Awesome results with the 5 core rad and larger intercooler. That obd reader is awesome bit of kit ,to see the auto and cold side intercooler temperatures could be handy when off the beaten tracks or heading to your favourite campsite.🇦🇺👍👍
Hey Steve💯😝 Congratulations mate you have won yourself the obd scanner!! Please contact me via my facebook messenger on Budget 4x4 Life so we can arrange shipping🥳🥳🥳
Great channel dude. Young man having a crack on a budget, awesome to see somebody learning and showing other whatncan be done without a heap of $. 4wding can be accessed without spending 100k! Obd scanner would be awesome to keep a eye on trans temp when towing my camper!
Toby Toby Toby...if the world just had more people like you🙌🏼💯 Thanks for the support mate you have no idea how much it means🙃 Thank you and 100% true what you say there! Cheers🍾
Loving the channel mate, all the mods have been really tasteful! Have just bought an NW after having my beloved Terracan overheat and put a crack in the head! I'm a little scarred from the whole ordeal haha, would love to be able keep an eye on things with one of these! Cheers
just got myself a 2005 paj, just had all the fluids and oils changed, timing belt kit and belt tensioner. she ran fine before that besides the tensioner making some noise. now it should be sweet, the obd reader would be great to diagnose anything that happens or changes.
Ive just purchased myself a 2007 pajero and found your channel while looking for thing I can do to it. To win the obd reader would come in handy to see temps while using it offroad and even on road while towing Cheers
Great Videos Mate....been wanting to upgrade my Radiator and intercooler on my NT ever since i watched your Vids and made it look easy, and good advice after your tune about the intercooler Silicone joints. Scanner would be good to compare before and after the upgrades.....at low speeds off road.
Appreciate the feedback mate, you'll notice a great difference with these upgrades especially with the front mount intercooler. Hope you're having a good time with the Paj🙂💯
Nice clear video and easy to follow. I would like a scanner to keep eyes on temps after a bad experience with mechanic after fixing car under warranty for over heating and forgetting to top up with oil. Now really unsure what damage has happened to car. And if there is any long term damage.
It'd be super handy to be able to see my temperatures when I'm flying around the beach in my 2003 Prado 120 V6 Auto Petrol, trans temps as you know can be an issue and I'd love to know how hot they're actually getting so I can pull over before any damage is done 🏖🚙
@@daviddean6953 Cheers mate! Oh yess I have haha...let's just say it had some touches😝 will update soon on what I've done! Can't wait to get out and camp instead of working on the car for a bit haha!
Ill like to see my temp because my oem temp guage went nuts and drive around with a blown head, fixed the head now I use an external temp guage that don't look good at all. I have the 2.8 td
@@budget4x4life thanks bro, I'm from the Caribbean but can I still win? Yea I love the 2.8 because I run mine on kerosene and veg oil. Want the 3.2 for the power and speed but they expensive where I live. The 2.8 is slow compared to the new pickups out here
This data from the OBDII needs coolant flowing over the sensor. Engine damage often occurs when there’s a coolant leak and the temp gauge doesn’t move because there’s no fluid passing over it. If you really want to know your engine temps you need a thermocouple like Engineguard, they’re only $110 but are fail proof
Love your videos mate - they very easy to understand. I currently drive an older model Paj V34. Have a question though --> isn't the thermostat responsible for keeping the engine cool despite the water temp in the radiator ? Many years ago... I drove an old Mini which did not even have a temp gauge! The engine overheated while I was running on the H'way. The car had to be towed and I had to replace the head gasket. Luckily that was all that was required and after that I installed a temp gauge. Was able to monitor the temp esp in heavy traffic and would not risk continuing my journey if the temp rose. Just park at the side and wait for a bit and then go again.... :) So therefore monitoring various temperatures is very important so we know if the motor is working as designed of malfunctioning/overheating. Regards.
Thanks Randolph appreciate it mate💯🙂 The thermostat regulates the coolant. Makes sure enough coolant is used to keep the engine cool. If the thermostat is faulty your engine will most likely overheat... Sorry to hear about your pajero....glad it's good now🙂💯
Recently got the Falken Wilpeak at3 tyres. 275 65 18. They are a very good size and tyres have minimal road noise. At first I tried Fuel Offroad Gripper at2s and they were so loud! I would say all terrain Falken Wildpeaks Hankook Dynapro at2 Kumho Road Venture R51 TIP: If you see a tyre you like don't just ask the staff how the tyre is...do your own research on what customers have to say😊💯
hell yeah man, got my intercooler sitting here, waiting on piping kit to rock up, gonna do the rad at the same time but im thinking of adding another tranny cooler in series rather then running it back through the radiator

100% agree mate cheers for the comment fingers crossed💯🔥🤞🏻
What if I installed additional fans, I have a Pajero petrol, I changed the fans to electronic Spal, the results were great
Fans are great💯🙌🏼
I get over 150 degrees just after turbo going up hill but never over 50 on cold side
But the tyres....fit and don t touche without lift?? Thanks
Tyres will fit without lift but you have to trim the front bumper. If you have bullbar no worries💯
Nice upgrades for sure.
Would like a scanner to keep an eye on temps for my PajSport especially when on sand or slow hilly terrain.
Awesome mate good luck💯😊🙌🏼
It would be great to see what my temps are I would really like one of these on my triton

from where i can buy the rims and tires? do you have a website you could refer to?
CSA is the rims brand. Recommend going through Tyrepower for the tyres. They are falken wildpeak at tyres 🔥
