- Xiaomi Mi 6 was just recently released. The latest phone from the cell phone company Xiaomi... its time to see what this phone is made of. Last years Mi 5 was snapped in half during my durability testing. Which isnt ideal when you want a device that can survive the test of time. I'll take my Mohs hardness pics and find out where the scratch resistance of the glass is at, Plus the flame test and finally a bend test, which is the ultimate test of cell phone build quality.

Baphomet Mephisto Xiaomi users requested for at least have waterproof device. remember that Xiaomi is a budget device; waterproofing & headphone jack cost alot more and will cause the price to be more expensive. Mi6 is still considered expensive compared to other Xiaomi device. At least those xiaomi users got what they want 😂

robertshuxley U serious? Just google "fake iphone teardown" or something, they all look similar, and to be clear- every electric which fakes other is shit cause they focus on looks instead of usability and they are trying to fit components to the enclosure, instead of thr other way around.

Don't worry, the phone is very solid it does not bend, the camera lens is covered with glass, same with front facing camera. Buttons are made of metal and the screen starts to scratch at level 6, i drop it 3 times, no problems.

-Crashes are because Camera2 API is mandatory. So or use custom ROM or edit build.prop to enable.
-Autofocus dont work with MIUI9
-A lot of other cameras work with Camera2, like open camera, freedcam... Camera FV5 (my favorite) dont work well
-For Root, the best and faster are SuperSu by Chainfire

Well you can find some local/online resellers, or try to import from China. Keep in mind this phone is much cheaper compared to it's competitors
Manan Sanghvi I got my mi4c from Gearbest but I do not recommend it. My friend got a mi4s with a broken pixel line. He had to pay 60€ to get a replacement while it was actually dead/broken on arrival.
I highly recommend ibuygou with its duty insurance, check them out!
J 3psilon It does have the LTE bands you can just check the specs. And my mi4c has 4G like everywhere here in The Netherlands.

Im a owner of a redmi note 4 mtk version so i heres my 2 cents. After using it for like 2 months i have 0 complains about performance and build quality. It is very resistant, the only minor issue is that the metal may get a little smashed over time but you can buy a new metal cover for 15$ on aliexpress. Totally recommend it

That is the problem.... Redmi Note 4 has MASSIVE differences of Hardware depending of the region.... and Indian is the WEAKEST of them since is the Redmi Note 3 in hardware with new internals.

Hey Jerry all your test are damn pretty perfect thought..wanted to have a add on in your test like
1)1 feet drop test.- usually a phone get slipped out of hand
2) 6 feet drop test- when fall off from a average persons height.
3) Sitting or pounding the phone with some heavy objects that we do offen placing the phone in the back pocket of our pants.
hope you ll check this and make them those listed stuffs showing up..

The Bend test tells about the strength of the phone.

Hi Jerry! this a little bit off-topic question but since you dive into hardware I would like to have your opinion. I want to make some projects involving speakers, is it a good idea to use the replacement speakers for smart-phones (since they are tiny and will save a lots of space)? if yes, do you have any recommendation about whose replacement part would be a decent choice?
