My family started going there in the early 70s I think it was like $7 a night..there was a place called chandies by the sea. And a bar called Andy's.. down a little ways, you could rent surfboards mopeds.. we had a piggyback camper.. that was considered state-of-the-art back then.. in addition to that we had a couple of canvas tents. We would stay there three months every summer.. I could go on and on I love and miss that place.. it's not the same back then everybody was outside.. frisbee, lawn darts.. all kinds of stuff in front of the restrooms on that lawn area.. kite flying. Exploring the dunes..now when you go there everybody stays inside their huge mobile homes. Quite often on that lawn area in the evenings the locals would put on a music show with acoustic guitars.. there was all kinds of shellfish all over the place in the water.. all of those things are gone . Again I could go on and on.

I was trying to stay here last year but it was so packed. I still would love to try out the campground since i go to that beach i want to just stay the night on site instead of renting a hotel room. Beautiful beach so im sure the camping experience would be great as well. With covid i would be surprised if it will be open this year

gee, no comments? I've been there once, looking to take the kids in a few weeks, love the video and your campah! I was looking at those last time around, I'm surprised you don't have an on board generator..... looks like you camp solo..... as do I often...... kinda lonely but we get to come and go !!!!!!!!!! Take care bro !!!!!!!!!!!

I do have an on board generator. In runs on propane and gulps down 1/2 gal per hour. My LP tank can only hold 11 gals. So I use the small Honda for extended stays with no power. The Honda runs 6-7 hr on a gal of gas. Much more efficient and less noise.

Well presented J. I have been going to Scusset Beach for years but looking for another place due to the heavy in-season traffic from the bridges. Which one do you like better as far as the beach goes? Thank you for making the video.

Out of the two (Scusset and Horseneck), I prefer Scusset. But I'm not really a beach sitter or swimmer. There's more to do at Scusset.

Camping is so expensive in Taxachusetts . How much is it per night there? Year round availability?

At Horse Neck, resident camping fee is $22 per night, non-resident is $35 per night. Fees vary for each state park. It's only open from. May thru Sep.
