love foxgloves
I planted hundreds of foxgloves. I started them from seed in February. Excelsior and Foxy. Should have a nice show next spring.
Woot woot!! Looks great guys! Can’t wait to see the actual bloom stalks 🌺🌸🌷🌹🌼
Wow….those foxgloves are so healthy and green…..so enjoyed your video. 😊
Amazing!! 😮 So excited to see them bloom.
I absolutely love foxgloves! Your garden is going to look amazing. Last year a grew the Dalmatian Peach variety from Johnnys Seeds and they were gorgeous. I planted them about 12 inches apart and they looked great and attracted many, many pollinators. This year I am growing Foxys and about 10 Dalmatian Peach seeds I still had from last year. I wasn't sure if those were going to germinate since I have read that pelleted seeds should be used within a year and that germination rate is poor after that. But they germinated pretty well and I just transplanted them into the ground about 3 weeks ago. I cant wait to see yours flower this year. Keep us posted please. 🌱💚
Don’t want to be a negative Nancy but I’m growing several of the same variety I winter sowed the seeds and those plants are going to get HUGE!! I would probably space them farther apart. Would like to add I’m also in NC zone 8a. And congratulations on your future nuptials.!!
I have read that they need to be spaced apart 12"-24" to allow room for the leaves. If you have them too close together, both of them won't bloom together the following year.
Great job! I planted some seeds for next year hopefully it will bloom! Congrats 🍾 on the wedding!
Wow 40 foxgloves!!! I’m gonna try to grow foxgloves next year…also what arborvitae did you guys plant by the fence? Your black fence with arbs is my inspo for my backyard…. Thanks😊!
