You must understand that the tours he did with his brothers was 100% live. The Bad Tour Asian Leg was 100% live, the Bad Tour Use Leg was almost 100% live He need to care himself, to don't loss his voice and it's ok, the Dangerous Tour is 50% live anyway

This is excellent , i could never understand why he could sing SIM or YANA live considering he did it with She's Out of my life with such ease and power. Even the backing singers were lip synching to MJ backing vocals on History , he clearly did not give a damn with that tour it was literally phoned in. I saw him twice once in Liverpool 1988 and Glasgow 1992 and he definetly sung live apart from the later songs and it was very obvious . Black or White was def mimed as was the first song. History Tour must have been horrendous for him to sing just 3 songs
In History he had health issues, if you see the royal concert you can notice he was struggling to sing live and not sound good, but when he focused on sing instead of dance sounds soo good as he did in the final part of earth song. He can sing SIM of course, but if you check the amateur audio, you can heard he was struggling singing the ending. Just heard carefully when he tries to sing "I'm living lonely" sounds like "I'm living lo... I'm living lonely baby" the difference between the album and his vocals are so prominent, so is probably that michael not was pleased with his live vocals.

On a history tour, he interacted with an audience in a different manner more natural and relaxed at least that's an impression I got. Also, listen to the triumph tour recording.

The Jackson's tours are a different story, because that was before michael became a complete solo artist, before he could make his own decisions with his music and his shows. He took full advantage of that. That's what he would focus on in his solo concerts. The Jacksons' concerts were of much lower production quality, compared to the bad tour. So, he probably had to interact with the audience more to make it more entertaining.
