    #34 The trailer was as wide as the lane itself. It's not speed that caused the trailer to go over the line or clip the grass. Just looked like the driver wanting to keep the other lane clear due to the wide load. And going over the line so not to hit anything in the left when the road ahead was clear. Just doing the same as everyone does on narrow country roads. (except for range rovers, golf's and audis)

      100% agree. It’s also almost like a tractor and trailer is articulated meaning it has a wider turning circle then a car does. And I don’t think when they guy said he was on the grass why would grass make a plume of dust? It more looked like it was the outer edge of the road where all the dirt and crap accumulates. Some people need to get their driving in check before criticising others’ .

    For the clip at 10:00 , tractors as stated don't need to pull in if there are less than ~30 vehicles behind. You managed to overtake perfectly fine, with no issues, and as for the number plates, as long as the number plates match up to the same farm, they can be different on trailers and towing vehicles (as they are commonly swapped and changed between equipment).

      @sandrawestley4193 Місяць тому

      If it’s just a painted round about, you do not have to go around it, but the rules of a round about apply, give way to the right, you can still drive across it. You need to check your rules out. Many vehicles are too long to go around the round about, ie, Lorrie’s, trucks, etc.

    • @thebeatmonkey9
      @thebeatmonkey9 Місяць тому +3

      @@sandrawestley4193Hey - I know you're wrong, so I took your advise and checked the rules and found Rule 188 of The Highway Code just to prove it to you.
      "Rule 188
      Mini-roundabouts. Approach these in the same way as normal roundabouts. All vehicles MUST pass round the central markings except large vehicles which are physically incapable of doing so. Remember, there is less space to manoeuvre and less time to signal. Avoid making U-turns at mini-roundabouts. Beware of others doing this."
      The car in the clip was not incapable of passing around the central markings, so it should have gone around them.
      In future, take your own advise and check the rules out before making up your own in order to "correct" others. It literally took me less than a minute to find that info.

    28:59 For clarification, that's not an electric bicycle, it's an electric motorbike. You can tell by the speed it's travelling and the fact that it isn't pedal-assist. They are illegal on UK roads without insurance, number plate and riders must wear a crash helmet. Unfortunately they are almost impossible to stop when driving a police car, which makes them ideal for criminals. The police need to re-think their strategy in dealing with these.

    • @WhiteDieselShed
      @WhiteDieselShed 5 місяців тому +2

      They don't have to be pedal assisted. You can have a full on battery only mode. EU laws said assist only UK laws said battery mode was legal.
      The max battery only or assisted speed should still be sub 15mph though.

    All agricultural trailers must display a registration plate. The plate on a trailer does not need to match the plate on the towing vehicle. However, if the trailer plate is different to the one on the towing vehicle, it must be the plate of some other agricultural machine kept by the keeper of the towing vehicle.

      but then they have to impede into an oncoming traffic lane to pass the vehicle - apply the same situation to a city and you should wait..? Makes no sense how it is the cammers fault. In relation to #34.... Why do all dashcam compilation channels show these types of clips lately?!
    As a tractor driver myself... I'd honestly let you drive my tractor, and see if you can do any better!
    😂 So quick to judge the drivers in these clips, because 2 wheels touched the white lines etc....
    Clearly have never driven a tractor and towed one of those vegetation trailers (as we call them, where im from)......
    If you had.... You'd see.. These drivers actually do an AMAZING job at driving....

    At 10:42, we see a classic example of driving yourself straight to the point of collision. NEVER place yourself alongside another vehicle, especially at the point they may use the exit. ALWAYS stagger your position to other vehicles. Instead of accelerating right up to the bus ( where you can't make any further progress), keep yourself behind the two vehicles to your right - if they make a mistake, you don't need to take any action at all.

    16:25, you should try driving a tractor/trailer at the tractor's best speed. You wouldn't be so cocky then.

      If you look at the end of the clip, lane 1 turns into a filter lane for the Hartlepool turn off, and it gets clogged solid during the day. Everyone who wants to stay on the A19 gets into lane this early, otherwise you’ll get stuck. You can just see the signs in the distance…

    #83 wasnt a brake check, cars in front were braking so he did too so he wouldnt rear end them. Annoying when people brake to either avoid braking traffic in front or to maintain distance (if cars in front slow down) and others think they are being brake checked....

    #98 When the A5 was a 60mph limit I had a biker overtake on one wheel through all the debris in the centre broken lane dividers. I just thought there is no way I would drive through that never mind on one wheel. Road was quiet enough and wide enough to use the same lane or the opposite side of the road.

    #6,van driver knew he his the cars mirror so was leaving the scene of a accident without providing details so presumably you could report him to police and b.t more importantly I'm sure they would love to see the video of him damaging there properly as well as making their company look reckless.
    9 bmw driver is certainly suffering with s.m.s ( small Dic£ syndrome). Driving like that .🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

    #34 - Why so close behind the tractor if you were so concerned at the perceived safety of the driving? Wide farm vehicles have to be given a little respect on narrow, windy lanes by other road users and frankly there seemed little to criticise here.
    And welcome back Daryl at #80 #97 and earlier, Lucasz seems to be on holiday but it’s good to have one regular HGV ‘idiot magnet’ driver back. But what were you doing to your missus in #102, that soundtrack was straight out of Debbie Does Dallas.
    #80 - It is perfectly legitimate to reverse from a minor road into a major road if it is not possible to use a safer method but it has to be done legally and correctly, that example was wrong on every front, no signalling, from a position straddling the road centre and with no wariness of other traffic. The best solution is to carry on and find a safe U Turn spot, driveway or road to reverse into.
    #85 - Dreadful driving from the two in front of you involved in the rear ender, maybe the ‘victim’ was following the update to the Highway Code rather literally in stopping for the pedestrian, it was indecisive and the lane positioning pretty careless, the driver should have not entered the junction which would have made it safer for everyone. The following car was 100% at fault, when following one must always have adequate braking distance, regardless of speed and anticipate what might be happening to vehicles in front of you.
    After an minor accident all inc=Volvo d are compelled to move to a safe area to the side of the road, not sit and block the highway. This is not Germany where it is illegal to move vehicles until the Polizei have given permission.
    #112 - How were you in the wring, maybe yo passed over the centre or to the right of the circular centre, but you were in the roundabout and she had to give way to vehicles to her right, which you were.

    I’m ok expert here, but obviously it’s illegal to even touch a mobile phone while driving, but doesn’t the law stretch to dashcams too? By clicking the marker button so you can find a clip to post, isn’t this also dangerous and distracting. ?

    • @Michael-n7t7r
      @Michael-n7t7r 22 дні тому

      Did you mean "your no expert"? if not, and you really do think you're an expert, then you don't sound like one because it's not against the law to touch your phone while driving like you claim. The law says you can't "hold and use a mobile phone ", not hold OR use a mobile phone. Big difference, you have to do both to be guilty (hold and use). You can actually drive with your phone in your hand as long as you're not using it, but you would have a very hard time convincing the courts that you weren't using it. As for touching it, if you have your phone in a holder, then you have only used it, not held and used it. Cars are actually now made to connect to our phones, so we don't have to bother with holders. If it's illegal to even touch your phone, then surely it would be illegal to touch your car screen to answer a call, because touching your phone screen and touching your car screen is the same thing. Check out the blackbeltbarrister on here. He is a real uk barrister and has done a few videos about mobile phones and driving. In one, he even said he recommends using your car controls to control your phone but admitted he has sometimes touched his phone screen to answer a call. I really don't think any barrister would be stupid enough to admit on camera, then upload it to the Internet if it was illegal.
