Another excellent show, guys. I enjoyed it greatly. Ron Eller's Continental Wrestling and Southeastern Pensacola are not owned by WWE. Eller, so far as I know, still owns those tapes. Like the Big Time tapes, Eller's Southeastern Knoxville tapes were recorded over, and the weekly TV shows were not saved. Do you know if WWE owns the Jarrett promotion tapes from Memphis? The promotion during its failing days was sold and a lawsuit was filed over the sale.

I grew up in Wichita, Kansas and, while you hear a lot of trash talked about it I watched and loved wrestling out of the Central States Territory. In terms of video footage available online I've seen an episode of Central States Wrestling from I'm guessing the 60s with Geigel, Bob Brown, The Stomper and Ox Baker in his first (?) television appearance, not as a wrestler per se but as an overzealous fan. I've also seen the footage of Harley Race Winning his first title against Dory Funk Jr, which I remember seeing the first time when it happened. There is some other stuff from the 80s which was pretty terrible. I understand that Geigel was kind of a skin flint and had the tapes used over and over but I wonder if any of that 70s Central States stuff is being tied up by WWE or elsewhere. Closest I can find is the thirteen disc series of Wrestling from the Chase that featured a lot of the Kansas City guys from that same time period.

I knew Chief White Owl’s. sister and her children. The Chief was African American and hid his identity well.
Do you have any stories about the Chief? We lived near Dayton Ohio.

He is still alive at 83 years of age unless he has passed very recently.
