Ah it was after the zoom meeting that I realised. The woman could not actually explain the company in an understandable manner - because it does not make sense. I noticed pretty quickly and left but it’s a shame, they definitely pushed the ‘diversity’ and ‘feminist’ angle to get me.

Aside from all the lost money, MLMs destroy so many friendships. I’m avoiding a friend who got into an essential oil company. Watching this because a different friend has been sending me messages about Arbonne 🙄. Thank you so much for posting.😘

You should your friend wouldn't bring you into a scam unless they are a bad friend. You must really want it though and you must work so hard 90% you put in and only 10% back for a good while. End of the day of it didn't work for you fine but this video putting down others is just maybe the reason it didn't work for the girl. The negativity here from tbis gorl is maybe why people did not want to join. If you are giving out the impression you've been scammed then that's not a good vibration.

How is it a scam if you only pay $49 for a business and use the product you buy? and if you do not like the product you can send it back for a full refund up to 45 days plus you can send the products back EMPTY! This is a no brainer. I mean if you do not like it you did not lose much. I had a daycare business that cost me 35K to open in 2010 and I NEVER recouped that money...it is just not a lucrative business, daycare. But I pay $49 for my business and I make about the amount of my mortgage. No, I do not have any business builders. I sponsor people how they want to be sponsored. If they want to build a business or just get the deepest discount it is up to them not me. But do not blame Arbonne for consultants that do not do right. There is a code of ethics but you work for yourself and have no boss so if people wanna do wrong then they will do it regardless of what Arbonne stands for. As a B Corp now that is a trusted reliable company and that was not easy to get, I am proud of this company and what it stands for. I am sorry for your experience and wish it was different.

Not true. I'm not an Arbonne seller, I have strong ethics, and so do most of the Arbonne 'sellers' I know. Arbonne's products are of the highest quality. Yes, they are expensive, simply because they do not contain most of the cheap chemically-based fillers that other products do. It's true that they are pure, safe and beneficial. I'm so sorry that you felt scammed, Charlotte, I truly am. It doesn't sound as if you were with a good team. I do know someone in Arbonne who isn't as honest as she could be, but that is NOT everyone. Charlotte, apparently there are procedures you can take if you were scammed, as Arbonne, the company, takes these things seriously. You can complain. You can go higher. Wishing you all the best.

@@Turtletoots3 - rubbish. I'm concerned. I'm not saying anything about 'haters' or even 'haterz'!! Don't jump to conclusions without investigating & being certain of the actual facts. Charlotte sounds as if she was taken for a ride by someone who wasn't as full of integrity as she could have been. I've done the 30 days to healthy living and it wasn't easy, but it most certainly worked for me, and continues to work, as I'm on it again, since I've over-stuffed myself on snacks during lockdown. I trust its efficacy. It's not a 'diet' - it's healthy, clean eating that does work, and I don't think that Charlotte was given the full information 9probably because the person who drew her in to Arbonne was lazy and greedy. I do know someone like that, myself, and I don't trust her one bit. I tried to complain, but wasn't prepared to laugh a full on attack on her - but her 'upline' manager is aware of my concerns. Charlotte you don't know as much as you could know, bless you. You've been bamboozled - not by the Arbonne Corporation, but by an abusive woman who used you to 'promote' herself within Arbonne. I'm sorry that you don't understand the difference between Arbonne's products and the cheap stuff on the shelves that cost a fraction of Arbonne's. I'm offering my wisdom from having been a part of Arbonne, and having met MANY wonderful women within it, and one who most certainly is a manipulative scammer. Wishing all the best, Charlotte.

I seek to learn, rather than jump in with both feet, and make foolish, negative comments on something I do not quite grasp. I still buy Arbonne's products because they do NOT contain harmful chemicals, and are pure, safe and beneficial both for me and the planet. Yes, they are more expensive, but I'm paying for quality, instead of rubbish. I never even wanted any of the product, I just felt obligated to accept the invite. I finally wised up and decided that I wouldnt attend any more and it was such relief. Well done for a) seeing the light and b) being brave enough to admit you were scammed. Sadly, I've had people on my Facebook friend list who got into MLMs, and actually became rather nasty when I tried to warn them about the dangers. The trouble is that MLMs are run a bit like cults. People are roped into them by friends (or even family) who then fill their heads with nonsense about how great it is and how they can make loads of money from home. But the truth is that the recruits end up becoming the customers - because they're encouraged by their uplines to keep buying the products to build up their kit. Plus the sneaky MLMs frequently discontinue certain lines, so the recruits feel like they have no option but to buy the new stuff for their demonstrations. Often, the recruits only realise this when they see they've ended up with a garage filled with boxes of stuff that they can't sell.

I'm very proud of you for doing such a brave thing and it comes through how genuinely concerned you are about future potential victims. I hope you will do more videos about anything that you are passionate about. This is the first time I ever commented on a UA-cam video! I want people to know that I am happy that I got a chance to work with you and know personally how good a person you are and how hard working and talented you are as a performer as well. Good luck!

You made so many great points and I noticed the exact same things in the zoom meeting I had with them.
    1. Talked too much about benefits, e.g trip to Maui, White Mercedez Benz and barely spoke about the product.
    2. Couldnt really tell me what I’d be doing day-to-day
    3. They give you your own website to ‘grow your business’. It made me think: what business? i thought I was working for your company ???
    4. £30 to buy products initially. I am even too broke to afford that, so it was an immediate turn off. Also why am I paying them when I’m literally looking to get paid? If I had (hypothetically) any amount money, why should I be paying my employer?
    5. Woman I spoke to said she’s planning to leave soon (didn’t even lie) and it doesn’t work as a full time job but just ‘residual income’. I only wanted to work part time but why is your company so bad that you advise people not to work full-time with you? Alarming! A company that is allegedly worth billions...?
    6. They try the whole ‘diversity’ and ‘feminist’ angle to attract people. Exploitative
    7. Just weird. I got a weird vibe from it. No company should give you such a strange vibe when speaking to one of their representatives.
Thanks Charlotte, this is such a great video and I love your transparency about this topic ❤️

I am literally in your same exact position right now! This video was the most relatable thing I’ve ever watched and I am so glad I came across it to know I’m not the only one!! My “upline” was a coworker of mine who I genuinely considered a good friend until Arbonne happened. She has been pushing arbonne on me for months until I eventually gave in. Her and her upline put me in a group chat with several other Arbonne consultants and basically ambushed me into signing up and they used the same exact lines that everyone uses; “you’re buying these products anyway,” and what sold me was when my upline’s sponser said “the worst case scenario- you’re in the same position you’re in right now!” I was like you are so right what do I have to lose and I signed up. Well I lost $400 on silly products that I never wanted to buy in the first place I was basically manipulated and harrassed until I signed up. As I was checking out, everyone in the group chat made sure I bought skincare, makeup & nutrional products bc I wouldn’t be able to sell products that I haven’t tried myself. That’s how they got me to spend $400 when I thought I was only spending around $200 for the 30 DHL program.
Literally after 24 hours of being an independent consultant for Arbonne, I quit. I haven’t even received my shipment yet but no matter how “amazing” and “life- changing” these products are, I know I will not risk losing friendships and making myself look like a complete fool trying to scam people into this pyramid scheme.
And girl I thought the exact same thing when they were telling me that I’ll be buying these products anyway- yeah I buy $5 shampoo and conditioner not $50! So crazy and SO glad I got out of that before getting brainwashed 😅 Thank you soo much for sharing your story, I’m glad I have someone to relate to!

I never lost any weight but I did lose a ton of money as a preferred customer. I finally wised up and asked my doctor for help losing weight. I now weigh 104 pounds and have not wasted a penny in diet products for over 4 years. Bariatric surgery saved my life, and all I had to pay was one fifty dollar Co pay. One time. That's it.

I deliver MLM packages and it’s pretty funny how they say it’s the only way to make money instead of being unemployed but unemployment pays more than MLM unless you are in the top of recruit. I am risking my life during the covid-19 crisis and we have MLM users trying to convince me why it’s better than being unemployed or risking your life working during the covid-19 crisis but they are risking their own lives doing house parties.

I have a friend of a friend in arbonne and shes always raving how great it is etc. She has to buy most of the stuff herself to keep her title. Its all bogus but she keeps trying. One thing to keep in mind about any type of opportunity or business is that if they are constantly trying to convince people to do something or join its probably not a good idea. Things that are good dont need convincing! More people need to be aware of these scams! Great video 🙂

We buy from big companies... how did they convince us that their product was good? By putting out advert after advert on tv, radio, hoardings...paying billions to celebrities and advertising companies. Companies use MLM to cut out the celebrities and huge fees paid to advertising companies and use us, the public to try them and share them. Google ‘are you walking past a fortune’ it is a pdf document. Once you read it, you will understand and possibly reconsider... MLM marketing is big in US and Poland. More and more companies are getting clued up about this clever business model. The UK still reserved about it because they don’t know much about it.

If the person who ultimately wants you to buy the product won’t give you samples and let you decide for yourself if you want to move forward, it’s not the right fit. I’ll admit I’m an Arbonne Independent Consultant, but I tried the products and liked them. The people I have ended up selling to came back to me. I gave samples to some people and told them hey if you like it let me know. That’s the way I feel good about this business.

(I know my mistake but I was desperate) it’s why I don’t join mlm companies anymore, I’ve tried a few different ones thinking I’d be successful but nope. I’ve had countless girls add me and message me on social media saying how they love my profile and how much they love my positivity which is obviously scripted as I’m suffering from depression at the moment. Never again am I gonna be sucked into their game. But thank you for this video!

A few follow up points from this video:
    1) Yes, I’m now aware that The Body Shop has an MLM side to it which is disappointing as I genuinely liked their products and didn’t know this before! When I was buying their products I was getting them from the actual physical store rather than the MLM side, however I no longer use their products. Thank you to those who pointed this out to me!
    2) I did in fact speak to my friend who I recruited before sharing this video and it turns out she had the same weird feelings as I’d had. She’s no longer doing Arbonne and we’re still on good terms!
    3) If you’re trying to convince me or yourself that Arbonne’s 30 Days to Healthy Living *isn’t* a diet, please watch my video I made with registered dietitian Eve Laws where we took a deep dive into this programme. ua-cam.com/video/yZEESZcdzgc/v-deo.html

    • @susienovis9289
      @susienovis9289 3 роки тому

So if you're trying to claim that the 30 Days to Healthy living iis a diet, why did you do it? It's a clean eating programme, and yes, you can potentially lose weight, if that is what you call dieting (losing weight). If you and your 'dietitian' (not trained nutritionist) took the time to fully check it out, you would see that the cutting out of certain food that potentially could cause problems, such as flour, etc, is actually HELPFUL. Then at the end of the 30 days, you gradually introduce them, one at a time, to see how it affects you or not. I'm delighted that you are no longer promoting The Body Shop as a cheaper and better alternative to Arbonne, for their products are not better. I used to use the body shop products, until I learned better.

This is so amazing to listen to and THANK YOU ON THE PRODUCTS FRONT. I joined Arbonne and all I’ve been asked to is promote the business... for me I have always struggled with my skin and arbonne make up literally makes my skin feel amazing and it looks amazing without make up on so that’s just my experience. I wanted to SING (in fact I did I think😹😹) that i finally found products that work! So I joined Arbonne... it turns out everything I was doing was too “producty” and not enough about the business.. I’m still in it now and I cannot get my head round it. AT ALL. I have sales going through the roof because I love the products so much and I can sell them but I’m like “I don’t understand the business model because unless you have had forever shit skin and now it’s awesome I have no idea how this can help you” but of course to work your way up the ladder for some reason you need a team and so I’m not going to go anywhere regardless... its a weird one. Confuses me so bad but I don’t mind promoting something that has worked so well for me if that makes sense?

Crazy thing is I enjoy the products.. the protein mixes taste great (I've tried many brands as an avid gym goer) and reasonably priced that I bought more after my 30 days. I moved on to the make up as I used to work for a cosmetics company, still trying the makeup out . Love the natural feel & tones, so far so good! I live in sunny Southern California doesnt make my skin feel oily or greasy. SO I enjoy the products, I havent sold any products to ppl but if they ask then I'll be honest on my recommendations. ;)

Brutal comment: You described the girl from instagram who messaged you, well, one of my friends is an arbonne sales rep and she is exactly how you described this girl. Also, all the other women that seem to peddle this stuff all seem to be cut out copies of each other: bleach blonde, skinny / muscles, fake teeth and tits and usually a string of transient jobs, that probably aren't gonna provide for you long term, like personal trainer, teeth whitener, beautician...etc. They all seem to have kids they insta the sh*t out of too and usually a well to do partner that bank rolls it all. It seems to appeal to shallow people that have a del boy approach to life. Get rich quick bs schemes. I am glad that you have been honest about your insecurities, as I think a lot of these women selling this stuff have poor self image and obsess about being 'perfect' like some woman off a real housewives show.

I really appreciate you sharing your story, and I hope it will reach people who are contemplating joining any MLM.
You should know, though, that crash-dieting (which you seem to understand as dieting) is not the same as dieting. You being vegan *is* a type of diet, it is very much a restrictive type, too. Losing weight is a lifestyle change that includes dietary changes (yes, caloric intake will make up about 70-80 percent of how much one weighs) as well as other lifestyle changes that will make it sustainable long-term. "Diets don't work", IMHO, is not the best message, especially when obesity is becoming a worldwide health problem and kills more and more people.

    • @charlottenaomi3
      @charlottenaomi3  4 роки тому +1

Thanks for your comment. I understand your point, however I think it’s pretty clear in my video that I’m talking about crash-dieting, rather than someone’s diet. I personally think the word diet is so synonymous with crash-dieting that I prefer to say I’m anti-diet. Of course obesity is a widespread and serious problem in developed countries, however I personally would say that implementing lifestyle changes is a much better long-term approach to healthy weight loss than dieting. I’ve actually made a more in-depth video on the 30DHL and dieting, so please feel free to watch that :)

How could anyone make you feel bad about your appearance?? You are a legit 10. It's also obvious that you're honest and a great person with good intentions, which adds to your beauty. Love your voice too. 🙂

Great video. I have always been anti mlm. I had a good friend who joined beachbody, then another mlm. With the pandemic, people are getting sucked in even more. There are lots of anti mlm you tube videos but you came over really naturally. Well done on getting out when you did!

Many MLM companies sell overhyped and overpriced products ( mainly American). This is literally the acid test when looking for a good MLM company and they do exist. Can you sell their products to the general public on a repeat basis. Anyone can sell a product once sometimes even twice but after that you'll realise that sales diminish and you basically become the customer. Good products at good prices can be sold regularly and sales actually increase.

Very informative and entertaining. As you saw, the emphasis is not on the products but on the recruitment with these MLMs. At least it's a great lesson learned, and you can spread the word and maybe help someone else caught up in such a scheme. All the best for your future endeavours. X

Great video. Well done for getting out, sorry to hear about your friend, I'm sure she'll come round. Your video has helped me. I was contacted by someone via LinkedIn, and was surprised they'd chosen me as I'm nearly 50! Fortunately I said no a few times before they actually gave up. Thanks for posting.👍🏻
