Binge watching (and sharing) and am thoroughly entertained by Alex Mendham and His Orchestra. He was recommended by a UA-camr PAX41 whose videos present 1920s to 1940s music from his own collection of records. So very interesting and entertaining to hear a modern day band play so many 1920s and 1930s songs. Job well done! 🎶💕🎶
There are many who endeavor to duplicate a particular genre, and for whatever reason they fall short of the goal. Not this time around. If you like Bennie Moten, Isham Jones, etc., this band absolutely nails it. Job well done!
Dave Parsons Hi Dave, I really mean these project of an old fashined band is marvelous! But some pair of glasses of some musicians should be more retro style! I'm thinking like a filme producer or director that should show people authenticity in the picture!. But in general these big band is great!
Love the lindy (or jitterbug) dancing. I was a trained working dancer (jazz and tap) for over 30 years, but I could never do this type of dancing unless it was choreographed. I couldn't just let go and swing like that.
@Nick Charlton 😂 What a great come back. I have just learned this week about Alex Mendham and His Orchestra and am greatly enjoying all the videos featuring their performances. They are indeed very entertaining and exhibit lots of class!
Danke den hervorragenden Musiker und dem herrlichen Damen Trio 😊❤
Now this is REAL SHOWMANSHIP, and Real TALENT 🎶🎵
A hundred years after this kind of music was first popular, it remains some of the best ever composed.
Indeed!

Who said the British dont know how to let their hair down? We still have the Best Dance Bands in the World.
Take this from a Yank who KNOWS music: whoever would say such a thing knows NOTHING! Ray Noble, Ambrose, Jack Hylton, Billy Cotton...the list goes on!
@@SuperIliad Indeed so! The British dance bands of the 1930s are amazing! Add Lew Stone, Geraldo and Henry Hall to your list!
@@timefortea1931 The British foxtrot bands never fail. Thank Heaven for recordings and films.
@@SuperIliad Indeed so John!
Love it Alex!!
Very nice recreation of those Roaring 20's. Nice sound and good image! Congrats from your colleagues the Lucky Duckies from Lisbon!
