This was the original version played on MTV ,83 Of course when it was Music Television, I do not give a flying fuck about all of the bullshit comments about Billy.. I know one thing ,This song came out as I was getting divorced from my first love,,it was brutal ,,then there was this ,for the first time in my life i acknowledged same painful shit put in a song.. Thank you Mr. Squier and all you have given to the world.

Great singer/songwriter from the late 70's who made it big in the 80's and was then run off by the corporates who put him there in the first place. I was lucky to have seen him several times. His songs were the background music of my youth.

Never seen Squier in concert but I remember this video back in the day; my favorite song he did, but this version. Was the face of early 80's rock; little androgynous, sorta simple tunes, but great music without a deeper meaning or agenda. I wish we were back in that scene, just sing a damn song! Dont need to hear what you think about the suffering people of Kampuchea or the plight of a rain forest. Squier knew how to be a proper rock and roll star in his day. Thanks for the share! - Rob

    I say the line
"I need to listen to my advice
The aggravation ain't worth the price.."
So often, I'm quoted for it.
    When I am.
I'm like nope.. "that's the only BS I'll ever happily listen to..
    BILLY SQUIER."
    if they say who's that.
    I make them listen..
...and I never play "the stroke."
It's a shame that's popular. He was SUCH AN INCREDIBLE WRITER/SINGER/MUSICIAN.
If you read this, Mr Squier.
    Thanks for the music.
