Use This Technique on Tough Fall Smallmouth Bass

Using light line and light lures can be your best technique to catch fall smallmouth when things are tough. Fish this time of year will often suspend and get tough to catch in less than ideal situtions, so I downsized to a 3/32 oz hair jig and a 1/8 oz homemade Do-It Molds Diner Shiner Screw Head with a small swimbait to catch these smallmouth.
LiveScope also played a big role in targeting these fish offshore that were roaming. These fish, especially on glacial lakes, like to suspend and roam around baitfish. Smaller lures and suspending baits can trigger them to bite when nothing else will!

So this inland lake you went to... yeah that's a tough one to fish. Was there middle of Sept. Marked an ungodly amount of fish... nothing would bite. This lake starts with an A right? Either that or the B lake over there.

I've been experimenting with that mold lately and it is a game changer. Im curious when you find the fish with livescope are they relating to some sort of offshore structure? I kayak fish mostly and fish blind but rely on my water knowledge to find fish so the whole livescope ordeal is new to me
