Hey Corrine, I tried this and offset isn't giving an offset, just the name in a different color. Also, your snapping tool looks nothing like what I have. Any suggestions?

Use Inkscape .92 and also sometimes you have to delete the text and start again. Linked offset can be weird sometimes
