Fantastic! I had a call from someone and let it go to vm, no interruptions. Yes, for years before I knew you or Randyland I would ride my bike and stop and look at those cones and I was a peeker. I too love nostalgia. You mentioned ice milk and ice cream but what was custard? I remember Kohrs serving custard, is that the same mix as ice cream using a different name? I found this so informative I will watch it again. The weigh station was an ugly experience and I hope they improved that. Then the problems with the coils and the cost of that. I hope you got a return on your investment but even if you didn't financially your dad got to do what he loved doing and you gave people memories when they talk about those colossal cones today. Yes money is needed to survive but you were selling memories of a time that is part of countless memories for people. Happiness and contentment count more than money sometimes. I do remember the hot fudge episode but not the other one you mentioned. You are correct, our childhood experiences are our foundation and I find myself playful and childlike at times and people respond to me. We are people pleasers and that gift is priceless. Thank you soooo very much for this episode. My favorite because I had a connection peeking at those cones years before and asking questions about them and just loving the nostalgia they brought and still bring to me.
I love this story! Thanks for sharing . I run a southern snow trailer at events here in ohio so this was a story I was very interested to hear being that I serve cold treats in the summer .
Serious question - Why not sell some of these things? Not bashing you at all, just curious. I get that you have sentimental attachments to many items (and rightfully so), but if all this is in a storage spot that gets lost. I very much enjoy your videos and the history of your stuff, and really enjoy fascination and your retro arcade. Keep up the great work!
What did I do to get blocked from your Facebook? I patronized your business, purchased your comic book AND all your other books, and always spread word of your business both in person AND online in various groups. Essentially I’ve been nothing but supportive toward you. What an ugly way to treat someone in return. No wonder you lead such a lonely, bitter, and hateful existence. Very sad..
I must have missed the "supportive" part when I read this; "you own 2 omnibuses you cannot operate other than for non-profit causes. You nave a building you own that cannot be used for amusement purposes since it is off the boardwalk. Either the monopoly man is loaning you tons of cash, you are the best bank robber ever, or you have some sort of trust fund that is setup through your inheritance. Ifthis is not the case you would be living next to Blacky.."
Your Father was the greatest operator of those machines at Seaside Heights. Great to have experienced Golden Days.
This was a very entertaining episode Randy!
Randy, thank you so much for sharing your stories.
I love your stories. My parents always complained about the ice cream being full of air on the boardwalk.
I remember your dad running the ice cream machine outside flippers

As a Swede I appreciate you trying to create a Swedish style ice cream brand in the USA haha
Great video
Bought plenty of ice cream from you.
As you should

I saved these treasures to preserve a special way of life...
I didn't save them to sell them.
It is an act of preservation
@@MainStreetRANDYLAND Fair enough! I understand completely and hope they can be used at some point. Keep up the great work!
