I haven’t watch it yet cause it’s 5:30 in the a.m. and I’m on my way to go fishing but let me tell you, you can bet your FXR 21 that I’ll be watching it when it gets 100 degrees outside😂
Great Video !!!! So many terms these days. Your channel is very educational and thanks for going over content that most people are not talking about. Like your rigging and fishing style techniques are very helpful. And your proposal video had me, my wife and youngest 15 year old daughter crying with a smile. LOL That was by far the best ever. Continue to keep it real and thanking God for our blessings.
I'll take a minute to interpret what the "dock guy" said... He said he put a cricket in water. He was amazed that an amphibian came up and ate it while he was laying down. What's there to understand in fishing terminology?? easy. lol. sweet video as always brother!God bless!
I remember shore fishing in Texas about 4 or 5 years ago and this highschool kid was launching his boat alone around sunset. I asked if he was going bass fishing and he said he was just going to mark some laydowns for a tournament he had coming up. I was thinking, "you're going to what the what?" That kid was Tyler launching off of Quinlan Park in Lake Austin!
Hey!!! What types of stuff should I be fishing as far as cover, structure, parts of the lake, and lures in Missouri’s lake of the ozarks during pre spawn I am getting ready to fish the big bass bash
Thank you for your videos Tyler. I’m new to fresh water wishing and your videos have been super helpful! Can I ask: what program, app, or website do you use to get the topo info on this lakes and rivers?
I dont have a boat. I do all of my fishing on the bank. What is the best way to find grass cover, rocks, and timber that is in the water that you can't see. Also, the best app to get to see the depth of the water.
I live in Southern Louisiana, I have limited access to equipment, and I fish in a drainage canal in the middle of a busy street. I do bank fishing with no electronics, and I prefer something simple, but if something more complex is necessary, I can do that.I also have no idea what the forage is, and there is almost no cover or structure. The canal is 100% straight, with about 30 yards of RipRap. What have you got for me?
I’d throw a black and blue thunder cricket VERY slow and maybe a chartreuse spinnerbait SLOW. Also, pound test depends on what cover I’m fishing, what my rod power and action are, and depth, all combining for the best hook set potential, castability, and fishability. You’ve got a lot to learn and I’m here to help!
This is amazing. Thank you bro. Here in Birmingham, AL definitely learned a lot and I have some spots to go back and fish. I was afraid of loosing my lures fishing by fallen trees, now I know that the fish hang out there.
TylersReelFishing You should set up one! I’m sure many would send you things including myself. You really should dude, so many people love your channel and you’re so helpful
Its so funny back when i was younger i would see grass or matts and id be like oh i cant fish this theres no fish here lol to now i see grass im like ohhh ya frog time lol
This is your best video by far. I almost skipped over it in pursuit of learning something I've been needing to instead of fishing terms with my time. But this video was much much more than that. I'm happy I was more open minded to it being possible of educating me the slightest bit none the less. I feel like if not every dang question I ever had was completely laid out, bam, right in front of me for how ever long this video was. I sat here and took all that in. The video shows your talents in many ways beyond fishing and professionalism. It shows the dedication and time you've taken to develop into something of informational value or worth and compliments you being of young age still.
Getting back into fishing lately I notice many UA-camrs calling artificial lures ‘bait’. I have only considered bait as being something alive such as minnows, worms or crickets. OR some concoction such as ‘catfish bait’. What’s up? Did anglers change the definitions?
You are totally correct that we conflate the terms “bait” and “lure”. Not sure when that happened in the industry vernacular but it did. I am trying to separate them again but it’s hard to break old habits
I know you don’t have em down in Texas, but do you have any tips on avoiding pike? I’m in northern IL and if I use anything besides finesse I just keep getting pike and I wanna shoot for the bigger bass with things like a glide bait or a 6XD but I keep getting pike. Also great video!
Don’t throw a Spinnerbait haha. I think you just have to 1. Learn to live with them, or 2. Learn what their bite feels like, cause it usually is different
TylersReelFishing thanks for the tips! Hahah yeah I don’t even try spinners because I know I’m more likely to catch a snakey pike than a bass around here. Guess I just gotta deal with it
On the that note, I know people that go fishing for Northern Pike here in Minnesota. You can catch a 30 incher on a big sloppy spinner, and the fight is fun. Best way to catch big bass is to go South 😁
John Caputo yeah I know a lot of people who are fans of targeting pike but something about it just isn’t for me but to each their own hahaha. Guess I’m still gonna try to catch the bigger bass around me and just work around the pike while I’m going but thanks!
I had one question that I didn’t her you mention. I love “hopping” a jig and it’s hands down one of my favorite ways to catch bass but what is the difference of “hopping” a jig or “stroking” a jig?
I enjoyed watching this. Good information Tyler. I always have been confused with terms like creek channels, ledges, points etc. All the lakes around me in Michigan seem to be natural and bowl shaped. I sometimes have a hard time finding "structure".
What lures do you recommend me at a lake in Southern Ontario Canada? I am fishing in June. In this lake there are weeds and there are rock at the bottom. The fish are all the types of bass. The forage is bluegill, craw fish and shad.
Since this video is so long, don't forget to use the playbar on the video to choose which terms you want to learn about!
TylersReelFishing great tips👍👍

Secondary points with creek channel right up against it, boat docks if its been sunny for days, steeper bluffs if it gets colder
Thanks!!! Love your videos keep it up

You deserve at least 5 million subs
Thanks Ethan!

Hey Tyler Awesome video but what the heck dose getting on pad mean while driving a boat?
I’ll explain that in a boat terminology video
Oh alright sweet.

What’s water temp?
@@TylersReelFishing Pretty warm, especially this time of year. Also, the water is absolutely filthy. BTW, what pound fluorocarbon do you use?
I’d throw a black and blue thunder cricket VERY slow and maybe a chartreuse spinnerbait SLOW. Is it me or does he look like Jon b and peric
No, I look like myself. Not like those two guys
Tyler with any chest rig go pro footage...you use 24, 30, or 60p?
Also you should put more up on your music channel. Solid stuff man.
60, and planning on it this fall!

You are by far the most helpful youtube fisherman I've ever watched.
That’s what I’m talkin bout
The opening line sounded like you were quoting The Connor Whisenant😂
Lolol
FANTASTIC video! Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much!
You should do the Texas UA-cam fishing challenge again
With different non-googans
I had one question that I didn’t her you mention. I love “hopping” a jig and it’s hands down one of my favorite ways to catch bass but what is the difference of “hopping” a jig or “stroking” a jig?
Stroking is a HUGE hop of like 2-3 foot off the bottom. Mostly done offshore for ledge fishing
TylersReelFishing ok thanks for the help man!!
I enjoyed watching this. Good information Tyler. I always have been confused with terms like creek channels, ledges, points etc. All the lakes around me in Michigan seem to be natural and bowl shaped. I sometimes have a hard time finding "structure".
That’s cause theres probably not a whole lot of it in your lakes. Rocks, if anything will be the only structure
And grass
What lures do you recommend me at a lake in Southern Ontario Canada? I am fishing in June. In this lake there are weeds and there are rock at the bottom. The fish are all the types of bass. The forage is bluegill, craw fish and shad.
Ned rig, Ned rig, Ned rig😂 Also a little swimbait
@@TylersReelFishing What ned rig soft bait sould I use with the ned rig. Also I was wondering if by swimbait you meant a soft plastic or a solid one.
