This song was indeed a tribute to legendary Mississippi delta blues man John Lee Hooker’s two songs ‘Boom Boom’ and ‘Boogie Chillun’ , good ear you have there as you heard John Lee Hooker playing this on the street in the Blues Brothers

The first time I ever went to Gruene Hall there was a US flag hanging from the ceiling in the center of the hall. That flag had 48 stars on it. That's how long Gruene Hall has been open and a venue for all kinds of entertainment in Texas. ❤
The house was in La Grange tx, There is a movie about it. The Best Little Whore House in Texas. Stars Bert Reynolds and Dolly Pardon.
I've seen them 24 times. They played our Nat'l Guard Armory when I was in high school. I lived close to Nashville and saw a lot of groups before they made it big. This is my favorite of theirs
