- So. I treated myself. Early 50th birthday present. Saw this over the May bank holiday weekend. Ended up buying it. Picked it up a week later.
Sorry if it seems like I'm riding like a vicar. Gonna take a bit of getting used to after my XJR1300.
Bike sounds amazing Sounds like it's hardly even hitting 4k revs but looks like it accelerating beautifully without even trying. Nice video mate. I dropped you a sub. 👌👍
Cheers. Yeah that's only a simple decat pipe. I'll eventually change to full headers but it'll be fine for now. Engine pulls amazingly well.

Best colours...then ya knew that!😊
Enjoy mate....lovin mine.🤙🍻
Still in love with it. Utterly brilliant bike. Few cheeky little carbon fibre bits on the way.

Tis great to make it yours, wi changes that you fancy.
Just painted front mudguard support's air covers, and fitted black riders heel guards.
I never thought I'd sell my first Rs but did like a muppet,.... this 1 ain't goin anywhere soon.😊
@@Flyingscotsman3 I've got a carbon hugger on now. Just done the carbon bits on the side panel. Got rad side covers and heel plates in a box in the garsge. Will probably order the carbon mudguard supports soon. Then it's just the neck pieces to replace with carbon ones. Next is a full system with maybe a Yoshi pipe.

Sounds like a list!😮
Be good when ya got it way ya want it.
Are ya gonna keep the xjr as well?
@Flyingscotsman3 XJR is gone I'm afraid mate. Idea of getting the Z was for something modern and reliable. Just couldn't trust the XJR to get me on a long ride. As much as I did all I could for it, it's still needed a ton of work to get right. Plus I fell in love with the Z. The missus made it clear it was possible if I just had the Z.
Yeah new bits are gonna look ace. Plus, the cheeky little brake res lid that you pointed out to me is still in a box too. Been flat out lately so not really had chance to get in the garage.
Went to the shop near my house to get a pair of gloves, rode in with a KTM RC390 and rode out with a 2019 Cafe model Z with 900 miles in the clock. Couldn't resist, always wanted one. I'm almost 50 and haven't had a 4 banger before, mostly Vtwins and singles. Glorious machines eh? Handling feels so effortless.
Hehe, it's easily done. I went to my local Yamaha dealers to look at their new bikes and ended up buying the Z.
Enjoy it, I am looking at the 900rs ,cb1000r ,1200 scrambler xe , & 1200 urban gs can’t make up my mind 🤪
All good choices. It's a tough call between all of them if you have no preference. I wanted the Z for the classic looks but modern additions.
It’s deffo a hard choice, because i love my africa twin A,S , but dont like tubes. oh well 👍
Thanks. I heard the motor humming.
Sounds nice with that cat cut out.
