-Use Epres pre shampoo followed by Living Proof Triple Conditioning Complex as a leave in post shampoo and conditioner.
-Pre-treat with Coco & Eve Bond Building (this is SURPRISINGLY amazing! Highly recommend the CoCo & Eve bond buider. I didn't give it enough love in the video...It leaves the hair incredibly soft, silky and shiny when used pre-shampoo/conditioner!) and then leave-in Living Proof Triple Bond Complex.
All of these can be used alone of course. No need to double up. I just own them all so I decided to test different combos :))

I fell in love with K18 this year. I just find it so much easier to use than Olaplex so I am able to be more consistent. At first I was using way too much because you have to use it on wet, *unconditioned* hair and my hair is so tangly. But after I found the method of emulsifying it in the hands and scrunching it in like a mousse, it’s magic. I actually have to stop myself from using it every time. The price is outrageous though. 😅

      I’m giving it another go.
I am sure I tried it properly when I first got it (when it first came out-I bought it at the pro beauty supply) but I bet I always put other leave-ins with it 🤔 because my hair is SO NOT good without conditioner (but I know I should have trusted the process!!!)

I wasn’t too sure of k18 either due to the need to clarify and not use conditioner. However k18 has said that for dryer or more damaged hair types you can let the product process for 4 minutes and then rewet and condition/mask the hair like normal. That really gave me the best results because I got the strengthening from the k18 and the conditioning from my other products. So far its given me better results than Olaplex but its less intuitive.

I don’t do chemical services but I have fine Afro textured hair and I agree with the double bonding; I use olaplex as pretreatment & Amika the Kure as a leave in. Thank you for the epres recommendation; I will look to use & hopefully have the same success you’ve had!

Looking forward to trying these products. I used Olaplex for awhile and got nice results at first. Some of their later products broke my head out and I felt like there were just too many things and not all were good. I have been getting great results from using a mask and heated cap as you suggested. My hair is just super fragile and fine, so gotta help prevent breakage!

  • @martham7198

Perfect timing! These are all more affordable than k18. I was just about to purchase k18 during sephora sale but think I’ll try one of these instead. Olaplex 3 was my go to bond treatment but made wash routine too long. I like k18 but it’s so expensive. After I reached out to K18 and told them when I use as directed, my long hair didn’t feel properly conditioned and it was hard to comb through without using detangler, k18 told me to shampoo, apply k18, wash out after 4 minutes and then apply deep conditioner or mask. That process worked much better for my hair but not well enough to justify $75.

I had the same experience, so I shampoo, towel dry, apply K18, wait 4 or more minutes, apply olaplex mask over the K18, give that a few minutes and rinse. I learned this process from the K18 rep during a training class. I love it!!

I have the Living Proof, K18, and epres. I'll repurchase the Living Proof again, but not the K18 just because I feel it's way overpriced and I get equal if not better results with Living Proof. I wrote a lengthy review on Amazon comparing the pricing of K18 to the most expensive luxury brands of hair products like Augustinus Bader , Oribe, Kerastase, Olaplex etc. and K18 is more expensive per ml than any other brand.
I'm on my third treatment with epres. I use a clarifying shampoo before every repairing treatment to help remove styling products. Malibu Undo Goo, Biolage Clean Reset, Living Proof detox shampoos are my favs.
I wash the epres out the next morning with my normal hydrating shampoo. Once I wash it out I don't see any lasting benefits. While it's in my hair it makes it very silky and detangled as if it's a lightweight oil. To make epres go farther I use half the amount of water and epres and it's still plenty of product dripping wet. I have fine waist length hair. If you have super thick hair you'll need the entire amount. I'm now leaving it in as a styling products since it tames and smooths my frizzy poofy hair like nothing else and makes it look super shiny.

    • @mostcreative3680
      @mostcreative3680 Рік тому +1

From my experience the advertising is a bit misleading because it doesn’t exactly repair bonds directly. The abc line is just intensely conditioning and seals the cuticle shut due to the ph of the products, thereby making the hair feel and look healthier. It also is more preventative than directly treating broken bonds.
It will 100% improve the texture and elasticity of your hair from its first use but once you stop from my experience you lose most if not all of your results. 🫤

I feel like I find the Acidic Bonding line to be a really great , gentle clarifying treatment more than anything for my fragile, bleached hair than anything which is interesting because it isn't advertised that way .
Especially if you do the whole line.. it's a lot of citric acid in the ingredients which I find can shift or lift hair dye or staining.
I particularly love using the pre-wash followed by the Shampoo and then using a different conditioner, followed by either Olaplex #6 or K18 as a leave in after detangling.
It leaves my hair very bouncy and smooth for a couple of days without feeling " stripped" and too dry.
It's definitely pulled old toner out of my hair so I will continue to use the Redken Acidic that way when I feel that I have too much build up or want to remove toner.
I haven't seen any lasting effects beyond that.
The Acidic conditioner was horrible for me and the leave in is a take it or leave it.
Like K18, I feel like less is more with the Acidic leave in.
I have had great results with K18 with breakage around my bangs but I definitely have to follow it up with a leave in and use it sparingly because it can make my hair feel dry and weighed down if I use too much of it, much like having too much protein left over in the hair.
I'm definitely going to try out the Epres!
Mostly because it's seems like it might be a good overniggt product for the ends of my extensions without wasting any very expensive K18 or Olaplex!

I did something differently a few days ago and saw major changes instantly. Your explanation just now made me understand what my hair was lacking and it made sense given that I did something that you mentioned which actually solved the problem. When the words "bond building" are mentioned there is danger in misunderstanding what that means. It needs to be clear that it's not one (or even two) dimensional. You explained just that. I see so many reviews but their hair is always long and they want “softer” hair, mine doesn’t need help with being soft! It’s healthy there’s just not enough of it and strengthening would be great.

After watching this video I ordered Living Proof Triple Bond Complex 45ml from Amazon it’s arrived yesterday. It’s not sealed in any plastic just in its paper packaging and I opened the bottle and it stinks 😷 as it were rancid or musky or just went bad like products after 12/18/24 months after using them first. The ingredients list says there’s perfume/fragrance in it however the one I got? Bah! Or am I just smelling the castor oil in it? I have hypersensitive nose just like a police dog 🐕 or a wine taster. I’m thinking about returning it immediately with Amazon Prime. What do you think?
Also there’s a great sale on Amazon for the professional version of K18 the Repair Mist 150ml & the Leave-In mask 150ml are both 60€! Ordered them together with the K18 Detox Shampoo and the Living Proof TBC. However I think I’m ain’t putting any stinky stuff into my hair…

Hello I am a licensed cosmetologist, you should always verify if the seller is authorized by the product creator to sell that product. There are many fake and out of date products being sold by unauthorized sellers. Then unlicensed people are complaining unjustly against the product creators, because of this.

I put Olaplex leave in the conditioner after leaving K18 on for at least 4 minutes. Trouble is my hair is so fine I have to wash it daily or every other day.
