If you get invested in the story and universe, I highly recommend not skipping over the 3 animated series, Clone Wars, Rebels and Bad Batch, even if you just watch offscreen. They contain some of the best Star Wars content, provide tons of backstory, lore, fill in plot holes, give context to events in the movies, as well as introduce characters found in the live action series, Mandalorian and Boba Fett, and I would be floored, if the same weren't true for the upcoming Kenobi series. With the Clone Wars, I would suggest watching it in chronological order, they had an incredibly tight budget to begin with, and it was considered as merely a side project. Something to keep the fans content, while we waited for the sequels. Then it became a huge success and they started pouring money into project. The production values and animation continues to improve season to season. But initially, their shoestring budget forced the production team to shoot what they could, when they could. So it jumps around a bit through the first few seasons, including the first couple of episodes coming before the animated film. Thankfully there are a bunch of watch lists out there to make it easy. Something that other reactors have done when making there way through The Clone Wars, is to just react to the major, multi episode story arks and watching the rest of the series on their own, since it is such a time commitment. One last FYI, I'm sure you'll receive multiple requests to check out and react to the gorgeous fan film "Scene 38 Reimagined", wait till after you've made it through Revenge of the Sith to watch it. As a stormtrooper with the 501st legion I've gone to a laser tag event and we faced off against a group of star trek fans. The Wilhelm scream sound effect actually is such an often used "stock" sound effect for screams in a ton of Hollywood movies in general (still in use today), but I think the first time it was used was probably in a few low-budget black and white Western 'shoot em ups' in the 1950's.
yes, I think it was from a 50s western... and if I remember correctly the reason it got the name was because the character that got shot and uttered the scream was named Wilhelm.
The two pilots that accompany Vader into the trench were both members of the black 8 squadron they were Vader's personal TIE squadron made up of the best and most vicious pilots in the Empire. To be a member of that squadron you had to have 0 conscience being able to do even the very worst things imaginable. Juno Eclipse was at one point the CO of the squadron but Vader removed her from the position when she openly questioned Vader's methods.

When they made this movie they had no idea how popular it would be. It was thought this might be the only movie. Lucas was hopeful it would make him enough so he could make a sequel with hardly any special effects. The novel Splinter of the Mind's Eye would have been that sequel, but since it was such a hit he could go on with the rest of his 3 act play storyline.
There is some cgi added in for this 1997 re-release. The original release was ground breaking and changed the course of special effects. Some scenes have been altered severely for this re-release. You can find the original scenes on UA-cam. The scene with Jabba was added for the re-release using footage from 1977 and a cgi of Jabba pasted over a human actor.
How does she not know what the rebel’s goal is?? They explained it very clearly in the briefing scene. Their mission was to destroy the Death Star. I think she was so bored that she simply wasn’t paying attention.
Those CGI scenes were actually not in the original version of this movie. George Lucas added them in the 90s because he thought it would make the film better. But most fans don't like the changes. Also the part where Han Solo shoots the guy in the bar, he shot first in the original version. Lucas made it look like they both shot at the sane time in this version.
LOL I wish I'd known you wanted the Storrmtrooper helmet, 20 years ago...I used to work in a costume shop, and we had one on sale cheap, cos it had a small crack across the top of it.
7:32 'is that as fast as a moose?" IMPORTANT SAFETY TIP: No, that is not as fast as a moose, not by a long way. If you ever see a moose in real life, get away fast, and try not to let them see you. NO joke. Don't mess around with a moose, they kill several people each year.
Real question is, was it R2 or the Empire that shut down the compactor just in time. Since they were being played right from the start in order to find out where the base was.
my mom said the first thing of star wars she saw back in the day, was some kind of ad that just showed 3cpo's face.. i guess it was a teaser or poster.. but anyway, she said he creeped her out because she didnt know whether he was good or bad, or anything about the movie.. nobody knew anything about star wars or what it was
I first heard about it when Marvel Comics came out with a Star Wars comic book in early 1977, based on the movie. The year before, Marvel had published comic book versions of The Wizard of Oz and 2001: A Space Odyssey, so I figured that Star Wars was another old movie, one that I'd never heard of. When Star Wars hit the theaters a couple of months later, I was pleasantly surprised.
Did you literally say you didn't think they were trying to destroy the base? That was literally the entire mission that had just been explained to the pilots! I'm just wondering if you were watching?
Since you were looking Star Wars helmets, Denuo Novo, they were formerly called Anovos, makes high quality masks plus costumes. If you look up the Tested UA-cam channel and Anovos, they did some videos detailing them and the work they do, which is movie quality! It really is impressive!
20:54 - As far as closing your eyes and blindly firing predictions, you...aren't really wrong. Vader's definitely going to be bringing some smoke in that sixth movie (that you'll watch).
I saw this movie when it first came out. Yeah, I am old. It changed everything for my generation. The only thing even close to this impact was 2001: A Space Odyssey. But that was far more slow and cerebral. This grabbed my entire generation and took us on a right we would never forget. Rogue One (which chronologically in the Star Wars universe comes immediately before this movie) is in my opinion the best. And this movie makes a lot more sense when you see Rogue One. Episode V is probably second best. And this third. My step-daughter did an internship with Lucasfilm working on some new software for their computer animation. I am pretty sure it was an early stage in the development of The Mandalorian.
I saw it at 9. I had been at camp and didn't know the hype. For some reason I thought we were going to a documentary about ancient China. Well played, parents. So from the first frame I was mesmerized. It quite literally changed my entire life.

To break down the Star Wars movies and series, you have the "original trilogy" Episode IV: A New Hope Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. Then the "prequel trilogy". "The Phantom Menace" takes place 32 years before "A New Hope". This trilogy is the origin story for the Empire and Darth Vader. Episode I: The Phantom Menace (the one with Darth Maul) Episode II: Attack of the Clones Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Then finally the "sequel trilogy". "The Force Awakens" takes place 34 years after "Return of the Jedi". Episode VII: The Force Awakens Episode VIII: The Last Jedi Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker The movie "Solo" takes place 13 years before "A New Hope" The movie "Rogue One" takes place shortly before "A New Hope" The Clone Wars animated movie, followed by the series, takes place after "Attack of the Clones". The last season of Clone Wars occurs about the same time as "Revenge of the Sith". "The Bad Batch" animated series takes place around 19 years before "A New Hope". The "Rebels" animated series starts about 5 years before "A New Hope" "The Mandalorian" series, followed by the "Book of Boba Fett" mini-series takes place about 9 years after "Return of the Jedi". There are appearances of characters seen in The Clone Wars and Rebels. The "Obi-Wan Kenobi" mini-series which starts this month takes place about 8 to 10 years after "Revenge of the Sith". These movies and series weren't released in a chronological order so it isn't necessary to view them in that order; just go by when they were released.
Keep in mind Disney only shows the special edition Star Wars that includes added digital effects. For instance, Jabba was never in theatrical release of A New Hope. A man played jabba in the hanger scene and jabba wa digitally added for the special edition release three decades later.
Also this is the only one where it shows like blood after someone's lost like a limb or got hit by lightsaber because technically if you got hit by the lightsaber which they later on fix down the road it would instantly categorize the wound meaning that there would be no blood because it would burn the flesh closed basically causing preventing it from being able to bleed and stuff which makes more sense
I think the real reason is either they didn't have the budget or Lucas didn't want an overly gory bloody movie. An arm would still bleed even if it was cut off with a red hot sword. Since light sabers are a physical impossibility we will never know but that's ok it's fantasy.
@@petercofrancesco9812 yeah but it has been proven with plasma torches that if you sever a limb it will instantly categorize the wound stopping it from bleeding so take that knowledge and give it to a lightsaber it to stop the one from bleeding instantaneously only problem is they're being intense heat coming from that wound
@@mogwiawolf4354 I don't understand why this is important it's a fantasy movie they're not bound the laws of science and physics. Cauterizing a tiny blood vessel during surgery is different than cutting off an arm and severing a major artery. Lucas didn't want gory gruesome deaths and injuries. Star Wars is intended as a family friendly movie that kids can enjoy. That's your real reason.
In reality, something hot enough to cut through that quickly would actually sublimate the wound, not cauterize...in which case, lightsaber wounds should be SOOOOOOOOO much worse than they are on screen Lmfao
the version you are watching is not the original 1977 movie, you are watching the 1997 version where they added the creatues and some cgi scenes like the one scene with the stormtroopers in the desert scene :)
First of all, Star Wars franchise is far bigger than Marvel or Harry Potter. In movies, yes, Marvel is bigger. But on other media, Star Wars is consistently among the dominant franchises. We're talking video games, tv series, comics, books and merchandise.
So in pre production George Lucas started his own special effects company because he couldn't find an effects company that wasn't working or had the skills to do what he wanted. That company is Industrial Light And Magic. They went from practical effects to being a CGI innovator as the years went by. You may have watched their work before. Wanda Vision, Loki, Hawkeye, the Harry Potter films, the Marvel Films, the DC comics movies like Batman, Wonder Woman, the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, the Indiana Jones movies, the Jurassic park movies, and many more. ILM has received 16 Best Visual Effects Oscars and 40 additional nominations. It has also received 24 Scientific and Technical Awards from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. They are literally the leader of the industry.
Grew up watching these movies love these ones the prequels the few in-between story ones the cartoon series the Early 2000 to 2004 ones plus the clone wars series plus the few TV series and I like force awakens a bit but mainly hate the sequel trilogy
A few points you might have missed. Leia mentions that the plans for the Death Star were being smuggled inside R2-D2 that they were trying to get to Alderan. Once they got to rebel base they had a meeting explaining the Death Star weakness and how to exploit it. So yes their attack plan all along was to destroy the Death Star. You are watching the remastered version with add special effects. When the movie was being made they had to invent new special effect because they didn't exist. Don't dismiss movies because they are old. While special effect will be better in newer movies, older movie can be better written. And a lot of new movies are lower quality remakes of older movies.
Was going for a “Friends” kind of vibe like the tv show! Most of the time it doesn’t fit the video I know lol but it just gives a message we’re all about fun and positive vibes over here 🌟
The look you gave with the "your kind" remark 🤣🤣🤣 they're droids man, and this is a cantina. They don't drink hahahaha as someone who's done A LOT of security work, I can tell you for a fact that bars don't like people taking up space who aren't drinking. They eventually get kicked out lol gotta make space for the ones who do drink. It's literally no different than going to a restaurant, sitting at a table but order nothing. They'll eventually ask you to leave to make room at the table for people want a meal.
Industrial Light and Magic (George Lucas' production company that made Star Wars) created a LOT of the movie technologies that are commonplace in the movie industry. Motion-controlled cameras, a lot of the scale model techniques, and others. There were no existing methods to get some of the shots that George wrote, so they literally had to invent them. Darth Maul is from Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Anything CGI you saw in this film was added in the 90s to bring the films up to George Lucas' standards. Despite pioneering many techniques and technologies, there were still things about the theatrical releases that George wasn't satisfied with, so for the 20th anniversary of SW, he released the Special Edition, which added many CGI effects (like the stormtrooper riding the dewback on Tatooine). This also served as a proof of concept that ILM had a good enough handle on CGI that they could proceed with making the prequels. Episode II: The Empire Strikes Back is the best Star Wars movie. Rogue One is a close second. This is simply fact and is not up for debate.
1. Sir Alec Guinness/Obi-Wan didn't want the part. Being a Shakespearian actor he thought the entire idea was silly and was beneath him but his wife talked him into taking the part. 2. The smirk Chewy gives Luke after he scares the tiny black droid is 🤣 3. These movies were put out in a certain order because there was limited technology and Lucas used and pushed forward the images needed to make a quality product. The best way to watch the is in the order they came out. We had to wait years for the next one. There was no internet where we had access to them whenever we wanted. 4. It's a good thing that the Stormtroopers are lousy shots. 5. No need to go into anything after VI. Disney took over and the quality dropped. I'm aware you have to because it's what you do. 6. The only CGI in this film are the critters the stormtroopers were riding at the beginning of the search for the robots, a couple of the huge critters outside the pub and the scene with Jabba the Hutt. Those were put in later after CGI was available. Otherwise, everything is what we had in 1977. 7. Obi-Wan sacrificed himself after he told Vader he would be stronger than ever. He went back into the force. He knows it's Luke's job to take over. 8. The awkwardness in the detention space is because Ford forgot his lines. It was kept in the movie anyway because it worked. 9. The next two are the best of the series. Enjoy! 10. Two movies where Harrison Ford is not Han Solo or Indiana Jones that get little notice but would be great first time/shares are "Witness" and "Force 10 From Naverone".
1. Obi allowed himself to be killed and vanished into the force 2. You have the original trilogy, 4,5,6, then it goes back to the prequel trilogy, 1,2,3. It ends with the sequel trilogy, 7,8,9. You should watch Solo and ROGUE ONE before you watch 7,8,9 3. This definitely rates an A, not a B. No debate. 😎

To be a member of that squadron you had to have 0 conscience being able to do even the very worst things imaginable. Juno Eclipse was at one point the CO of the squadron but Vader removed her from the position when she openly questioned Vader's methods.
"It's an older (movie), but it checks out!"
14:14 "HEY! You NEVER touch anything on the driver's console! It's very dangerous! And besides that, I got everything set the way I like it." --Coldblooded
First Wilhelm scream was in a 1951 movie called Distant Drums!
"I thought Darth Vader was gonna come in like the 4th movie" - Title of the film - Star Wars : Episode 4!
LOL I wish I'd known you wanted the Storrmtrooper helmet, 20 years ago...I used to work in a costume shop, and we had one on sale cheap, cos it had a small crack across the top of it.
Nice !!
Welcome to the Star Wars Saga, you two. We will be watching your careers with great interest.
7:32 'is that as fast as a moose?"
IMPORTANT SAFETY TIP: No, that is not as fast as a moose, not by a long way. If you ever see a moose in real life, get away fast, and try not to let them see you. NO joke. Don't mess around with a moose, they kill several people each year.
The Wilhelm scream originated from the 1951 movie Distant Drums.
The cell block number, 1138, is especially significant for George Lucas. :)
Nice !! Thanks
YEESSSS So happy yo see yall reacting to my favorite Saga
20:54 - As far as closing your eyes and blindly firing predictions, you...aren't really wrong. Vader's definitely going to be bringing some smoke in that sixth movie (that you'll watch).
Empire Strikes Back
That is my favorite. Won't say anything else.
Have fun on your Star Wars journey.
Thanks ! Excited for them!
Wilhelm scream comes from _Distant Drums_ in 1951.
I wonder why " MAY THE FORTH " is Star Wars day?!!!! lol May the force be with you
Did Wall-E come out before Star Wars. Congrats on being the first person in history to ask that question.
R2D2 was talking... He's just uses so much profanity they had to beep out every word he said 😜🤣🤣
I like that ! Lol
Two young Padawans are boarding the "Tantive IV." What will they make of this "old, long, slow, no-DFX" movie of the last century? 4:25 Jawas at woek, collecting scrap.4:47 "Wall-E" (2008), definitely AFTER "Star Wars." 5:11 You are watching the George Lucre edition, with DFX not seen in 1977. 9:40 Dark Side Choke. 11:03 Jedi Mind Trick. 13:14 In the original trilogy, "Jabba the Hutt" didn't show up until "Return of the Jedi" (1983). 21:53 A Dianoga. 23:21 "Chewbacca Bars"? Sounds as yummy as Tauntaun Jerky.;) 24:04 A 1951 thing: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilhelm_scream 25:16 The Jedi consider Death a quaint concept. 28:34 World War II-level space combat. 29:33 Short Attention Span Theater. 32:05 Did you notice that Chewbacca DIDN'T get a medal? "For a first movie, it's not bad." Yeah, right.;)
2:47
He don't need an answer.
It was a rhetorical question.
He claimed it to be a consular ship but there were no ambassador.
That’s fair !
Leia Is A Legend !RIP Carrie Fisher!😢🥹🥰🖥
The Wilhelm Scream was first used the the film Distant Drums in 1951.
4:29 Fun fact - that's shot the same place where Indiana Jones threatened to destroy the Ark in 'Raiders of the Lost Ark'
Yes the main movies are 4,5,6 then 1,2,3 then 7,8,9. Then Rogue One and Solo.
To break down the Star Wars movies and series, you have the "original trilogy"
Episode IV: A New Hope
Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.
Then the "prequel trilogy". "The Phantom Menace" takes place 32 years before "A New Hope". This trilogy is the origin story for the Empire and Darth Vader.
Episode I: The Phantom Menace (the one with Darth Maul)
Episode II: Attack of the Clones
Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
Then finally the "sequel trilogy". "The Force Awakens" takes place 34 years after "Return of the Jedi".
Episode VII: The Force Awakens
Episode VIII: The Last Jedi
Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker
The movie "Solo" takes place 13 years before "A New Hope"
The movie "Rogue One" takes place shortly before "A New Hope"
The Clone Wars animated movie, followed by the series, takes place after "Attack of the Clones". The last season of Clone Wars occurs about the same time as "Revenge of the Sith".
"The Bad Batch" animated series takes place around 19 years before "A New Hope".
The "Rebels" animated series starts about 5 years before "A New Hope"
"The Mandalorian" series, followed by the "Book of Boba Fett" mini-series takes place about 9 years after "Return of the Jedi".
Those robots names are C-3PO and R2D2
One of the wealthiest men in the country during the civil war was William Ellison of south carolina who was a Black freed slaver and plantation owner
12:40 here’s the real Han Solo shoots first from the original theatrical version of Star Wars: ua-cam.com/video/PjGZ8ABEFhI/v-deo.html
Cauterize*
James Earl Jones is the voice of Darth Vader.
the version you are watching is not the original 1977 movie, you are watching the 1997 version where they added the creatues and some cgi scenes like the one scene with the stormtroopers in the desert scene :)
Also yes to getting stormtrooper suit but also yes to getting phase 1 and phase 2 clone trooper suits 😸
Hope to see you in the 501st soon :)
Grew up watching these movies love these ones the prequels the few in-between story ones the cartoon series the Early 2000 to 2004 ones plus the clone wars series plus the few TV series and I like force awakens a bit but mainly hate the sequel trilogy
The sound on the tie fighters are made to strike terror in people on the ground, like the German Stuka bomb planes.
I like the series as a whole
Oh god that stock happy music at the start was an interesting choice. Real, uh, whimsical.
Was going for a “Friends” kind of vibe like the tv show! Most of the time it doesn’t fit the video I know lol but it just gives a message we’re all about fun and positive vibes over here 🌟
2:46 why does everyone ask that??? Vader knew he was being lied to and was being rhetorical.
Hey! The movie you are referring to is Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Menace.
Yes. That is Princess Leia
I know not a lot of people don’t like the last three movies. But still please consider reacting to them.
4:50 Considering ILM created PIXAR...
Also Obi wan became one with the force
She said “that’s sucks” when the Death Star blew up? Huh?
The largest Slaveowner during the Atlantic slavetrade was a African Queen who captured and sold 200k he name was Queen Nzinga
You know, I really love the flavpur of granola bars - I just wish they weren't so Chewie (see what I just did there) 🤪
Hope you two enjoy the the Star Wars saga. Much ❤ as always
This is the 4th Star Wars movie.
Also if R2 wasn't there they all would have died a long time ago
1. Sir Alec Guinness/Obi-Wan didn't want the part. Being a Shakespearian actor he thought the entire idea was silly and was beneath him but his wife
talked him into taking the part.
2. The smirk Chewy gives Luke after he scares the tiny black droid is 🤣
3. These movies were put out in a certain order because there was limited technology and Lucas used and pushed forward the images needed to make
a quality product. The best way to watch the is in the order they came out. We had to wait years for the next one. There was no internet where we had
access to them whenever we wanted.
4. It's a good thing that the Stormtroopers are lousy shots.
5. No need to go into anything after VI. Disney took over and the quality dropped. I'm aware you have to because it's what you do.
6. The only CGI in this film are the critters the stormtroopers were riding at the beginning of the search for the robots, a couple of the huge critters
outside the pub and the scene with Jabba the Hutt.
Enjoy!
10. Two movies where Harrison Ford is not Han Solo or Indiana Jones that get little notice but would be great first time/shares are
"Witness" and "Force 10 From Naverone".
4. Stop spreading that myth. They are good shots. They let them go on purpose to track them to the base.
1. Obi allowed himself to be killed and vanished into the force
2. You have the original trilogy, 4,5,6, then it goes back to the prequel trilogy, 1,2,3. It ends with the sequel trilogy, 7,8,9. You should watch Solo and ROGUE ONE before you watch 7,8,9
3. This definitely rates an A, not a B. No debate. 😎
You guy's should definitely play , Star wars video games. Best games , I recommend like star wars battlefront 1&2.. the video game versions nuts.
I’ve played a bit of battlefront 2 what I’ve played I loved just didn’t have time to play much !
@@mrflickswatches appreciate it , for u guy's taking the time to comment and respond 😊 yeah same here but I played the PlayStation 2 versions new one Ea mist up bad with the sequels..
Because Vader knew he as well as Leia was absolutely full of it. Watch the movie Rogue One the ending explains it all
The Empire Strikes Back Is still my favorite followed by Revenge of the Sith
5:00 That's 1997 ... and it looks "meh", because it is CGI!
10:50 Again ... it's CGI added to the movie later and doesnt fit the style, because it is added for comedic purposes.
Star wars came first with all the references u made
23:31 No comment.
Han. Shot. First.
Did wall e come out first? Oh nooo
