U guys really chose the right place to eat Curry Fish Head! This shop is 45 years old(opened since 1974) n is 1 of the Most popular Fish Head Curry in Singapore!
One of the best in Singapore, well at least to me
they said in the video it was because they watched mark wien's video. mark wien went there at 2016 i think.
Welcome to Singapore iChang!❤️❤️❤️ I love how you always smell the food before you pop it in your mouth haha ! 😆😆😆 I'm Chinese but I swear the food taste better when you use your hand to eat lol. Pinch the rice together a bit into a small lump so that it's easier to eat lol
SG 本土天王 - ROCO KING
She keep all food smell n taste in her sd card, so go back japan try to cook, smart girl, u are lucky Jimmy San
Really happy to see Japanese would try difference kind of food and culture, usually they would just eat sushi, udon or ramen
Actually japanese really like to eat foreign country’s food
@@abanghajid8876 Actually the opposite, I used to do business with Japanese , having Japanese friends and girl friend majority they don't like foreign food I subscribed to iChang HK because I was surprise he loves durian . If you treat Japanese people Malaysia local food they will eat it but inside their heart they don't like it, that's why you can see so many Japanese sushi shop most of their customer are Japanese, you can try do market survey and see almost nearly 70% of the sushi shop customer are Japanese. If you don't believe me you can try ask IChang and see. Most Japanese people only use or eat their own product unless it's from USA it's their culture, No matter how good a Samsung or a Huawei smartphone they will not used it they will used Sony or iPhone only only the minority few will used other brand.
@@sunnychew1638 very true and that's why I watch Ichang Jimmy . They are so open minded and respectful.
Different curry blend will be use for different kind of meat. There will be blend for chicken, lamb, beef, prawn, crab, fish and etc.
Just do what you guys wanna do...!! Be real. Luv the videos !!!
cute couple! -my future goal
🤝🤝🤝
Jimmy is smart..he gave the boney parts of the fish to iChang and he scooped the most meaty part for himself😆😆🤣🤣
iChang is always so sweet and kind. Try mixing the gravy together with some veg from the side..and the meat..pinch it into a ball then place the valled rice onto your 4 fingers..slowly use your thumb to push them into your mouth to eat. Its easier that way😃🥰🥰
Ichang, if you ever get back to Malaysia i'm sure a lot of Malaysians, myself included would be happy to bring you to fish head curry spots and show you the technique that we use to eat by hand so you would enjoy more
So cute both of you!!! N welcome to Singapore.. love seeing you both going out from your comfort to be like the locals. Oh yah.. there’s durians here too guys... hahaha
my favourite place to eat with my family...one of the best in singapore, many tourists there, very popular place,u should eat the papadom with every bite, super yummy
Love seeing both of u enjoy asian malay/indian food and how ur taste buds able to accept it and love it. and im so proud seeing u both eat using hands.. kudos!! love ur channel!!
So cute to see Jimmy trying to let iChang see him eat when he preps a good bite but iChang was too distracted by the environment to see his big bite 🤣 cute max!
Hope you enjoyed your curry dish. Do a comparison when you come to Malaysia next. We have very similar food and it’s like having a buffet when you visit some of our banana leaf rice restaurants or nasi kandar places. You can do a banana leaf series and also a nasi kandar series. Endless restaurants to try with different sub specialty dishes. Expect food coma tho.. carbs n spices gonna make you sleepy!
Yeah, only right hand to eat rice with. Pinch the food into a pile with your five fingers, then pick it up. Your 4 fingers is like a spoon, then push the food into your mouth with your thumb. You can look up "[TUTORIAL] How To Eat Rice Using Hand" by Izzat Zaki if you want to see it in practice.
Great to see you guys enjoying fish head curry in Singapore. I'm curious to see what else you guys ate when you were here. Hope you had a good time here too!
She's cute. I'm Singaporean Chinese. I grew up in little India. Banana Leave Fish head Curry is one of my top restaurant. It was still a small eatery when I was a child. Now they serve up class menus n prices.
happy to see your video again.
i kinda feel proud seeing ichang n jimmy know how to eat with hands now, i mean look at them in this video, they pick up the rice like they're eating sushi but now, they know the right way
Hi ichang I get hungry whenever I watch you eat . Anyway it's nice to see you enjoying your food . Do try food in Ipoh malaysia if you come back to Malaysia .
Its taste sour a bit (Asam Laksa alike taste) maybe they cook it with tairu (Indian homemade milk curd). Malay use santan (coconut milk) will taste different from the Indian curry.
im watching this in the morning make me feel i shud have that for brunch
Really happy that you noticed that food tastes much better when eaten with your hand.
Was waiting for your video! I could watch you guys eat all day lol, Mark Weins is ok only la. Indian fish/fish head curry is sourish but different from Penang Laksa in that its cooked with spices like mustard seeds, fennel and fish curry powder.
Im drooling and i should sleep right now but im to hungry watching u guys... 😁
One more thing for eating a Indian banana leaf rice set is, there is a special way to fold the banana leaf after you finish the meal.
1.top to bottom: we can do like this in ,where we have fun like Marriage function, friends ,relative fun etc… it defines that bye ,we will meet soon
2.bottom to top : we can do like this in,sad places like death funeral, enemies etc..it defines that this is our last meet
Apollo is a good choice if you are first time but there are many many restaurants in surrounding area that are less pricier. I avoid weekends for little india that's when the expatriate indian community does their weekly shopping and also all the indian foreign workers off day usually on sundays it can get super crowded and even difficult just to walk around.
You should try the mao Shan Wang from “Ah Seng Durian” it’s located at Ghim Moh Market!
The food looks so delicious..I’m hungry😭
Did you dive straight Banana leaf after you landed? Omg so cute!
Unbelievable 😂🤣 you guys really can eat! 👍
welcome to Singapore
should you guys ever to visit Spore again, try go to any hawker centers. its a hawker style with dozens stalls selling various type of local foods, you will be spoiled for choice. and its much cheaper variant too.
i want this kind of adventure with my future husband 😍😍 soooooo lovelyyyy
For me, it's fitting that they play Titanic BGM because when I see the bill I'll be like "You jump and I jump" 😋
Please try the best vegetarian bee hoon in the world. It is found in Tanglin Halt. There will be a queue. They are sold out by 12 noon. A must not miss stop for breakfast in Singapore.
Banana leaves restaurants usually synonyms with indian cuisine
While in Singapore you guys can dropby JB and try the famous fish head curry located near city square shopping mall.
Lol. They were from Malaysia tho.
when Japanese couple know how to say "Any seat laa." so Singapore/Malaysia slang XD
hi guys!! ivan here! hehehehehehe.
U all love so muchh bannna leave ❤❤❤❤
iChang in singapore!
Next time you visit Malaysia, pls go to Bangsar looking for fish head curry under big three..segoi oshii yo
SGD$72 is so expensive compared to malaysia's local Indian meals.
With RM 200+, you can eat for many meals/days in Malaysia.
I call this currency conversion syndrome. :D. When one travel oversea, one should try not to convert back to one's origin country currency else better stay at home. Looking at what they ate especially the fish head and prawns, I don't think it will cost less than RM100 in M'sia.
Cost of living in SG is somewhat similar to HK, also note that the location is a restaurant. Locals don't eat at such places daily, as there are cheaper alternatives like hawker/street food. Overall would cost about x1.5 compared to MSIA. But hey, tourist should try all spectrum of food, eating the high/mid/low ends. Even Mcdonald's Mcspicy was eaten by foreign presidents.
Brooo they are in Singapore not Malaysia. Please don't don't write something that not related.
Malaysia abit stupid..if they want cheap they can go indonesia.. More cheaper than Malaysia lol
You should try this in Malaysia Johor Bahru 😂😂 everyday everytime have to queue
I like background music "Panivizhum Malarvanam" Ilayaraja music. Nice video as always.
My friends jimmy and ichang before eating with hands we should wash it clean sharing is caring❤️
The fish head cost about half of that total amount, unless you're really a fish head lover, like cleaning up the eyeballs and even the brain of the fish, it's usually not worth the money.
Or you eat with a group of people. It's not worth it to eat large fish head for 2 people
My favourite fish head for curry is salmon fish head. Just made some some tonight. Oishiii
Is it better than NZ curry house in kl ?
Curry fish head looks great but I still prefer Nonya style . You should try one day.
For tourist yes....locals do not eat here.....very touricised southern indian food....
Next time u arrived in kuala lumpur let me know...I take u guys fish head curry cheaper 10x from that and taste awesome too
agreed. maybe total SD30 only
Next task try variety nasi kandar in penang😁😁
Nasi Kandar Hameediyah is one of the best in town💯👍🔥🔥🔥
She already tried it
Recomended
indian food is always filling your stomach when you use ur hands to eat..... you should make a video eating indian food with ur hands ichang... anyways i hope you both enjoyed your meal... love from singapore...
The cost of living is different in every country. Go to Indonesia and you may get half of Malaysia price. If you go to India and you may get half of Indonesia price. If you cook yourself you may even get half of India price ..!! If you have it in Europe the price may be double of Singapore price. Is where you have it and the choice is yours !!
Ouch.... "If you cook yourself" you will be dead. However if you cook FOR yourself, you can then enjoy the meal and still be alive and only pay half of the price in India provided the "Delhi Belly" did not get your first.
@@michaelchin3734 That is not my point and I can understand that you simply want to repudiate coming from where you are !
u guys should eat curries while in penang. in penang there are many great shops and restaurant selling famous curry. its a curry heaven.
Maybe a video on "iChang→ Changi (Airport)"?
😂😂😂

Banana leaf rice cost sgd75, that's very expensive....
Fish head is not cheap even in Malaysia
like the way jimmy eat 👍🏼 look so delicious 🤤
Do you still eat by hand like that now?
divided by half to HKD?
Should multiply the S$76 * HK$5.50 = HK$418.00 (approximately)
@@michaelchin3734 yup, u r right... haha
I think she thought of using $72 divided by 0.5 = 144 HKD, and the $ is actually MYR 😂
@@lowmario She will get a shock when she recount in hotel. LOL
That's a lot of food to finish!!!
3:38 it's like school lunch 😂
Hi
Come to Saudi Arabia
You finished all that?
haha doubt thats possible
Looks like too much food. You can always package the leftover for snacks later.
For me, I love the curry at Rendezvous Nasi Padang and also Chicken curry noodle at Hong Lim (ground floor). Chicken curry Noodle be there best at 10am. Short queue.
$72 is not a cheap meal but you had good food.
Omg so much food and you guys finished all the food..
Watching how Ichang eat, many women will envy how she can be still so slim... LoL
In my place northern fish head only rm40
Go and eat yourself.. No body cares
Next time come to eat at Bangsar kari kepala ikan
Hi i live in singapore hope you enjoy here
They use asam keping for the curry
Come to Malaysia you can get same or better food with only 1/2 or 1/3 of the price.
u pay for the air con and service and fame
Same amount of food for less then half of what you paid in Singapore in Malaysia
when u come penang again i tell u where to go for good banana leaf.....authentic.... no tourist... only local....
Authentic? Orginal Curry is from india..
@@xcre8ionx Hahaha...it is cook by indian bro....we have indians in Penang bro....
Eat the eye ball it the best part of the whole fishhead
curry fish head is invented in Singapore many decades ago
Yes, and its invented by a Teochew Chinese, Muthu's friend. Indians don't eat fish head then.
@@ivanteo1973 yup.. its a fusion between Chinese and Indians in Singapore
Watch this space. Some Malaysians will lay claim that they invented it wahaha...
Here we go again. Spilled the tea some more.
poor things were so shocked by the spice overload that they enjoyed the cabbage side dish because it was mild!
The meal is expensive because of the fish head
hi guys when you eatwithyour hands holdthe food abd just push it in with your thumb easier that way the waitershud hve taught you asthey arethe experts at eating with hands like muslim malays
"The Banana Leaf Apolo"
facebook.com/thebananaleafapolo/
try to make your very own fish head curry.. just use any type of fish.
Is it cheap if this meal cost around $72?
It isn't cheap
Singapore have many delicious native culture food like nasi lemak, fish head curry, and many more, pls try real musang king in Singapore and you cannot forget it, musang king original from Singapore many people dont know
what.. are you serious??
What a joke. Musang king origin is in malaysia. Even most of durian in singapore are import from malaysia. Do some research la.
Lol...oi stop trolling la...
@@LL-og5df wkwkwkw but all is from indonesia bro
@@ma-rc7sw not malaysia but indonesia

I like to eat banana leaf with mutton masala.
Indians foods are like my top 5 fav cuisines, but it looks like you guys don't really enjoy Indian foods, maybe it is not your kind of pallette.
The best fish head curry is in Malaysia!
Very subjective opinion...
Singapore is best
Must be hard to eat with one hand and record with the other 😬 Also you 2 can really eat, look at the amount of food for 2
Omg! That’s not cheap at all.
This is Indian style, there are local chinese version too
So many masala’h you got there. 😆 =masalah.
Once you eat with bare hands...there's no going back...it's tastier 😊
Actually going for Banana Leaf Rice and Curry Fish Head, the Papadam (crackers) is the star, for me dipping the Papadam into the curry and eat it is main reason I go to eat Banana Leaf Rice 🤣🤣🤣 so you guys should dig into the Papadam instead of Naan 🤣🤣
73 singapore dollar / Rm221.0 Malaysia😯😯😯😯
too much
Malaysia ones tasted better I guess? 😋😋
oishii na...
Nihonjin shouldnt eat not too much food ya!
u make me hungry😭😭
73.0 SGD to MYR
