it!
Zeddic you marvel! You really make my day when I get to watch one of these on my lunch break
Best Timberborn channel on youtube! Always look forward to these on Saturday morning.
Junker town looks so epic! Can't wait to see it finished! The civil engineering you do with pipes and electric grid is as always fun to watch!

Great work, maybe adding a new district center to separate the junker town could help with the lagg
You should add a new layer on top for the upcoming update where terrain block can be place on top of solid structures.
New favorite Timberborn content creator
you could priorize the zone around the unusable mine to make it higher and make it usable again
so much room for activities
Gimli: " And they call it a mine, huh! A MINE !" - seriously, this atrium style gives me vibes of Khazad-dum (aka. Moria)
I look forward to your weekly videos! Incredible build - your designs are so inspiring and teach me so much about how this game works.
rumour has it that update 7 will have feature of terrain on the metal overhangs , then you mountain with bot will look like a regular mountain
Your Timberborne videos are consistently some of the highlights of my week. Thanks and merry Christmas!
Thanks! Merry Christmas to you too!
Now imagine Update 7, where you can place Terrain Blocks on top of Buildings!
Awesome. Now you just need to work out a way to regain access to the two badwater sources for future use.

Fantastic. I love the atrium view.
holy crap. that looks awesome. I can't wait to see what mega project you do next
Now that was pretty sick.
such a great mega project! Love to watch it. I wish you happy holidays and happy new year, Zeddic!
Thanks! Happy holidays and a happy new year to you too!
Looks amazing!
Enjoying the series. Do you have room to add number crunchers in that new space?
The KING under the mountain!!
26:17 dead bot laying casually
This was epic, amazing work

Just got Timberborn as Xmas present!
Wow! You must be a beaver!!!
Best timberborn content ever
Maybe raise the rim of the mesa a bit so you can have the option to double stack?
Or you could sink some buildings into the floor and connect their side
this is absolutely crazy I always rush bot production first before such big projects coz u know the beavers always take away a lot of fps 🤣
holy moly i just discovert you and you are a gem in the youtube sceen, i dont know why you have only that littel amont of subs but you have mine, i hope you will make it far your kontaent can kompeat too the one of the real civiel engineer, its just insane ^^

I've been tempted to do that too. I was thinking somewhere up on the roof - maybe building it up with some additional structures and gardens.
Wow, I never knew you could waterproof power shafts with impermeable flooring. Thank you 😊. running off now to implement in my settlements.
Can you get back that extra space per level by adding a row of terrain to the Mountain sides?

the underground city is giving me Zion vibes from the matrix haha
I think using a train mod, would be more efficient than building an entire industrial area.
That was amazing
you could raise the mesa by one block to let you stack your industry
In retrospect, that would have been the easier solution!
Hello

Oh my pccccc! The episode
What about another power wheels for power on top of that?
It looks like your bots are in the hall of the mountain king
Hey can't you just add overhang on storage instead of having coloum to support them?.
He answered that in the video. Doing so will restrict him from future reorganizations if any building is acting as the base of the next floor
TFW you scavange all the metal from an underground city to build an underground city from metal. I feel like there is an easier way to achieve the goal, but at least you're recycling
