By far my favorite song! I showed this to my 13 year old and he freaking loved it. I keep telling him that Billy was by far the most underrated artist in the 80’s.
Man transition for the lead from mandolin to electric guitar give me chills for this day. Thank you Billy for being so much part of my life all these years. However unlikely ,I'd enjoy meeting you again for the fourth time, just glad you're one of my heroes that is still alive.
Something about Billy Squier's music just hits me in a familiar place. In some ways, when I hear Squier's music, I feel like I'm listening to the music in my heart.
I can really relate to your comments about Billy's music. I've thought about what you wrote about it being the music in your heart...well said. That is exactly how it feels for me, too. ❤😎🎧
Pure talent and he should have been granted another chance in the music industry, can't believe he was scorned over a video over a great song Rock Me Tonight. No one else sounds even close to him, still the songs of my youth and today!
In memory of my cousin that died in the flood of buffalo river in linden tn. He was an awesome guy that would play this on his guitar many nights. Miss ya bubba. God rest your soul. See you again someday
I always loved Billy Squiers great vocal-phrasing and taste for melodies since 1981. With every year gone and getting a bit wiser, I discovered that a somehow hidden star was his keyboardplayer. His taste for somehow uncommon yet marvelous keyboardsounds is outstanding. On every song of Billy Alan St. Jon`s keyboardwork is OUTSTANDING. I love it.
Over and over--wanderin' through the years Life is a diamond--love is a trail of tears Sometimes I want you--sometimes I want to fly I know when I find you No one can stop me now--break you Don't let me go--Don't let me Watchin' the seasons--can't let you pass me by Turnin' the pages--why do we have to lie You are the reason--yours are the final eyes And when I hold you No one can touch me now--break-through Don't let me go--Don't let me Never wanna say goodbye--never wanna make you cry Never wanna see you go Now every time I close my eyes You're the one who makes me realize Don't let me go
ThIs album came out June of 1989... mere months after the love of my life broke my heart. There are two songs on this album that hit me HARD. This was the one i played over and over. absolutely loved this song. sure wish he'd tour and play these songs live in my area!
I just watched and listened to the mono version of this exact video with headset on, then commented on how I love this song, but wish it was in STEREO. Then I found this one.....❤️❤️❤️
This has to be my favorite of all!! Listen to the on cassette then cd and bought at least 2 more times over the years because it struck so many emotions from me!!! Such an underrated Gem!!!!!!
Jesus this video is so well done. It captures everything...the feel...the vibe...the jam....the mixing...the live looking performance. Covers all the bases. The color enhancements suit the mood as well. Great job Billy....a master piece.
Billy you are the sound of my teenage years. I wore out my cassette player in my 78 rally sport Camaro and my cassettes listening to your great musicianship. I’m about to be 53, but you are timeless in my heart of memories I need an AUTOGRAPH from you my friend
im 55 today and I used to blast his music around the bomb fires at the high school parties....the posh little snotty rich kids were into phil collins and got mad at me....use to blast it louder
Billy can write some great songs. I haven't seen this in 30 years. Great find and makes me wonder if he can get in the RNR HOF. Maybe he can put out some new stuff.
I used to leave my stereo on all night when I was in Jr. High. Circa 1989-91. Everytime this song came on I would wake up and listen to it. No matter if it was 12am or 5am. It was amazing.
Saw this video on Mtv when it was about music, the song is awesome, the video is very cool. Billy you should be proud. Put this on your greatest hits releases.
I saw this tour and Billy and his band were so white hot. Billy is a poet. Totally underrated genius. I was and will always be his #1 fan. I saw him in concert 3 times and I love him always for his great music and for being so kind to his fans.🌹🌸✨
Don't Let Me Go Is An Absolutely Awesome Spectacular Great Straight Up KickAss Rock N Roll Song By Billy Squier And Totally Rocks It Needs To Be Fully Cranked Up All The Way To Full Maximum Volume.🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Never saw this video before. This was during the time of the "Poodle Hair" period of rock. I bet the record company was begging for a pole dance somewhere but Billy refused. No wonder I never saw this video before. These type of videos are rare and are quickly dismissed but they are the most honest IMO.
I don’t mean this from a difficulty standpoint but the guitar solo is one of my favorites. I just think every note was perfect. Whacking around in e minor lol. So damn tasty
Billy Squier knows how to rock n roll. I wish he would do some duets with Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam. Those two would pull out some major vocal harmonies together.
Freakin love this song,i hear some moody blue's and rod stewart in there. At the beginning of song "nights in white satin" and the mandalin part reminds me of rod stewart's "maggie may". Tht'a what im hearing anyway.
The Mandolin Was Priceless ...Awesome
By far my favorite song! I showed this to my 13 year old and he freaking loved it. I keep telling him that Billy was by far the most underrated artist in the 80’s.
Great parenting, teach him right. Billy is underappreciated for sure.
🔥🎸🔥 The 80s ROCKED because of BILLY SQUIER 🔥🎸🔥
His voice is like ASMR tingling down my spine in a good way!
Such talent and gets me in the feels. I'm in awe.
Fogged up many windshields growing up on an island off the coast of Maine to this mans music. If you were a teen in the 80s you owe Mr. Squire
On Vancouver Island in Canada growing up to this one too !!! Rock on!
Im in Maine now
Man transition for the lead from mandolin to electric guitar give me chills for this day. Thank you Billy for being so much part of my life all these years. However unlikely ,I'd enjoy meeting you again for the fourth time, just glad you're one of my heroes that is still alive.
this song is so underrated. it should be a massive hit!
_I rate it high as well..._

Billy's music has heart.
Most of Billy's songs deal with heartbreak and lonliness, but I love them all. This is beautiful ♥
- Learn how to live -
Pure talent and he should have been granted another chance in the music industry, can't believe he was scorned over a video over a great song Rock Me Tonight. No one else sounds even close to him, still the songs of my youth and today!
This entire album is incredible.
In memory of my cousin that died in the flood of buffalo river in linden tn. He was an awesome guy that would play this on his guitar many nights. Miss ya bubba. God rest your soul. See you again someday
Billy is a musician.. I listen to his music and feel good. I'm glad I found this one again..
First album I ever bought I was 13 yrs old ..billy squier don't say no...still have it and I'm 46 now and love it even more than then....
I recently bought Don't Say NO. Great album, and it's 2022.
very talented man who got overlooked by so many all i can say is it sucks to be them because they don't know what they missed.
Completely underrated as a guitar player - some of the coolest riffs out of the 80s
I always loved Billy Squiers great vocal-phrasing and taste for melodies since 1981. With every year gone and getting a bit wiser, I discovered that a somehow hidden star was his keyboardplayer. Over and over--wanderin' through the years
Life is a diamond--love is a trail of tears
Sometimes I want you--sometimes I want to fly
I know when I find you
No one can stop me now--break you
Don't let me go--Don't let me
Watchin' the seasons--can't let you pass me by
Turnin' the pages--why do we have to lie
You are the reason--yours are the final eyes
And when I hold you
No one can touch me now--break-through
Don't let me go--Don't let me
Never wanna say goodbye--never wanna make you cry
Never wanna see you go
Now every time I close my eyes
You're the one who makes me realize
Don't let me go
You had me at hello!

I love this song. I so wish Billy would get the itch to do something new.
Great song, great use of simple chords😍😍😍
Billy Squier has NEVER made a mediocre song. One man - one guitar - great songs. Class dismissed.
Just rediscovered this song. Love it. Reminds me of a girl I knew in my youth that I walked away from and she just let me go. Miss her.
