      QuanGissle cant update stick it self, but some games supports legacy controller, for example sf5, under controller setting, there is support for older controller, u can connect there and use the ps3 stick, but alot some features are still limited, i think you still need your ps4 controller to navigate in other menus , i am not sure if every games has that option 🎮

  • @choiwaynekiet
    @choiwaynekiet Рік тому +3

    The colour wires don't always correspond to the correct direction, just make you have the up wire to the up switch and so on. Don't use the chart in the video as gospel. It is based on how the wire comes out of the PCB control board. The only wire that is correct in the video is the ground wire.

    The Korean lever you're using here looks very similar to Seimitsu sticks since it also has a metal plate that pushes the button instead of the actuator. Very interesting. Do Korean levers have an advantage or preference to certain games over Japanese sticks likes Sanwa and Seimitsu? I'm not planning on getting one, I'm just genuinely curious since a lot of people seem to want this kind of stick.

    • @JoystickNY
      @JoystickNY  3 роки тому +3

      Great question, the way that Koreans sticks are designed, they are better for games with heavy directional inputs, such as tekken, soul calibur, dead or alive type games, korean uses a rubber inside instead of the traditional spring, it somehow works really well for those games, where as spring levers seems to work better for circular input games like quarter circle, half circle fireball shoryuken type games, i will go in to korean parts in the future 🙏❤️

I've gone from a nooby venom budget stick to a hori rap v with Teayoung fanta and semitsu upgrades thanks to watching your videos, now whilst i've spent alot of money MAN am i having fun! Great job with this video, man! Your videos get more and more intersting! Just one question about the crown lever.
    I have the same stick, the Hori Rap 4, and I would like to mod that with Crown 309mj, that it comes with different grommet size:25, 35, 45. I think you have the stock 25 grommet in your video, right? Which one would you recommend for 3D fighting games like Tekken7 and DoA6 ? Thank you so much for your reply!,,,,

    • @JoystickNY
      @JoystickNY  4 роки тому

      Alexander Pasquinelli personally i like the 35, i feel its not too loose and not too much tension, but i mainly use sanwa jlf most of the time because i play alot of 2d fighting games, give them all a try and see which one you like 🙏❤️😊 thank you

      @alexanderpasquinelli9484 4 роки тому +2

      @@JoystickNY oh, you use stock 1lbs spring on Sanwa! I prefer the 2 lbs one because it makes the lever less loose and more reactive to go back to neutral position...but yeah, I think it's a very personal choice, it depends on your hands feelings, kind of games and personal gaming feedback! The best way is to try different types and get that one it fits your "fingers" better, I will do that for Crown lever grommet (25 and 35) and let you know! thank you and see you then!,,,,

    • @JoystickNY
      @JoystickNY  4 роки тому +1

      Talal Alosmani i feel a 360 is easier on a Japanese stick, i feel the rubber inside the korean lever wants me to go back to neutral more than going around, its definitely better for tekken tho ❤️🙏

    I'm very new to the fight stick modification scene and I happened to stumble across your channel. Love your simple explanations and guides! Subbed!
    I purchased a Hori RAP V Silent from Japan a few years ago and I never actually really used it due to the square gate giving me grief when playing Tekken 7. I've always wanted to try swap out the restrictor gate, then soon realised that there is no real modification option for the lever that is used in the RAP V silent (JP). Instead I will have to go down the joystick replacement route. Are there any recommendations for websites to purchase these parts? I'm in Australia and I couldn't really find anything local 😅
    Thanks again!

    • @JoystickNY
      @JoystickNY  4 роки тому +1

      They do make octagon restrictor gates for the hayabusa lever, check out the kowal octagon gate for hayabusa. It should be a easier and cheaper option 🙏❤️

    so i always wondered if the lever isnt positioned to low in a japanese case. wouldnt the lever be installed directly on top of the case without a space in between in a korean case? like with a seimitsu lever its also ideal to attach it without the mountingplate directly to the case if its possible.

    • @JoystickNY
      @JoystickNY  4 роки тому +1

      Alejandro Valdez Hernandez i dont really use a stick on a switch, and i personally dont think there is a need for a switch if you play smash, older street fighter versions on there, the only game that i can think of that can be useful would he dragon ball fighter z. If you really want a stick for switch, i would recommend just getting an adaptor for your current stick or get a mayflash f300, its only 50$ and you can also use it for the ps or xbox or pc and more. You can also mod it with good parts in the future and make it in to a solid stick

      @@alejandrovaldezhernandez6157 The mini isn't a good idea for fighting games, tbh, not good enough quality.
      Also, possibly the best quality and well-constructed arcade stick for the Switch, is the Hori RAP V Hayabusa Switch. It's about 150$ , so not cheap, but it comes with good Hayabusa parts, is full-size with a lot of room and very comfortable.
      I got it because i only own a Nintendo Switch and a PC, so i wanted to get the best stick for the Switch that i could.
      If you have an arcade stick of similar quality already, then just buy an adapter like the Mayflash magic NS. If you re like me and Switch is your only console (maybe also PC) then i highly recommend this arcade stick.
