      It’s not about the price it’s about the preference and being safe, comfortable, and efficient is the key. I do appreciate a practical set up with room to grow.

    Milwaukee fastback, Lenox 6” and 8” Quick-Adjust pliers (they’re just like the Irwin pliers you got), Klein 11-1, and a small Fenix flashlight

    Really like your setup. Pipefitter , I carry a multi tool a box cutter sharpie , pencil and pen and a mini 2/1 screwdriver.

      Thanks! what multi tool do you carry? I've been looking at a few,
      I also carry a box cutter in my service bag and extra blades empty tic-tac containers are good to keep extra blades in.

    For uears I've carried a Leatherman Charge with a bit set and a ratcheting extension. The extension will do 1/4" and I keep a 5/16" nut driver bit in the extension. Add a small (4" - 6") Crescent wrench and a good flashlight and you can get a lot done on the spot. The little pair of "dogs" you carry, with the pipe gripping jaws, are also an excellent option. I did over 40 years of electrical/mechanical industrial maintenance and I think your on the right track.

      Thank you for your feedback 40 years is a long time in the trades veteran feedback always appreciated ! I'm sure you've learned allot I'm about 13 years in residential maintenance I'm always learning something new.
      A bit set is a good idea thinking about getting a pocket size set myself just for commons and a few odd sizes.

    • @Cubestone
      @Cubestone 4 місяці тому +1

      @@SIR_TOOLS You're welcome. The Leatherman set-up is nice because of the variety of bit shapes (hex, Robertson, torx, Philips, flat) all on a card about the size of a business card. Combined with the ratcheting extension you climb off the ladder a little less, and have one hand to hang on with while ratcheting out a fastener.

    I work warehouse, but i kinda wanna be the maintenance guy there. carry a box opener. knipex pliers. keychain multitool for a flat head, arkfeld light, field notes pen and sharpie. i recently got the arkfeld and been throwing it on my hat brim for a quick head lamp when i go in trailers and look under shelving. but thats a cool set up for the klein screwdriver. i may look into that set up.

    I work at a relatively big property, I do maintenance at a university for student housing so I carry my Klein backpack with a lot more stuff because it sucks when you have to run down three flights of stairs because you forgot a tool, but the bigger sized vice grip Erwins are like my go to favorite tool Wish I could carry what I used just in my pocket. Good content though.

    • @SIR_TOOLS
      @SIR_TOOLS  5 місяців тому

      I understand that that the last property I was at I had to carry a huge bag and still ended up running back to the golf cart or shop for stuff . I prefer the bigger pliers but unfortunately they don't fit in my pocket very well but definitely have a pair in my tool bag I've been using since 2016 still going strong.

    Mine is complicated. Depends on the work of the day. I run my own business doing residential and commercial HVAC, refrigeration, restaurant equipment and appliances, electrical, and plumbing. I keep multiple tools by my door and just grab a few as i get out depending on what I'm there to troubleshoot and repair. I'm a big Klein fan.

    • @SIR_TOOLS

      @@SIR_TOOLS It's awesome, no crawlspaces. Except for ceiling crawlspace. Mostly when working on top of cooler and freezer boxes above a drop ceiling. Restaurants are super demanding. If something is down, there loosing money. Not just uncomfortable like residential HVAC. When it breaks, you gotta go now or the next guy gets your job. Plenty of overtime work too.

    Carried a similar set of tools for 7 years as maintenance assistant in a big corporate officebuilding.
    Foldable Trapez utillity knife
    knob bitdriver with ratchet
    bit extender that doubled as crosshandle for the bitdriver
    bitkit
    Leatherman Blast
    wooden foldable ruler and pen

    Dope load out! Just a suggestion you could swithcout the 7 in 1 side of your ratchet screwdriver with the 3/8s side so you aren't doubling up on 5/16 nut drivers and you have an extra 3/8s nut driver

    • @SIR_TOOLS
      @SIR_TOOLS  5 місяців тому +1

      That's a great idea plus the ballast in the kitchen lights are 3/8 so that would make more sense than having another 5/16 on that side. Thanks!

    I dont know what it is with amwricans and carrying those innefficient knives for engineering of construction work when a stanley knife is so much more practical, cheaper and has replacable blades and storage in the knife for extra blades. Im sure its just showing off at this point " ooh look at this knofe i have"

      I understand where your coming from people in america like to show off and brag but this knife was only $7.00 it was on sale it's a very inexpensive pocket knife as is that's why I like to carry it at work its cheap to replace I don't own expensive knives as knives are expendable.
      I understand how annoying the attitude is in america I live here lol I try to be a humble person most of my tools I've purchased on sale or through some sort of promotion but thanks for the input
