Love this video. Beautiful with the tree setting, and strong work out. It makes me smile. The 42 minutes went fast couldn't believe I was finished. Peaceful but strong work out.

I was thinking of some footage I saw of when they were bringing the Shaolin temples back around in the 1970's and it occured to me that this could be one of those fresh faced 20 year olds I saw. 😊

    Excellent.
The raising of the heel is a little secret. Not many people do this these days. It is done with a certain breath.
If you know. Then you know.
    Good day.

This really is an amazing practice. I am making it a regular routine along with my other Qigong sessions. It is always challenging and i am noticing new subtleties each time. As with the 12 posture Yi Jin Ying i apply tension at times, but also relax when needed. The hard thing is keeping the breathing relaxed because this is pretty intense.

I was missing a lot of small details which make the series much easier. When you start being slightly off your heels your thighs really start to burn. Most people Shifu's age cannot do one full deep squat or a full dive bomber pushup. Kung Fu is for real if trained properly.

    • @danielmarinov3560

Use your natural breath, just keep attention on the lower Dan Tian and relax as much as possible. Real qigong happens by itself, your breath can change many times depending on the movement, sometimes regular, sometimes reversed, sometimes none at all, don't worry about it. Keep the mind centered and just observe, do not follow the energy or try to force it to go anywhere.
Empty the mind and fill the belly. That's all you need.

He's doing all of the horse stances and most on the other moves on the balls of his feet! His calves must be made of iron and his balance extraordinary.

well noticed, the I jing ying and also ba duan jin are meant to be performed in the metatarsus, of course other practitioners and masters performed them with all feet touching ground, but this method in particular is for keeping the energy flowing through the body and maintaining our feet like that we only recieve energy from above (yang) and meanwhile we change our own energy by tha circulation of thy; very interesting, and yes by all means, one of the pyshical effects are that calves do get strong and resilient; amituofo.

Yay! I found another fav. An entire 42:16 workout with kicks, pushups, lunges, quick and slow moves. More variety than ba duan jin (internal strengthening) and yi jin jing (muscle tendon change). Can't understand him except the yi er san sz, wu... Do like his voice. Being made in USA sometimes I get impatient & crave more variety.
My on-the go OTG daily or twice daily is still the 16.35 minute one - Yin Jin Jing (Muscle Tendon Change Classic) with the monk in orange and the students behind him in black - my body just loooves that flute. Poor excuse for a human being - if I can find 16.36 minutes. It's in my phone now. I did this instead of tai chi, because TC was too long, too slow and not enough pulling. Geez Louise! Frozen shoulder is gone. Text neck feels better (I must be getting the neck curve back). Hip pain is gone 90%. Knees still grind with the lunges, getting stronger better. I got my rib pains out after a fall a couple days ago. Overall flexibility still sucks. And getting better. "Hen hau!" (velly good!)

Yijinjing was the stuff of legend since the beginning. It was said to be the secret training routine of the shaolin warriors, who were seen as super-human. Many people were inventing exercise sets, pretending that they were revealing the "real one". So now there are a lot of "real ones", and you can just try them out and see their worth.
