    Karina, you are amazing. I can't express how much I appreciate the detail you have shown us in this sew. It looks amazing on you. I share all the likes and dislike you have, the placement of the pattern of the fabric and not having pointy bust darts, I really relate to all this. I have seen other people make this dress without the same care that you have shown, and I am screaming " no,no" . When you have a large bust you don't need any more attention to them. Thank you, you are an inspiration.

    Oh my, all three of your dresses are beautiful. The black panel on the red one is lovely and very clever. You must have an amazing wardrobe. Once the lockdowns have finally been lifted you will not have to wear the same thing twice for a very long time. Won’t that be fun! Thank you for another great tutorial.

This is going to be the 1st piece of clothing I have seen for myself in about 40 years. I have spent the last year refreshing sewing Techniques. I made a simple muslin for the bodice But after watching your video I'm gonna go back and make a more detailed one. Karina, all of your dresses are beautiful. I always learn so much from you. Do you think it would work to convert those front skirt darts to gathers just under the center bands? Or would you have to add a bit more width to the skirt?

    • @LiftingPinsandNeedles
      @LiftingPinsandNeedles  3 роки тому

      The darts won’t have enough to create gathers. I’d add about 2-3” to the Center front to add a bit of gathers in the Center.

    Just lovely Karina, is the blue dress shorter than the other 2? Also the skirt portion seems to fit a bit straighter and the other 2 look like they have a tiny bit of a A-line shape? Is it just me or because of the different drape of fabric? Another question, do you think this dress is suitable for a confident beginner "garment" sewer? I sew just haven't had the money to buy patterns and all the various garment fabric to really give it a go. So I am just quilting and bag making for now. But one day hope to give making my own clothes a try.🤞🏾

    • @LiftingPinsandNeedles
      @LiftingPinsandNeedles  3 роки тому

      When I was describing the pattern, I mentioned this. There is a side seam invisible zipper that is an option and that 99% of the testers did not need because there is enough ease at the waist and the neckline is wide enough.

    As always Karina you have gone the extra mile with you information. They all look lovely on you . I was going to say I liked the black and white best until you came out in the red and black one . With the sleeveless one do you only sew the gather stitch underarm from notch to notch?

    • @LiftingPinsandNeedles

      I don’t modify the back armscye, just the front and I “gather it shorter” from the underarm to about 1/3 from the top of the armscye. You can pull the thread about 1” and there won’t be gathers there.
