Idina and Kristin together singing "For Good" is always so magical! One of my all time favorite Broadway songs!
Love them so much!
One of my favorites, but it makes me cry every single time.
I live near San Francisco, and saw Wicked in its world premiere pre-broadway production. And even before the show and the score became a hit, For Good definitely stood out
“When I Grow Up” from Matilda was particularly poignant, as composer Tim Minchin intended the song to leave younger audience members feeling optimistic and excited, while for the grownups it’s much more melancholy and nostalgic. For kids it’s about looking ahead to what they *could* do, but adults look back and often think of all the things they *didn’t* do. I imagine it was even more impactful for the performers.
(Can’t WAIT for the movie version to hit Netflix in December. I just wish I lived somewhere it’s getting a theatrical release!)
No way are they really going to have matilda the musical on film ?!?
@@_ariiii_ December - Netflix only in the states, cinema release in the UK and maybe Australia 😁
@@allisonbergh4429 omg yes I'm so excited since it's my fav musical. Thanks for the response :)
the reunion of Mandy Patinkin and Bernadette Peters (george and dot) singing "move on" from sunday in the park with george was so magical
I would add the original company of Les Miserables coming together at the 25th production to sing "One Day More." It was the entire original company except the original Enjolras, who felt he could no longer sing the part.
And while Ramin isn't original cast anymore, he's been in mizkaban for long enough, even already at that point, it should almost count
Hell the F'ing Yes.
Audra and Brian are forces of nature separately, and when they sing together it is perfection. And in real life they are both down to earth, compassionate and funny people
Spring awakening documentary was beyond amazing and beautiful. I enjoyed every minute of it it’s made me rediscover my love for musical.
Is it weird that I kind of miss those zoom performances? The "coming together, yet not" somehow made it even more meaningful. No costumes, no sets, no special lighting.....just pure & perfect. ❤
I do, too.
Wholeheartedly agree. They were magical. ❤️❤️❤️
Yes!
The Spring awakening one! 👌🏽👏🏽👏🏽
So good!
The most criminally underrated show of my lifetime. The amount of success that cast went on to experience is unprecedented.
I was blessed to see the Spring Awakening reunion concert from the 4th row. The most devastating and perfect night in theater I have ever experienced.
Not even an Honorable Mention for the reunion of the original cast members of The Phantom of the Opera? At the 25th Anniversary performance, they brought out the original London cast members and the creative crew. Original Christine Daae, Sarah Brightman sang the theme song with 4 actors doing Erik’s lines. It was incredible! The last original cast member to come to the stage was original star Michael Crawford. Sadly, we were missing original Raoul DeChagney, Steve Barton, original Carlotta Guidicelli, Mary Millar, and costume designer Maria Bjornson who all since passed. Many phans had wished Crawford would have sang too, but he had just come from a performance in The Wizard of Oz and declined the invite to sing so he wouldn’t strain his voice.
Was what I was coming in to say
Spring Awakening means the world to me! The reunion was amazing, magical! 💖✨
I 100% agree with you. That show was the soundtrack of my high school days.
And we still waitting for full version not only document ❤️
With lea Michelle in it - no interest
Never listened and I don't like it sorry, I prefer stuff like ITH
@@kidkrowtaylor.ৎ”never listened…don’t like it” you must be a really smart person
Tony winners Angela Lansbury and Bea Arthur reuniting to sing "Bosom Buddies" from Mame at the Tony Awards is one of the all-time classics!
The 2021 Tonys were truly something special. So many gorgeous moments.
the newsies 54 below performance for the 10 anniversary was special!
I met Daveed Diggs at Hamilton, and he was the sweetest guy ever. It makes me appreciate the cast ever.
What about the epic finale of the 25th anniversary concert performance of “Les Miserables?” That featured a reunion of cast members from several different productions of the show, including the original 1985 West End cast led by Colm Wilkinson.
I just wrote that before I read your post!! A truly incredible reunion!!
Even though Jonathan Lawson never got to see his magical musical come to life he will never be forgotten RIP Jonathan you will be missed
Jonathan Larson though ;-)
Idina and Kristin singing anything is always so beautiful!!!💚🩷
Les Mis… anyone anyone…!?? C’Mon!! They’ve had one of the most incredible reunions with all the ValJeans from around the world! Incredible!
I love #1. they all look like they can do one more tour of Rent
Just feeling so appreciative that Ms. Mojo offers so many Broadway videos. Thank you.
Audra and Brian Stokes will always be the gold standard!!
I believe wholeheartedly that Audra’s voice is what Heaven’s Angels sound like.
Love the description Creamy baritone”
What about the Ragtime reunion 20233?
"In The Heights" reunion concert (2014) would be my number 1, but somehow it was totally ignored.
seeing Lin-Manuel Miranda and the OBC of Hamilton performing Alexander Hamilton on Zoom that was awesome!
Fun fact- I’ve gotten super high with Dan Fogler 4:25 because my friend was his weed dealer in NYC 😂 super awesome guy
I saw Ragtime in the months it premiered, as a school trip. It changed my life. Audra and Brian were a tremendous inspiration for me as an amateur singer. I wish I saw them sing "Wheels of A Dream" again. I am sorry I missed it for the first time. Thank God for the internet!
So good!
I'd love to see all the Hedwigs get together for a reunion - Neil Patrick Harris, Michael C Hall, Andrew Rannells :)
and Darren Criss! I was looking for this comment, thank god I'm not the only one
Don't forget about John Cameron Mitchell and Taye Diggs!
When I was young, Broadway was some far off place - only the rich could afford to see such magical shows. It was Rosie O'Donnell who opened up my eyes to Broadway through her show. Ever since, I have been hooked !! My top three shows are Lion King / RENT / Wicked...and for me, Kristen and Idina will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart !!
I really love these cast reunions, with "Hairspray" being my personal favourite.
Same!!! Also Kinky bootssssssss
The cast of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” staring Christian Borle as Willy Wonka! They did reunite on “the view” for a little Halloween performance in 2017 but I think it’d be great to see them reunite again❤️
The 74th Tonys really were THE most emotional experience for this theatre nerd.... and Rent remains one of my very favorite shows, ever. Perfect #1 choice. 😍
You forgot to mention the 25th Anniversary Concerts for The Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables and Miss Saigon, when the original cast members appeared (Sarah Brightman, Michael Crawford, Colm Wilkinson, Roger Allam, Patti LuPonne, Michael Ball, Rebecca Caine, Frances Ruffelle, Lea Salonga, Simon Bowman and Jonathan Pryce)
The best - into the woods original cast reunion at BAM. That score (and Bernadette) are timeless and the mix of discussion and song pure magic.
I used to hate Spring Awakening, but the reunion cast is amazing! I wanna see Aaron Tveit in that show
You should have included or mentioned the Six zoom it was incredible 😢😢
Perfect countdown EXCEPT the 25th anniversary of Les Miserable. That was a one-of-a-kind reunion.
Awesome list! #2 easily got me in tears seeing then unite stage on stage
Same here!
I met Brian Stokes Mitchell a long time ago (when my son now 15 was a baby) he performed at the Washington DC July 4th performance. He was with his family earlier in the afternoon walking around Union Station shopping .. I was the ONLY one who knew who he was.. HE WAS SUPER SWEET. I told him I was a HUGE fan.. Sadly I didn't think about taking a pic
just want to say that my feathered bird brother LOVES the hairspray zoom video of you can't stop the beat with various casts (including those from the original broadway, 2016 live performance, and one at least from the movie). He starts chirping and dancing. (Well, I think he loves all of that show's music lol)
I’ve watched the Spring Awakening: Those You’ve Known 3 times. It’s just so beautiful and perfect.
I've been a huge musical theater fan since seeing Big River at age 12. Rent is my favorite show ever, this caught me in the feels m.
I would have liked to have seen the pandemic Zoom reunion of all the casts of "SIX."
I know it's not really a reunion either but the finding wonderland covid video was so amazing
its not a performace but the 2016 cast of falsettos reunion in 2020 made my year.
See idina and Kristen reuniting at the Tony awards was great but them reuniting for that wicked NBC special was even better because past Glenda‘s and elphabas join them. Js
I can’t believe you missed the Les Miz 10th Anniversary Concert.
That wasn't a cast reunion. Just an anniversary performance by new actors
@@letitgo6361 To give one example of something that was included that wasn't a cast reunion, the Disney Broadway leading ladies performance wasn't a cast reunion, just three performers who had played Disney characters in different musicals on Broadway. They weren't even in the same musical. If that counts as a "cast reunion," the Les Miz TAC surely counts. None of the performers in the TAC were new actors; every one of them had performed in Les Miz in the past. Colm Wilkinson (Valjean) and Michael Ball (Marius) were in the original London cast; Phillip Quast (Javert) was in the original Australian cast; Michael Maguire (Enjolrus) and Judy Kuhn (Cosette) were in the original Broadway cast; members of the chorus were adults who had played the children in Les Miz; etc. I think the 25th anniversary concert did have performers who had never been in Les Miz, but the 10th anniversary didn't.
All of these are incredible, but you’re missing my personal favorite: BRIGHT STAR! I could listen to Carmen Cusack all day
How did the cast of Merrily We Roll Along wasn’t even mentioned? The Best Worst Thing That Ever Could Have Happened... documentary is pure Gold!!
I clicked on this for the low chance of seeing it ranked and left disappointed 😢
Les mis reunion at the 25th!!
I would have included "Nowadays" with Chita Rivera and Gwen Verdon. They are Broadway icons.
I think an honourable mention for Six when all casts sang together
I’m sorry. How does anyone take this list seriously when it completely ignores the Les Miserables 25th Anniversary Concert? Top 10 performances we didn’t think would be blocked on UA-cam. The original cast from the West End performed. Even if it was omitted for some technicality, it should have been mentioned!
While the 25th was nice, I still feel the 15th with all the Valjeans around the world was more iconic.
The 25th is obviously top tier performance-wise, but I don't consider it a reunion... Maybe I'm wrong, but isn't one reason the 25th is so loved *because* it's considered the "dream cast"? I think this list was more about previous actors returning rather than great revivals or casts in general. Again, I could be missing something, but that's how I see it.
The original cast of Rent always gives me tears because they were the only group to have worked with the creator Jonathan.
We need the West End version of this list
Why am i crying+smiling
This is AMAZING
Bea Arthur and Angela Lansbury reuniting at the 1987 Tonys!
All great choices! But, I’m very sad that Newsies The 10 Year Reunion (my favorite) didn’t even get a mention.
Was hoping for mentions of the Company, Merrily we roll along, and thoroughly modern Millie reunion concerts
Rent is my favorite musical ❤❤❤❤
Outstanding!
Glad you like it!
ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING!! NO LES MIS???!!!!! UNREAL
Spring Awakening is my fav musical for ever
It tramitized me lol when I was 9
Ohh come on where's les Miserables reunion it was epic, also you guys forgot phantom of the opera reunion
Hello Dolly put on your Sunday clothes during the pandemic. Had everybody from Bette to Bernadette to Donna and the tours.
Some of the reunions during the Sondheim galas - Bernadette and Mandy / Joanna and Chip
All of the Les mis reunions the 30th anniversary of you find it is fantastic. Cameron M telling Patti to be quite is so funny and her reaction is everything
The first Broadway Musical I ever saw live was Ragtime in Junior High. I thank my poor, incredibly tolerant band teacher for giving us that opportunity.
Not on this list: every single cast of SIX (as well as fans!), including departed cast members, singing, “Ex-Wives,” and the titular song, “Six.” You can find it on the show’s UA-cam channel!
UPDATE: The original West End Cast reunited last night at Hampton Court Palace!
Love it ❤️ ❤️
Can't believe that the Le Mis reunion concert didn't even get an honorable mention.
Les Miserables should be on this list
That spring awakening documentary is SO TOP NOTCH.
Ones that didn’t make the list, the Rock of Ages Reunion concert where they set off the fire alarm at the end of Sister Christian, the Cast of Hedwig and the Angry Inch doing Wig in the Box for Pride, The In the Heights Reunion Concert, and the Cast of Hamilton on the Tonight Show.
Well that was teary...
You missed the reunion of Las Mis
Okay okay, mine is Hamilton ☺️☺️
I wish Those You’ve Known had more of the actual performance- or at least HBO released the full proshot. I was lucky enough to go, and there was so much left out of the documentary.
I would love to see reunion performances of :
.Spongebob the Musical
.Seussical the Musical
.The Little Mermaid
.Jersey Boys
.In the Heights
.Young Frankenstein
.Shrek the Musical
Yep same! Also Legally Blonde!!! Seeing Christian, Laura, Kate, Annaleigh, and everyone else would be so cool!
Happy Pride month I’m so happy to celebrate with you 🥰🥰
I love Broadway musicals.
Gosh, for the Queen of Musicals 🎶
I haven't seen ONE of these shows!.
Guess my tastes run a little older...
R.I.P to all the Kings 👑 and Queens 👑, 🌈 🌠 👑,, 🦄💄🌟💋❣️ that we have lost....
My faves from the list
-Hamilton
-Spring Awakening
-Rent
But seriously Ms.Mojo what about the following done during lockdown…
-Six
-Dear Evan Hansen
I know I’m 2 years late but I’d love to see the Lempicka cast have a reunion performance💚
Og chorus line doing one
Aida please needs to come back
How on earth did the 25th anniversary of Les Misèrables in Concert not make this list! There were like 500 people on the stage and all of the Jean Valjeans plus the original cast.
The room where it happens was way better than the SGN one
When I Grow Up is the ultimate try not to cry challenge
7:37 oh, Marin mazzie, if you were here, you should’ve gone back to before
I WAS AN IDEA FOR NOT WATCHING 2021'S ACADEMY AWARDS BECAUSE BSM (BRIAN STOKES MITCHELL) BECAUSE I LOVED HIM AS THE VOICE OF JETHRO FROM PRINCE OF EGYPT
I would also add Grease!
Which one?
@@kidkrowtaylor.ৎ The only one that matters--the 1978 movie. I love "Summer Nights"!
So Jesse st James and Rachel berry were in spring awakening they eventually got married after the series finale of glee
Can you do a video series showing how Broadway shows celebrated coming back after being shutdown for COVID.
I wish legally blonde was an honourable mention at least
One of my favorite Broadway best friends will always be elphaba and glinda best frienimies to the end 💚🖤💗🤍
Make a top 10 best DreamWorks movies openings
I would love to see Movin' Out reunion. My favorite reunion is all of them.
Here for Ellyn & Joey
How about Angela Lansbury and Beatrice Arthur reuniting to sing "Bosom Buddies." This list, as many of yours, sadly, seem to only go back as far as the 90s.
Sucks that newsies reunion wasn’t on list but rent is #1 so I’m good.
Number one always had to be RENT but I was surprised Hamilton vwasnt higher
Really, The 25th annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, the musical that has a song called "My Unfortunate Erection," is one of the most *wholesome* musical comedies of the early 2000s?
