This video is a very good example of how to go about posting a true to the title non clickbait content. Compliments to the uploader.. also subscribed & belled!

That Sphinx Observatory is absolutely astonishing and currently sits near the top of my ever-expanding 'bucket list!' Everything about that place boggles the mind, from the construction project itself, to the extreme remoteness and incredible views, to its state-of-the-art sky surveying equipment. Definitely one of the coolest structures we've ever created though, in my opinion.

Very interesting, I recognise the light house from the BBC pre show adverts and as you pointed out, the Eso Hotel from the Bond film, never knew it had that dome in it though. I love how it sits into the landscape with its flat face looking like a wall, it’s hard to explain why that is so beautiful to me.
This was a very interesting video. The story behind those buildings are very interesting. Being in such remote locations make the buildings aesthetics stand out to the eye.

It gets progressively more comfortable as you go from the first pod to the last, it's really cool. There's a website that allows you to tour a 360 view of the entirety of the interior, including that club area. It's really cool, and as someone who has always wanted to work in Antarctica, the fact that I'm not British means I can only dream of working at Halley

The Svalbard Seed vault is hardly remote! It is located only a few miles from the thriving town of Longyearbyen, which has a permanent population of over 2000 people, as well as a functioning International airport with regular commercial flights
I think he probably included it because it was designed to be remote and, although it's relatively close to civilization compared to other things on this list, it's still fairly far away that it's no longer under threat of direct bombardment, and the vault itself is built to withstand virtually anything that doesn't directly damage it.
I was in Tash Rabat. It is a remote place indeed but you can get there by car actually. It's just day and a half trip from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan's capital.
Technically the Svalbard seed vault is not very remote. I mean, the island of Svalbard is very remote, but the seed vault is very close to the airport and to Longyearbyen.

Keep a diary.
You missed the Canadian Forces Base of Alert, on the northern tip of Ellesmere Island. I believe it is the most northern permanent structure of the world. It is manned 365 days/year by about 50 militaries and scientists. Check that out!

Yep about 100 metres from the airport and about 300 metres from the campsite and a 1 km from the town!

Thank you! One of my cousins was stationed there for 6 months while he was in the army. Isolation pay wasn't enough to get him to go back.

Ive been to the observatory in switzerland! The trip on the railway was almost cooler and more amazing than the view from the observatory itself.
