Iv always loved these.. had a neighbor who moved and had a 300 coupe that was so cool and I let it get away. My uncle was over tonight for Christmas, really good guy always has been and has a 94 e320 covert in the dark blue and it’s clean! While talking he brought the car up an said he was done with it and wants me to have it. I was speechless. He went to take the key off his ring and I had to tell him we will talk this week due to the shock and him telling me he won’t except anything for it. With that said I need to find something cool to gift him because I’m bringing it home this week. Def need to grab a set of monoblock wheels to start off and take it from there. It’s a 94 so needs a little work here and there but mostly maintenance. I plan on holding onto this car for a long time! Iv recently been looking at mid/late 90s 500sl’s just to have in the garage to enjoy on nice days but i think I’ll be happy to drive this one. I’m pretty familiar with the 3.2 and love it for being bulletproof in my experience. Great video great cars
Never saw 124 cabrio in my life. But had a chence to ride 124 sedan in the perfect condition recently (never expected 35 y.o. car tobe in a such great condition) To my surprise I found nothing luxurious about it. Even my daily drive 204 felt more like that. So for me myth about good old days when grass were more green and cars more quality and luxurious is debunked. W124 is just an old car and nothing else.
Oh by the way about quality. Plastic in 124 is more suitable for hiundai by modern standards. Again even 204 interior made waaay batter. Its just feels more substantial sort of.
And you know why I even bothered to go inspect that 124 I talking about? I attempted to buy it. But after couple of minutes inside I was really disappointed. All this talking about "QUALITY" turned out to be bullshit. Cute car though.
There is luxury in reliability my friend, I’ve owned some money pits in my time BMWX5, VOLVO 940se, Mercedes 500sel (w140) Mercedes e400 a207. my w124 (sedan) 300d I love the most of my car history because it always starts, I service it myself twice a year and it’s just used on the weekend after years of daily driving. My daily now is a TOYOTA Landcruiser, luxury in reliability.
@martinwalsh7126 That's cute that you came up with own definition of luxury more plausible for your priorities. But, it doesn't work like that my friend. That your toyota has steering wheel and a/c doesn't make it luxury car by no means.
Well, It would be interesting that you would make an Review/Commentary on W140 CL(Coupe).

thank you for watching, Totally disagree with you sir! A124 w124 were much softer, lighter and more luxurious, smell alone had more quilty in it
