Say hi on instagram @ johannessteudel
Hello dear friend, I also have a Toyota Troopy 75 series. I used three-layer insulation for the floor. Of course, before that, I did a complete substructure and it turned out to be very high quality. I also used double-layer insulation on the walls, ceiling and inside the doors. Also, I de-rusted from under the room on the outside first, then I used wax paste and mummy spray in 5 layers and now the car is very quiet and strong and protected from any damage. I am in Iran.
You guys should collaborate with Toyota World Runners once their back from their PanAm trip!
Good idea! We love their story
Great job 🙌
Thank you!
How good hey. I had a bunch of rust in my 75 series. Well done
Great work. Most of the 70 series here in Australia th foot wells rust out.
Thanks! Here in Canada a lot of the rust on vehicles is caused by salt on the roads to melt snow and ice in the winter. What is a big cause of rust in Australia?
@All Terrain Trails There is a few reasons but its more the 75 series Ute's when the front fold down windscreen frames rust and leak. The rest is just build up of sand dirt and wet boots or moisture over time. Being vinyl floor it cant breath or dry easy during the cold or winter and stays damp longer. Plus the foot traffic rubs the vinyl floor cover on the metal floor which wears the paint away exposing the bare metal.
youtube algorithm helped me to find a new journey to follow!
Thanks for watching!
I had all of (floor, diff, chassis etc) the underneath of my Troopy glass bead blasted, red oxide paint, grey primer then everything coated with a high quality chassis/floor protection product Dinitrol. Do this job once and do it properly. Personally I would not trust a company doing it. As for sound deadning, once you have the floor in and all the cabinets, insulation in the side cavities etc it won't sound like a tin can...personally, and I mean personally, I think the sound deadning material is expensive and an unnecessary item..as are many so called "must have " items when kitting out a travel car. Keep up the build and look forward to the next one.
Hey Johannes,
Brilliant job on the inside repairs and installation🤙.
Question as most of the rush is presumably from the outside, what are your plans to rush Proof the under carriage?
Thanks for watching! There is a company here in Canada that does a special under coating on the chassis and body. I’m thinking of taking it to them to have them apply products to prevent rust!
@@allterraintrails sublime surfacing?
@@abjeepify you bet!
Where do you get parts in Alberta? I am in BC and need a Troopy muffler. thx.
I would take it to an exhaust shop for that. They would fit a universal muffler to it.
@@allterraintrails Thanks for the info.
so cool, thank you for this information, we are preparing our Troopy for a trip and we are also building our interior. Look @wildheartfamily 😉, Wait to see more
