I went to Reykjavik without knowing Olafur would be there, I was outside this building looking at the lake when Olafur appeared. He said to me "If you had come earlier 1hour I would had invited you in, we just recorded the last song for Island songs". Bad luck I guess :/, but he's such a great guy. Beautiful song as usual...Don't ever stop doing music please. Cheers from Portugal.

He's kind of a master of chord progressions. He's also a master of not overdoing it and not rushing.
Just simple and perfect. Evokes all emotions.
When I first listened to it, I was like "man it reminds me of something else" Took me 3days to find out, it sounds a lot like the ending of Bastille - Oblivion (Live At Capitol Studios)...
somehow those notes make this song transform from something simple into a complex, evocative, and unforgettable piece.
The music progression is just mesmerizing. No rushes, no panicking, just play calm

This song is the only song that has EVER made me cry. I'm 16 years old, and life is starting to become stressful, but this song makes it all better, and I feel so many emotions simultaneously when I listen to it. This song is beauty in its finest form, and I will never get sick of this song.

well i would actually. just because he isn't as widely known, doesn't mean he isn't as good. and besides, mozarts music was mainstream at the time. he had the advantage of a naturally larger audience. with arnalds however, the genre is the same yet it is in less popularity. keep it up ólafur, your music is brilliant and makes me proud to be icelandic :))
