- Welcome to this English lesson about New Year's Resolutions. If you didn't know, a resolution is a promise that you make to yourself to do something different in your life. Do you have a New Year's resolution? I hope so. A New Year's resolution is a plan or promise that you make at the start of the new year. A lot of people make them, but I think that less people keep them!
In this English lesson I'll help you learn over 35 of the most common resolutions that people make at the start of the year.
You'll learn phrases like: lose weight, exercise more, spend more time with family, eat less, read more, spend more time with friends, eat healthy, reduce stress, cut out sugar, get outside more, reward yourself, take care of yourself, and more!

I really appreciate your efforts to make English lessons for us. It's very beneficial to me. It would be really great if you teach us about social media or new tech terms. When I communicate with other people, I have a hard time expressing my thoughts and opinions using the terms like video chat, video conference, instagram, blogs, self driving cars etc.

My New Year's resolution to be more focused on my education. A lot of time I spend watching some useless videos that makes my concentration overwhelmed. Btw, I don't play computer games but the phone addiction is extremely awful. Besides, it shall not hurt to sleep more, to eat fruits instead of candies. God bless us, I guess
