Many of the most gifted players don't know how to push themselves to their limits because they've never had to. If you're dedicated and work hard you'll surpass many of the players that are in front of you right now 💪🏼🧠
love these drills...I can see how you can turn one yard of play into 10+ yards just by adding other elements to running...great athletes they just did it....
Mannn yo I remember watching this man videos around my 2017 season at Kennesaw State University to help me get right. I would've loved to train with this guy 💯
I was a college level sprinter a long time ago. Glad to see most of the drills we did are still being used. Lots of turnover and stride work in this video. That was the fun part. Wind sprints and hill/slope work sucked.
Barnard thank you for all the information you have as HP trainer it helps me a lot please set a taekwondo speed and strength training video. Love form PAPUA NEW GUINEA
Excellent tutorial! I am an amateur long-distance runner and just happened to discover running drills while looking into techniques for improving my speed. I plan to inspire my training from this. Thank you!
This is a Great Video.. I definitely needed this.. I'm definitely implementing these in my workouts.. I'm definitely fixing my Form.. so many great Tips
One of the hardest thing I find is to engage the gluts 100% because we tend to use our quads instead. One can tell if a runner is using the gluts 100% by observing whether his/her hips are high or not.
many people need it ,whether catch or push and kick .because this is training which going to improve stamina like response to reaction of game ..remember wear shoes .then hit and run guy.. that you need it ..after that all kind you name...
For all those who want to know the truth - These exercises can be at best called ‘contextual exercises’ or ‘postural & mechanical awareness’ exercises. They are of course not useless... GREAT for developing good habits regarding technical execution and promoting optimal movement mechanics. BUT even any fast running below 95% of the actual top speed one is able to achieve WILL NOT TRANSLATE into any incremental increase in top speed. Anyone who thinks and believes they are going to get faster, by doing drills at speeds of 2-5 m/s, is strongly mistaken. The forces are NOWHERE CLOSE, the timing is completely different, the extremely reflexive nature of muscle contractions is not there, limb velocities & angulations are completely different, etc. You can be a drill master & still get smoked by people who go ACTUALLY RUN MAXIMALLY FAST frequently, even though their sprinting may look sloppy in comparison. Not bashing anyone here, just sharing this so athletes don’t continue to mislead themselves.
Thanks for your insight. However you can't take things out of context and draw conclusions. I'm sharing one portion of training. We are working to train efficient patterns here. These drills merely reinforce those motor patterns. What you don't see is the integration process where we perform maximal sprints transitioning from acceleration to top speed after performing these drills. Now if you have watched any of my other full videos or seen any programs you would know that.

One of the best coaches at teaching speed. Besides track and field coaches
Beautiful to see how sports like track and football can be so collaborative with workouts. Fast twitch muscles & power.
love these drills...I can see how you can turn one yard of play into 10+ yards just by adding other elements to running...great athletes they just did it....
