Spent 10 years of my summers 1960 to 1970 on the beach in A Beach Buggy off Hight Head Road known as pilgrim springs.
If you google earth race point beach. This was done the same day. My camper was on the north side
They started at race point airdown station
Not much Beach left to drive on used to be good able to drive all the way from Chatham
this is true and very sad
The Whole corridor has been closed since June 18th 2022, this is redeculis. Guess the rangers don’t want to do anything all summer and get paid for it! 8 weeks so far, shore birds are done nesting.
No you're not allowed anywhere in the dunes only Art's dune tours are allowed in those areas
And know that national seashore is off limits to side by sides dirt bikes four wheelers
music was distracting
High head is in Truro
Nothing better than beach wheelin with a Wrangler. Awesome TJ, what size lift and tires are you running?
Yeah it was a great time. The Tj is on a 4" lift with 33s
@@mnsjeepadventures3979 Mine is similar with 33" Duratracs, OME 2.5" lift. Jeep on! 🇺🇸
Where exactly is that place at the beginning where you guys started?
15mph top speed tho? I couldn't justify paying to have to crawl.
There’s clearly no one patrolling it lol just jam
Was just out here today! Was wondering if you could drive anywhere in the dunes. Idk if I wanna make the 4 plus hour drive back w my Cherokee on 33s lol.
better late than never. you cannot go off the marked trails, the dunes are protected.
I did in 1942 jeep in the sixties drover all over the dunes
The Durango is more than capable for the beach the rebels kind of Overkill
50 bucks for a 7 day permit I will probably use 1 day of and it doesn't even include camping which isn't even possible w/o chemical waste tanks? Lol no thanks. That is an absurd fee to putz down a couple miles of beach and not even camp.
Also the speed limit is max 15mph and 5mph alot of places. Not gonna pay to drive like a turtle lol
Just drive on & play dumb if they stop you - clearly there’s no one patrolling it
The rangers actually do patrol it
If you're looking for a place to go tear it up with a four-wheel drive this is not the place
@@JohnLewis-ij1gp they can’t catch me in those shit boxes they drive lol
Is high head orv access point in the race point area as well? I don’t know that one
High Head ORV access point is nearby in Truro, MA and is kinda of hidden. It was closed when we went in mid October.
It's actually not $50 it's been 65
$50/Week $150/Season $250/SCV
Could you drive a side by side here?
